Wow. Tonights show was about 78% better than last nights show (i have a awesomeness meter for these things). Started it off with The Wretched and of course ended with Head Like A Hole. During Head like a hole, Trents mic stopped working (2nd malfunciton of the evening) and he got really pissed off and just started throwing everything around while Arron climbed the balcony and hit his guitar along the side of it. As Trent stommped along in circles pissed off, it looked like Jeordie was scared for a second and feared being a victim of Trents destruction. Oh yeah, Jerome Dillian came out and played drums for The Dressen Dolls while they did thier cover of Karma Police. Im gonna TRY to list the songs they played tonight in no order.

Best NIN show i seen.

Next time I get pissed at noobs, I'm going to scream "Something's going to get broken!" and crash the board.

i just got back from the NIN show tonite and i am in total bliss. this was my 5th time seeing NIN and each time has a place in my heart.

my fav parts of the show: the big comedown (not sure why this song isn't a fav among the fans), no you don't, seeing aaron go freaking nuts and still play great, trent getting pissed during reptile because his guitar had no sound (trent threw the guitar, kicked things, threw his water, stomped around the stage in total anger), seeing trent get pissed off during head like a hole (love when he said "something's about to be broken" then he started to break instruments and threw a really big fit), before playing "TDTWWWA" trent said it was cool to be back in PA. He said he was "from the other side though, the shitty side".

Alassandro kicks major ass, Aaron wipes his butt with fink, jeordie is a wonderful fit into the band, and jerome is pretty cool (wish chris was still in the band or someone with his intensity. jerome is a little to laid back for me).

Dresdon Dolls were awesome. They played karma police (with jerome on drums) and war pigs (sabbath cover).

THE CONCERT WAS AMAZING!!!

a billion times better than last night.

Again, I was impressed with the Dresden Dolls. I hope they do a headlining tour soon.

The first show was good, I was all the way at the back in the second level - not great sound, but good view. Tonights show was, yeah, incredible and better than Wednesday. TR seemed much more comfortable and looked like he was enjoying the show, that is until the equipment kept failing and failed again during head like a hole when he yelled "somethings f***ing broken!!!", got all pissed and throwing stuff. Funny thing is, though we know TR is a perfectionist, everyone knows sh*T happens, and it really added effect to the show, so nobody was bitter (except TR) and the crowd loved the rage! I was 3rd person from the stage, dead center and only lasted I think about 3 songs until i couldn't breath and wasnt having fun, so I took a cue from the tiny girl in front of me, and surfed out - THAT WAS COOL! So spent the rest of the show on the side where there was some cool air, decent sound and view.
Again, there was no after show, but Rob Sheridan did his best to convince security to let some folks hang out and meet some of the band, though only one showed up for a few seconds and bolted.
Oh yeah, REALLY enjoyed the Dresden Dolls too. Didn't expect that I would like them all that much, but after tonights performance, I bought both disks.

Thank you Phila for a great show. The energy was amazing. Long live Trent

i dont know about u guys but ive seen about 80 - 90 shows and this was by far the greatest thing ever. From the energy to the fucking amazing light show, and when trent lost his shit and started freaking out, i lost my shit cuz alls i could think about was the closure live stuff when they just broke a ton of shit all the time. CHAOS ruled supreme tonight

this was definitely one of the best shows. lots of great moments on and off the stage and the performance was tight (when all of the equipment was working properly). i believe this to be the correct setlist:

head like a hole (most pissed off i have seen TR on stage and i quote "i'm gonna break something" by tr when i guess either his mic, PA,guitar was fucked and he got pissed[gold] during the 2nd chorus or so, before the break down and the crowd and rest of the band were left to sing the song while TR just circled the stage,holding himself back from trying to destroy something after trashing his guitar cause now he's 40 and realizes that this shit is expensive and he should be more mature, plus jeordie white looked totally scared of TR at the end...

i think the dresden dolls kinda blow, i dont know god would blow if i knew NiN was coming on after..but hey what are you gonna do ?

opening with the frail/the wretched is a nice way to slowly lure everyone into you know you are and destroying the, as opposed to in NY when he just opened with YKWYA on 5/16/05, glad i got to hear repitle live, enjoyed the hand that feeds and YKWYA in ny more, but got to hear reptile and starfuckers again in philly so evens out, over all this was the best nin show i'v seen, but all the nin shows are the best shows i've seen

* is it me or is TR doing something different with burn this time around, like stripping it down in the beginning

ok, why aren't NiN playing happiness in slavery, somewhat damaged, the breat below, get down make love or down in it at all ? not once yet in 2005, whats the deal ?

plus i think we should start a petition or someshit for NiN to play Heresy, Last and I do not want this...

Did anyone go to the bar on the side of the EF for the supposed "after party" I heard a runmor before the show started the band might have been in there, although I doubt it. That bar is too small. Anyone knows or was there please reply.

Easily the greatest line delivery of the tour so far!

At one point during his rage, he ended up on Cortini's side of the stage, he grabbed a hold of the side of the GIANT keyboard assembly, thought about tossing it for a second, and changed his mind!

P.S. During the earlier rage (that was mentioned above) Trent launched his guitar from the front of the stage all the way to the back, and directly into the lighting rig. Amazingly, he only broke the "upper half" of one of those vertical light bars.
He also tossed a few full bottles of water in the same direction, which must have shorted out a light behind Jerome, which could only FLICKER for the rest of the show.

On another note, I am glad they played Burn and Reptile back to back both nights. 2 huge highlights.

The sound was incredible. Was crisp and not too loud. Got there REAL early. Thank goodness for Whiskey Dix right next door.

Tickets say 8p, show starts at 8pm. Nails on at 9 and played until 10:30. Like clockwork.

Hello everyone!
Just wanted to give my perspective on the Elect. Factory show last night. Overall it was a good show, with some great moments, but some drawbacks too. I first saw NIN live at the tiny Academy club show in Times Square, summer 1990, and have seen them half-a-dozen times since, various places and tours -- many of which I've viewed from the first or second "row" on the floor (including this one). I'd have to say this was not one of my favorite NIN shows, though I enjoyed it, don't get me wrong.

First, the real highlight was Trent coming down into the crowd -- I think during "piggy"? Granted, yeah he's done it before, but this time was great! Not only that, but the man himself locked hands with mine! I was second from front, just to left of center (and somehow managed to maintain that spot all night). After he lay on top of the crowd for a bit to the right, he walked over to our side. I put my left hand out into the security zone, in an "arm wrestle" sort of grip position, and to my surprise, someone locked his hand into mine. I couldn't see who at first, but as the guy in front of me shifted, suddenly I could see that it was Trent who had locked onto my grip! Those 5 seconds or so left me in total shock. OK, so it's not quite like meeting the man, but it's as close as I'm probably ever going to get; I was psyched.

Dresden Dolls put on a great show, and a good set of songs (6 or 7 total). I thought their music was fine (not blown away, but good), but I was really impressed with the passion and skill with which they play. Plus, they are very nice folks. I met them at the end of the show, and they had a grand time signing my lithograph poster, doodling all over it, and chatting it up a little bit. As far as I could tell, the crowd also gave them some decent respect, which was nice (but also somewhat surprising, given what would turn out to be some real jackasses in the crowd behind me for NIN's set).

In my experience, normally the super "crush" that occurs at the front of the NIN shows begins around the time NIN comes on the set, or a little bit during the interval btwn opener and NIN. This time, I was completely taken by surprise when the crush began right after DD announced they had two more songs to play! A bunch of jerks on the left hand side just went nuts, shoving everyone up early, and fighting their way obnoxiously to the front. And throughout a large part of the NIN set, a portion of them made it a point to heckle Jeordie (who was on the left side of stage), screaming out some real s**t like "hey twiggy, who's the big rockstar now?!" and BS like this. It was pretty irritating.

Then I'd like to send out a big heaping "F YOU!" to the guy with long curly blond hair who forced his way into the spot in front of me for the second half of the show. I have no problem with people jockeying for position, etc -- that all comes with the territory, and I can hold my own fine. But this guy... After spending the first half of the show with a good set of folks to my side and front, each of them eventually gave up and got pulled out. This new guy bulldozed through people to climb forward, and eventually took the spot in front of me. OK, fine; but when the guy originally in front of me was getting pulled out, I had my hand gripped onto the railing for support. When the new guy slipped in, he then proceeded with much effort to try and pry my hand off the railing, and then when unsuccessful, began hitting and elbowing the top of my hand. That also didn't succeed in releasing my hand, but did succeed in really pissing me off. He then pissed off several people around me when he would periodically react to the crowd crush by completing flipping out and jerking back his head and arms, whacking two people next to me in the face. I've known people to get concussions and broken noses from crap like that -- completely unnecessary and pointless.

The security guys were real slack on the water distribution too. People were begging for water all around me, and all I saw was one bottle and one cup of water handed out around us. I've never seen such a lack of water at a NIN show before.

And what the hell -- no "with teeth" on either nights in Philly? I couldn't get tix for Wed, but was psyched when I saw that "with teeth" was not on Wed's setlist, figuring it meant he would play it Thursday for sure. Was very disappointed that he didn't play it (given the frustration I already had with the fact that he wasn't playing a number of others from the album throughout the tour it seems). Great that he played 'reptile' (though i've personally seen it live 3 or 4 times now), but would've much rather had 'with teeth' then starfuckers. oh well. will be very curious to see what sort of setlist he plays for the reported fall big-venue return tour (assuming that takes place). I mean, if he doesn't play more than 3 or 4 songs from the With_Teeth album on the "with teeth" tour, when will he!? LOL.

And a "good to meet you" again to some of the nice folks we met in the 7-8 hr wait beforehand

There isn't much to say that hasn't already been said. I thought the Dresden Dolls did a great job. Amanda seemed to be having a great time; I could only see Brian's shadow on the wall for the most part because these 4 tall, fat fuckers pushed my tiny body away from the railing. (I was on the top floor by the bar.) I tried to squeeze back in, but my hand got sucked into an armpit and it made me want to vomit. So then I moved to the very back of the top floor, under those tent-things and stood on a chair. I could see perfectly, and I got to see Brian rocking the fuck out. It was great. I only heard one guy say stuff like, "What the fuck was that?" and "Enough already" after every Dolls song until I politely told him to shut the fuck up. He did. I really liked the Dolls' cover of "Karma Police." I can't stand the original version by Radiohead, but I loved it last night.

For the NIN set I secured myself a place on the stairs on the top level, which turned out to be a pretty good spot since I could see the entire stage, unobstructed. Not ideal for picture-taking--the spot I had before those asses pushed me away was PERFECT for pictures. God I hate people sometimes. I'd have to say my favorite part of the show was Head Like a Hole when Trent went nuts. It was just awesome seeing him destroy a stage like the old days. I was smiling the whole time. Burn and Reptile were two other favorites. I agree more stuff from "with teeth" should have been played, but I assume there is a reason they've been light on those songs during this tour. It may not be a good reason, but I'm sure at some time they decided to do it this way. Would have preferred "Right Where it Belongs" over "Hurt." I love "Hurt" but I think I've just heard it too much or something.

I met some really cool people there, though I never really got names. It was hard enough to hear as it was. There was a guy who shared the steps with me a few times who was really, really nice--always wanted to make sure his head wasn't in my way because I'm super-short. And then two of his friends came along to share the space for a while, and they ended up practically having sex through their clothes the whole time, taking a moment to make out about every 30 seconds or so. The guy was really cute, but the girl looked like Hot Topic threw up all over her. They made ME want to throw up. It's hard to ignore people like that when their gyrating bodies are grinding into yours. I think that kind of behavior is what those tents and couches in the back are for.

All in all, it was a wicked fucking show. I didn't hang out to meet Amanda or Brian though I reallllly wanted to. I'm claustrophobic and took the crowd as long as I could. After 5 minutes of hanging around downstairs I couldn't take it anymore and had to run outside. Ah well. I kept my eye out for ETS people, at least those who I've seen pictures of, but couldn't find anyone. So if any of those people I met are reading this, it was awesome meeting you guys.

Oh, and 40 really looks fucking amazing on Trent.

Wow that one guy was probably the most obnoxious person I've come across during this week of concerts.. I'm talking about the one who was continuously screaming "HEY TWIGGY!!" or "WHERE'S MANSON??" he was even screaming lyrics to manson songs.. it was great to hear him in my ear instead of Trent singing Hurt. I loved that part the most. :\
You must have been standing really close to me. I was standing against the barrier infront of 0MG TWIGGY LOL the entire time, with a camera. I took some great pictures.

Anyone have pics from last night....I lost my camara during the show!!
Best NIN show ever...show both shows..last night was the best. All I have to say is....

edit: nothing that you haven't already seen, really. I put my camera away after the first few songs so I could enjoy the show. Regret not getting it out for Head Like a Hole, though.

yeah, i'm pretty sure it was "something's gonna get broken" too...he said it with such rage. that was crazy when he kept throwing stuff at the lights in the back and eventually broke that one. aaron north really stole the end of the show after trent's rage wore down...i was watching aaron do his spider-man act and when i looked down at the rest of the stage, all of the other members had already left.

another cool little thing that happened was outside when waiting in line. there was some guy wearing a pretty hate machine shirt who i saw walking around for a while looking for a ticket. the people behind me in line eventually offered him one for $30 and right as they made the offer a scalper over heard this and jumped in and said "i'll give you $60!", but they still gave it to the fan for $30. i thought that was pretty cool.

That's awesome. I met a pair of guys hopelessly looking for tickets; I was walking back to the truck to get my jacket and they were behind me as I walked in both directions (to and from). We got hounded by scalper after scalper and I heard them say one scalper offered them a ticket for $200, another for $115 and another for $175. I felt so bad for them. I told them I at least heard that the night before some people had seen others in line giving away and selling tickets for face falue, and that some people claimed they had seen Rob Sheridan offering some sort of pass inside. It was the best I could offer, and I hope they got tickets.

And I hope people didn't give in to those scalpers. Unless they could really afford to, and that was the only option. I paid a crapload for mine on eBay, but it was certainly worth every cent.

Oh, and I loved that you were pretty much surrounded by hardcore fans. That was definitely obvious, and the majority of the people were all very friendly. Cool crowd.

Well, here's how my night started. Got done school at 1:30 right...cashed the paycheck for this week in excitement. i had called off work all the way back when tickets went on sale, which i failed to get fair and square, i had to eBay them off silly people who dont appreciate. blah. paid $100 over regular price...im sure others have paid more, sadly. it was worth it at any rate.
my sister and i got to the Factory at around 5:00 and the line already was from the gate to the corner of 7th street (i think?...were from south jersey, no idea.) We were constantly looking for two friends of ours who were arriving a little later: "Why would you go so early? The show starts at 8:00!" i was hoping to video them turning the corner, my friend with a "holy shit, thats why." look on his face..they got lost and walked in as the Dresden Dolls started.
They were absolutely fucking great. I'm sure its just a matter or preference or taste, but I don't see how alot of people dislike them. Their set was awesome. I bought their record due to curiosity, and if i liked them, its always good to know what your're hearing. "Good Day" was damn hotness. Actually, i got a video clip of Amanda beating the fuck and a half out of Brian's china cymbal during "Half Jack", as well as her throwing the drumstick into the crowd (which i later found out connected beautifully with someones cheek?) I'm going to try putting up all i captured tonight at a friends house.
Nine Inch Nails were equally badass. I dont remember too much detail, as most of us poor bastards in the "pit" were a part of what i called the "Nine Inch Nails Survival/Weight Loss Program." Push, Scream, Struggle to Respire, and shed those bodily-fucking-fluids! Now i understand what Henry Rollins said about his seeing the Ramones in 1979 (?): "I had sweated all of my bodily fluids an hour ago.. i was nothing but a (soggy) potato chip..." I definatly didnt notice the whole HLAH tech. difficulties due to my struggle to grip reality. The set was evil-good, and i almost wanted to cry because of all the high-energy songs:

I'm 6'2", i weigh 155 Lbs, and i have a concave chest (its indented and very vulnerable.) Holy shit, i almost fucking died, it was great! The strategy was: if im not taking pictures, i had to keep my forearms in front of my chest with my fists pointing at my chin. if taking pictures, i had one arm to sheild myself. At the beginning of the show, i was very passive and just let people shove me around...that changed...i, as politely as possible, moved my way around and trying to keep myself from being burried. Trent (I THINK?!) kicked me in the head during piggy when he became superman. that was interesting. i was about 5 feet away from the guard rail for most of the show.
i tried to help people up, and let them wander towards the back if they had to. the few friends i made there were great guys and girls..."im just gonna clear the air and apologize ahead of time if i hit you or anyone else." people like that make me smile. alot of people were like this...very good-natured and forgiving. great night...got lots of good pictures, alot of them avantly blurry. as someone had asked, i did get the very end of HLAH on tape..."the final chord" wall of sound holy shit noise to when they cut it..about 45 seconds i believe...i shall post that too...oh and during TDTWWA, i got "All the insides left cold and gray." my battery was confused i guess...sometimes they worked, and sometimes they didnt. brand new, by the way.
When the house lights hit, i was relieved, but everyone wanted some mo'. I noticed someone had dropped a chain-linkish kinda belt...i waited a minute, then put it on..war souvenir? Then a pretty young lady walked up to me with puppy eyes and said "thats my belt can i have it?" very sweetly. I gave it back, and she thanked me endlessly, hugged me, and told me she loved me...once again, i love people. that gets better though.
after i finally i had enough space to tie my shoes for the first time since the audiences accordian effect happened (because of that beside you in time clip..damnit!), i ran to the merch booth. "Two lines!" and young lady said. really? it was more like a bunch of disgruntled sardines once again...i stood, arms folded...in a tanktop so soaked i could wring it out and make beer, waiting to get to the front. the clothes were priced so greatly, i reacted with a sour milk face. i bought the "A is for Accident" live Dresden Dolls cd. my sister, who had her month-old cesarean stitches leak with blood due to an elbowing Asshole in the audidence, pointed out that Amanda and Brian were signing items and speaking with people. "I'm There."
they were taking pictures with a girl in a wheelchair, and a couple when i walked over. i thought that was nice. Brian was the first of the two to become "free" so i approached him. I introduced myself, thanked him for playing for us, and gave him props for a great show. He thanked me back, and then i asked him if he wouldnt mind signing my cd. He did with a lovely silver sharpie...i thanked him again, and shook his hand. Then i walked over to Amanda...i said hi, introduced myself, same thing as with Brian. "Do you mind if I kiss you?" I asked with that 18 year old boyish charm. She agreed, so i politely kissed her and got a hug. Shes so beautiful...that made the night for me. I thanked her also, and was on my way out when Brian stopped me and said he hoped to see me soon, and to take care. I said the same back to him. Great people. I'm never going to forget that night as long as i live.

The only thing i regret is not getting a picture of my kissing Amanda. Grr!!! Ill post my stuff soon. Be cool, everybody.

first of all, nine inch nails is possibly the best live act touring. whatever you want to say about the setlist or the new songs, they are dead on live. trents voice is perfect, the music is totally on point and the lights are enough to make anyone have a seizure.


secondly, nine inch nails should play the electric factory every single time they come to philly. this venue was made for them. stuffing this band into a rusted out factory is exactly what they need. philadelphia loves nine inch nails. and vice versa.




thirdly, wednesdays night show was merely a warm-up to the chaos that would ensue on thursday. wednesday night was a campfire compared to thursday nights inferno. the setlist was hot (reptile, burn, the wretched, the frail, the day the world went away, BIG COMEDOWN (huge favorite for me), and even deeper were all highlights), trent was screaming louder, and the audience was freaking out. i sat on the balcony over the stage and the pit just looked like a swirling bunch of chaos.


however, the true standout moment has to go to trents big freak out. during 'head like a hole', he started singing "if you don't fix this, something is about to get fuckin broken", and pointing to his mic. then he lost it. he started throwing his guitar in to the drums, running around like a madman and destroying whatever he could get his hands on. at first aaron and jeordie just hung back and tried to stay out of his way but as the audience kept singing the song, they started losing it too. jeordie smashed his bass, aaron north climbed up the speakers onto the front of the balcony and started smashing his guitar on the railing in front of me. the audience held him up and tried to make sure he didnt kill himself. all in all, nine inch nails rocked philadelphia to the motherfucking core.



this concert was one of the tightest live shows i have ever seen (take a seat, tool). trent reznor has the sexiest arms in the universe. i want to marry jeordie. i am so in love with nine inch nails right now that i'm ready to hop a flight to atlanta. thank you, NIN, for restoring my faith in live music. it feels good. it feels really fuckin good. and you still got it.

I couldn't agree more with you. Tonights show was perfection, better than Wednesday nights show. On my way home I was trying to think of ways to get myself to Atlanta.. although that's more than a bit impossible to do. Nice to dream though.

So who is Rob Sheridan and what does he do with NIN? I am curious because someone with the band gave me tickets to the show on Weds and I'm pretty sure it was this gentlemen. Just want to know who to give the props out to and what he does for the band.

So...this guy (Rob?) just walks around and gives tickets/passes to random people on line, or just hot chicks, or what?

Rob Sheridan is the person who does the NIN website, does some directing, design and editing.

This is the first person who mentioned Rob giving away tickets at Wednesday's show. There are some others in that thread as well. She mentions it in the first sentence or so.

I think it's sort of interesting, that while it was an awesome show, and the temper tantrums were great...it wasn't really as great of a show as everyone is saying. Aside from the sound problems, Trent messed up lyrics to 3 songs (closer, the wretched and i forget the 3rd one now), and he messed up on the piano during hurt. It was a good show, but it wasn't perfect. I thought Wednesday's was much better, or more tight, I guess.

I loved it cuz of the tantrums, but of the 5 shows from this tour that I've seen it definitely wasn't the best. But the guys could stand on stage, pick their noses, and maybe occasionally belt out a song off key and messed up and it'd still be friggen amazing.

As someone else said, best touring act out there right now. Totally depressed that these were the last shows for me. But worth every penny that I had to pay scalpers and brokers for the tickets, and the 7 hour drive.

it is kinda i want to he's playing during closer, not the only time or down in it or anything else from PHM. i saw a bunch of shows and it was always kinda i want to. if some one is positive he's playing something else during the interludes sometimes let me know, i'm tiered of everyone not knowing what song that is.

and to who ever said "why isn't the big come down a favorite among fans?" i can't speak for anyone else but i agree. that song has always fucking rocked to me. one of the best off the fragile definitely.

The breakdown during closer is the synth part from "The only Time". There is no question about it and this has been argued to death already.

I have been to about 10 nin shows, the majority of them in philly, and this was second only to the Tower Theater show in 1994. This was the best view I have ever had for the band for the first five songs, until the dumbest drunkest most-deserving-of-a-horrible death frat boy in the venue decided to switch places with his ugly-ass wife and stand right in fucking front of me even though I am 5'4 and he was like 6'2. So I couldn't see much of the HLAH debacle but goddam the set was awesome, I loved No, You Don't and The Big Comedown and I just want to thank Trent for the new album, tour, and for getting his shit together cause the display of music, talent, and catharsis that I have seen sunday, wednesday, and thursday night is now so far above ANY of the other bullshit out there right now that it hurts my mind to think about it. Thank you, Trent you crazy-ass super-muscley bastard poet.

grab your pretty hate machine cd that you never listen to (if you did listen to it.. you wouldn't have sounded stupid just now)... put on 'the only time'... go to.. about... 2:43 into the song... listen... take out the lyrics that he's saying "this is the only time i really feel alive"... do not argue anymore.. this my favorite part of my favorite song on PHM... so I know that this is right.. along with just about everyone else.... and its not just the synth part played in closer.. its the drums too....

My 2 cents:

I was surprised it took TR so long to freak fucking out. He had already flipped out once, early on in the show, and broken a small part of the light panels via projectile guitar. When I saw him run back to the back of the stage wailing on his guitar at random and pointing to his ear monitors (no sound coming from guitar = bad), I thought ground zero had hit. I'm rather glad he saved it up.

During the HLAH freakout, it was only a second or two of sound cutting out from his mic that pushed him over the edge ("Something's gonna get BROOOOKKKEEENNNNNNNNNNN!!!!" Scary growl. Very scary growl). He kicked shit over, threw his guitar (and whatever else wasn't bolted down), and I couldn't help but notice the rest of the band disappeared. Jerome and Alessandro were pretty much covered by their equipment, but Jeordie stepped to the side, only coming back out when he had to sing, and Aaron grabbed his mic and stayed away until Tronk appeared to be done.

The best part of it all for me: Alessandro.

I am so proud of him.

The short, sweet, elven-looking motherfucker turned into an Italian Stallion when he BEAT THE LIVING FUCK out of his gear. Keys flew everywhere. Beautiful.

I've never posted here before, but I'd like to vent and maybe get some feedback. I love Trent and Nine Inch Nails, and their performance last night was great, but I simply couldn't enjoy it. I don't understand how anybody could possibly enjoy the pushing and violence that seems to be unavoidable at a show like this. I arrived fairly early, though not extemely early, around 3:30. I knew that a venue like Electric Factory would be conducive to pushing and moshing, but I still had to try to get as close to the front as possible, because I am small and I wanted to be able to see. Things were ok during the Dresden Dolls, until they announced they had only two songs left, then suddenly there was the first surge of pushing. This kind of behavior really pisses me off, I really don't understand the need or appeal of it. Of course it became much worse when NIN actually cam onstage; three songs in, I could barely breathe, I thought I was going to pass out, and my purpose in being there, SEEING AND HEARING THE SHOW, was made impossible. I nearly had a panic attack, and finally I shrieked to someone to help me get out, and crowd surfed the front and out of it, though I truly hate that activity. Maybe some people will consider my complaint silly, but going to a NIN concert is sort of a major thing for me, not just some opportunity to scream and act like an idiot. Logically, I know that Trent is an international rock star, and many many people listen to and enjoy his music, but still on some level it is personal to me. Why is there no consideration for the people surrounding you at concerts like this? Why do some people actully enjoy this? What can a person like me do, who so wants to see Trent perform, but almost has a panic attack from being pushed and smothered?

I think the only real way to avoid that pushing is to either stand on the sides, back, or upstairs at the balcony area. Although if you aren't 21+ then I guess you are limited with where you can stand. It does suck when assholes are blantantly trying to push people just for the hell of it. I think it might actually only be SOME people that do that.. but then EVERYONE ends up getting pushed up and it escalates into something bigger. Atleast you made it out ok, being up front the whole time I could see people getting pulled out of the crowd and there was one girl who did pass out that they had to try and lift from the front/center.

FYI, i do know for a fact that one of the loves of my life taped both of these shows. they won't be out for a few weeks, though. but keep your ears to the ground. the bootlegs sound like butter. they will be yours. oh yes, they will be yours.

I just wanted to share this additional memory.

March of the Pigs

The ending of the song. Reznor is singing each of the last few lines, one . . . . . . . by one. In anticipation for the final line, the crowd sang it without waiting for Reznor. In stead of overshadowing the crowd participation on the last line, Trent kind of backed away from the mic and with what seemed to be a smile and let us have that one. I thought that was a great moment in the exchange between nin and the audience.

ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS THAT THIS SHOW WAS NUTS! The best nin show that I have ever been too! Everyone so far has put it perfect! I can't wait for the boot leg movies to come out because I am going to buy one from the 18th and the 19th! There is this rock store here on the jersey shore that always sells movies from rock shows somehow they get them one way or another! I remember when Marilyn Manson first started touring with Portrait of an American Family and Trent I think was touring or just finished touring with TDS. I have videos from alot of MM's small venue shows. I never went to them but they were pretty cool! One I remember was Myrtle Beach! I also have alot of videos on VHS of NIN that were shot at shows during the TDS era. So I am hoping that these 2 philly shows will on video so I can have them for memories! That is a good marketing ploy! Why not make DVD's of every show so that people/fans that were at the show will want to remember it forever they can just buy it on DVD! I think that would be a great idea! Infact I saw during the first show that someone had an expensive high quality video camera, like the digital style ones that run over $2000, on the balcony near the stairs on the left side of the hall! He was shooting the whole thing! So hopefully we see something if I catch wind of anything or get something I will post it!

WELL on with my complaints about the show! Or should I say complaints about the people at the show! Lets start off on a positive note, everyone around me during the show even though there was alot of pushing and shoving, was cool! We got a water bottle passed out and the guy in front of me dropped some water into his mouth i asked if I could have some and the bottle must of been dropped back like 4 or 5 people and the same thing happened again when Trent threw another bottle of water out. I grabbed a drink and someone tapped me on the shoulder asking for some water and i passed back to them! That was awesome! Even though people were pushing and shoving it was still cool that people took care of each other! It wasnt until at the end of the show when some motherfucking bald fat fuck decided to play Mr. Tough Guy and start putting his elbows up! At the last half of Head Like a Hole he was elbowing me and stiff arming my left side. On my arm, at my head, and at my neck and into my ribs! So decided to get my elbows up over his and the next thing I know he fucking throws his stiff arm into my side! If I wasnt so tired at this point I would have gouged out his eye balls and skull fucked him! WHAT A FUCKING ASSHOLE! So next thing ya know he is fighting with the guy on his left! Arguing with them now I said fuck this I am out of here! The lights came on and that was the end of that! Why do people have to be such assholes? I can understand the game of pushing and shoving jockeying for positions and getting an occasional head butt or elbow in the back but this guy was doing it intentionally! HEY YOU FAT BALD HEADED FUCK IF YOU ARE READING THIS I HOPE I SEE YOU AT THE NEXT SHOW IN PHILLY IN THE FALL BECAUSE THIS TIME I AM GOING TO KICK YOUR FUCKING ASS YOU MR CLEAN LOOKING MOTHER FUCKER! ok now that is off my chest. Maybe I am wrong, maybe I did something to piss him off. I am not an instigator by no means! I also usually dont start shit! They should have an Asshole-a-meter at the door so if you walk in and your an asshole you get sent right back out! Simple as that!

Oh yeah before the show, I was in the back around the corner where the buses were and I got Leo's and Aron's autograph. I walked to the back past the dumpster with my girl and I said lets turn aroud after getting to the other corner. On the way back I see Aron and Leo and I was like "Leo can I have your autograph?" and he was like "You want my autograph?" in his spanish accent! As he was signing I asked for Aron's and we walked over to Aron and signed it for me which was cool, then a security gaurd walked over and told me to be quiet and not to say anything so I didn't but by the end of the show i think everyone knew were to go to try to get an autograph! Well that was my story of what happened at the show! Other than that 150 bucks for a ticket, Seeing Trent and the crew up close (2nd person back at both shows), Making my dream come true both nights, was PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and one last thing my opinion was that wed night was a little harder than thursday night! He eased us in on thursday as opposed to wed night when it started with pinion, then wish, then march of the pigs i believe! I just wanted to get a shout out to the girl with the red devil horns in her blonde hair, i hope you got in with the lighting guy and got an autograph!

as of right this second, that is my dream setlist. i know there is nothing from broken, but that is my least fav. offering from NIN (still better then any other bands best offering IMHO). i have been a fan of nin since the beginning in 1989. i remember buying PHM the day it came out. since that day NIN has been more of a religion to me.

i was on the balcony for NIN, i realized a long time ago that i would rather enjoy seeing trent from a distant (not even a big distance) then have to fight some asshole who is elbowing people and being a complete dickhead. i am short so i understand how hard it is to get a good spot for shows. when i was younger i had no problem being a dick back to people in the pit. since i have gotten older, however, i just try to find a nice peaceful spot so i can enjoy my 90 minutes of audiobliss.

thank you nin for giving me another great memory to add to my brain. can't wait for the bootlegs to start surfacing and i would like to thank everyone who has posted pics from the show! you are all so wonderful! -ps: sorry for any spelling errors.

See this is why I HATE seeing shows at the Factory. EVERYONE seems to think that pushing and being rude is du jour at that place. Skinny Puppy last year was ruined by the ENDLESS parade of assholes CONSTANTLY climbing all over me....and I was on the balcony! I never have that problem at TNA, Troc, Tower Theatre...nowhere, just the goddamn Factory.

i was at last years puppy show at the factory. i was on the balcony and had no issues at all with asshole people. the bad part of the show for me was puppy. i thought the show was really slack. at least i still have the good ol' days to remember what once was. seeing vivisect and last right tours spoiled me i guess. my mom went to the puppy show with me (yes she is a longvtime fan) and she was even bored. people were so excited to see puppy that they didnt care how the show was.

I've never posted here before, but I'd like to vent and maybe get some feedback. I love Trent and Nine Inch Nails, and their performance last night was great, but I simply couldn't enjoy it. I don't understand how anybody could possibly enjoy the pushing and violence that seems to be unavoidable at a show like this. I arrived fairly early, though not extemely early, around 3:30. I knew that a venue like Electric Factory would be conducive to pushing and moshing, but I still had to try to get as close to the front as possible, because I am small and I wanted to be able to see. Things were ok during the Dresden Dolls, until they announced they had only two songs left, then suddenly there was the first surge of pushing. This kind of behavior really pisses me off, I really don't understand the need or appeal of it. Of course it became much worse when NIN actually cam onstage; three songs in, I could barely breathe, I thought I was going to pass out, and my purpose in being there, SEEING AND HEARING THE SHOW, was made impossible. I nearly had a panic attack, and finally I shrieked to someone to help me get out, and crowd surfed the front and out of it, though I truly hate that activity. Maybe some people will consider my complaint silly, but going to a NIN concert is sort of a major thing for me, not just some opportunity to scream and act like an idiot. Logically, I know that Trent is an international rock star, and many many people listen to and enjoy his music, but still on some level it is personal to me. Why is there no consideration for the people surrounding you at concerts like this? Why do some people actully enjoy this? What can a person like me do, who so wants to see Trent perform, but almost has a panic attack from being pushed and smothered?

Maybe you should wake up and stop listening to this kind of music and try something more like...Jazz?

Anyone else pick up on the arm pit hair on the chick's from the Dresden Doll's? Of course you did. Everyone did.

It was lots of fun. First time I was ever at a concert like that.

I chatted a bit with Chris, the guest that went to 5 shows. I was the one you warned about the massive shift. I got pushed from left of the stage right to the front and was even on the little step.

The only problem, and this might have happened to anyone that ate taco bell, was that I had this terrible stomach ache. It definetly brought down the evening a lot. On the way home, I pulled over and had myself a casual vomit and felt much better. I'm never eating there again.

I got there with my friend at around 4. While waiting in line, I bought a book from an undercover monk, as he called himself. He lifted his baseball cap and showed me that he was bald. I read it while waiting. Boring. There was no Ganesh in it.

Also, while waiting, a homeless guy sang a song for cash. He got none of mine, but it went like this, "I'm homeless. Children are afraid of me. No one says hello to me."

When Trent did Piggy, the audiance almost swallowed him whole. The security guard held onto him like he was Achiellies, by his heel.

The concert went by so fast because it was so much fun. Near the end, I did what someone mentioned in another post, which was buy a shirt when I heard Head Like a Hole start.

Burn is such a great live song. It was super awesome. It was just a great night all around and it was weird to see Trent. It was just, Bam! There he was, playing songs I had been listening to for so long. Quite sureal. Like seeing a comedian from a sitcom you see everyday do his material a couple of feet away.

Anyway, I , like everyone else, had a great time and am excited about the fall tour.

My friend Tony asked me if they do that stuff at the end of every show - if it was just theatrics and dramatics. I've seen 14 NIN shows now, and that was the only time I've seen him a) go into the crowd that long during piggy, b) flip out and thorw his guitar at the (amazingly durable) lighting rig, c) spaz out like he did during head like a hole.

I was watching Aaron climb to the balcony, but Tony says while that was going on, Trent grabbed one of Alessandro's keyboards and smashed it to bits.

I wonder if anyone got a dupe of the house videocamera, that probably captured everything nicely.

Electric Factory security are a bunch of unorganized dickheads, I might add.

No one mentioned this, but I personally thought Hurt was the coolest thing I've ever heard live. EVERYONE in the entire venue singing along. It sounded so fucking cool. I didn't even care if he fucked up the a little bit.

i know a lot of people were taking little video clips down by the lower level bar area, but i don't know if there is a full high quality recording. it would be a shame if there wasn't because the show was incredible and cameras were allowed in to the show. i missed whatever was happening on stage at the end of the show too because i was watching aaron...i was really worried he was going to drop that guitar on someone's head. what did the security do that pissed you off? for me, they wouldn't except my id to go to the upper level even though it is 100% valid and i don't look that young...and to top it off, i don't even drink, i just wanted to go sit with my friends. but i had a good time anyway down on the floor.

14 shows is an impressive number of shows, no question -- but were they all relatively recent shows? Going back to the PHM and TDS tours, TR flipping out and throwing stuff around the stage was not unusual -- happened most of the shows I saw! Mic stands thrown through drumsets (and wounding drummers seriously), manhandling his bandmates, etc. I vividly remember Trent getting behind one of his guitarists in 1990 (don't recall his name -- skinny skinhead), grabbing him violently, and both fell crashing to the floor and slipped off the edge of the stage
However, I do agree that he was on top/by the crowd (during Piggy) this time for a bit longer than I've seen him do before.

WELL on with my complaints about the show! Or should I say complaints about the people at the show! Lets start off on a positive note, everyone around me during the show even though there was alot of pushing and shoving, was cool! We got a water bottle passed out and the guy in front of me dropped some water into his mouth i asked if I could have some and the bottle must of been dropped back like 4 or 5 people and the same thing happened again when Trent threw another bottle of water out. I grabbed a drink and someone tapped me on the shoulder asking for some water and i passed back to them! That was awesome! Even though people were pushing and shoving it was still cool that people took care of each other! It wasnt until at the end of the show when some motherfucking bald fat fuck decided to play Mr. Tough Guy and start putting his elbows up! At the last half of Head Like a Hole he was elbowing me and stiff arming my left side. On my arm, at my head, and at my neck and into my ribs! So decided to get my elbows up over his and the next thing I know he fucking throws his stiff arm into my side! If I wasnt so tired at this point I would have gouged out his eye balls and skull fucked him! WHAT A FUCKING ASSHOLE! So next thing ya know he is fighting with the guy on his left! Arguing with them now I said fuck this I am out of here! The lights came on and that was the end of that! Why do people have to be such assholes? I can understand the game of pushing and shoving jockeying for positions and getting an occasional head butt or elbow in the back but this guy was doing it intentionally! Oh yeah before the show, I was in the back around the corner where the buses were and I got Leo's and Aron's autograph. I walked to the back past the dumpster with my girl and I said lets turn aroud after getting to the other corner. On the way back I see Aron and Leo and I was like "Leo can I have your autograph?" and he was like "You want my autograph?" in his spanish accent! As he was signing I asked for Aron's and we walked over to Aron and signed it for me which was cool, then a security gaurd walked over and told me to be quiet and not to say anything so I didn't but by the end of the show i think everyone knew were to go to try to get an autograph! Well that was my story of what happened at the show! Other than that 150 bucks for a ticket, Seeing Trent and the crew up close (2nd person back at both shows), Making my dream come true both nights, was PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and one last thing my opinion was that wed night was a little harder than thursday night! He eased us in on thursday as opposed to wed night when it started with pinion, then wish, then march of the pigs i believe! I just wanted to get a shout out to the girl with the red devil horns in her blonde hair, i hope you got in with the lighting guy and got an autograph!

Ok first off, the guy shooting on the balcony to the left with the video camera was Rob Sheridan I believe. It was the same guy who gave me my ticket to get in I know that much. He most likely was getting document footage of the tour for personal use by the band or perhaps for DVD later if Trent decides to do such. I use to do this kind of shit all the time for the bands I've worked and toured for. They tape all the shows and then use it to peice footage together later when they decide to make a DVD or video.

Secondly, I don't think you'll ever see the DVD of shows thing. I actually had presented this idea to one of the bands I worked for years ago and they loved the idea. Basically you would tape the show and sell advanced DVD copies of the performance at the show and mail them out at the end of the week when the proper editing and packaging were complete. The problem though is Clear Channel has copyrighted some part of this process and had made it near impossible for anyone to do this. I'm still looking for the loop hole though.

Lastly, I must agree I would love to get my hands on a copy of both of these shows. Then again I'm still trying to get a copy of the show NIN did with APC a few years back at the Spectrum. Anyone out there have a copy of NIN or APCs set from that night? Let me know.

I'm wondering if any of the people talking about this were near me in line, cause there was a guy pretty intently reading in front of me, and the krishna guy got pissed at some people behind me. I was pretty much standing on the corner, with three other people....and one of them took a picture of the girl with the "jordie" t-shirt. And yes, that's how it was spelled on the shirt.

Other than that...an awesome show. Yes, the security were absolute pricks, but the performance was amazing. I spent Wednesday night on the floor, and got to get all squished and sweaty (though I did NOT wimp out), so I spent the next night up in the balcony, dead center of the second level, with a perfect view of the stage. We were actually so exhausted and drained, and I am sick, that we decided not to go to Atlanta as planned; still, what an amazing show to end my portion of the tour on.

I think what Levi meant was that he didn't think a spaz out on the last song of a set was something that the band planned. I believe he said someone mentioned to him that he or she had heard that NIN destroyed the stage during the last song in their set for every show, or at least most of them. He was confirming that, in the envious number of shows he's seen, it wasn't true in his experiences that this was something they always did. In other words, it's not planned.

That's what I got out of it, at least.

Double ditto. I enjoyed both shows immensely, but had a much better view on Thursday. It was an incredible two days with about nine hours of sleep, but worth every minute. That includes standing in gale force winds outside with sand blowing in our eyes, rude security people at the Electric Factory, etc. Meeting everyone was delightful.

I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Bring on the fall tour!

Me, nothoney, Greg and Jadezuki left the hotel just after five and to our amazement, got in line at the same fucking spot as the day before. Hmph. By the graces of two people that shall go nameless, I was able to attend Thursday night's show as well. I had been up in the balcony the previous night so I decided to hit the floor that night. The floor was still pretty empty once I arrived inside so I beelined it to Jeordie's side of the stage, where there weren't nearly as many people. If you want to have a good view of everyone in the band, get as close to Jeordie. Unless, of course, you want press the flesh hard to stand in front of Trenty-poo. Luckily, my side of the stage was rather tame in comparison to the pit that was erupting just mere inches away, so I hardly had to use my elbows or other body parts to secure my spot. I was only a head's space away from the railing, so I had a perfect view of Trent and the band all night. It was a rather surreal experience at the start of the concert, watching Trent play "The Frail" just a few feet away from me. This is why I jumped on seeing NIN on a club tour!

The dynamics of Thursday night's show were different than the previous night, where the band started out intense and only grew moreso throughout the evening. The second night started out rather subdued and only erupted near the end. Which was better is a moot argument IMHO. Trent was knocking stuff over all night, and I did notice Leo change his mics out several times throughout the show. Nevertheless, watching Trent go beserker during HLAH was something utterly spellbounding in a bizarre way. I could see Trent straining to sing into the mic but it was futile. Oh well, I can now say I've seen rodeo roundup and total stage destruction!

On a side note: during Starfuckers(?), when Trent was tossing water bottles into the audience, did he at one point place an opened bottle in the front of his pants and shoot water out? Between someone's bobbing head in front of me, I could have sworn I saw such an incident. Or maybe it trickery of the lights.

All in all, it was a wonderful two days in Philly and I cannot wait for the fall tour. The past two weeks have been an absolute joy, and I would drop everything to see people from this board again. Hopefully, if dates work out in my favor, I can catch a DC-Philly/Pittsburg-NYC string in the fall.

Is anyone sick? I have a cold I think! I feel like shit! I started to get sick friday night and I dont know if was the water bottle passing that did it or being in the pit with everyone sweating all over each other or if it was just a coincidence! this was my sixth and final show of this tour (for NIN at least) and i finally got to be front row! right in front of aaron.

most NIN stuff was covered in this thread so i'll say this about the dollies:

when jerome came out with the dolls to do karma police he broke their hihat! then when he was going off stage he told brian of the dolls and he tried to fix it. he couldn't so he took apart his hihat piece by piece and threw them onto the stage. he did a killer intro to half jack as usual. amanda had their monitor guy dave come onstage to play the simple bassline on her keyboard while she went over and picked up a piece of brians hihat stand. she hit the cymbal closest to her on brians drum kit a few times. the big piece of it fell off..she looked bewildered for a second then went and picked up a drum stick. she then proceeded to beat said cymbal rapidly then throw the stick into the audience line drive style. there was a pause between half jack and girl a. amanda looked over at him and made sure he could still do girl a which is mainly based off the hihat. he reassured her and they did a uniquely sounding version of that song without missing a beat. don't worry he had it fixed by the next night for their show in lovely washington dc.

That was my 8th time seeing NIN live, and without a doubt it was the best show yet. Probably because I was so close and the other times were stadium type deals. What I want to know is , who was that cute girl w/ the black hair that I talked too. In the right side of the crowd, we talked about how to get to the front of the stage..

i think i have a vhs copy of the fragile show nails did in philly. i must have about 30 live vhs nails shows. i will have to check (might take a while since im in the middle of a move). i drove from VA to philly to see the show. it was worth every mile i drove. i grew up outside of philly so i tend to drive to see shows in philly often.

when nails comes back around i am going to hit philly and dc for sure. i will see where else i can hit.

i paid 100 bux a ticket on ebay for this factory show but it was worth every damn cent.

I drove up to Philly from VA and paid more than I wanted to for tickets as well. It was so worth it!! I really wanted to hear "Awitha Teetha" live but I'm not gonna complain.

The look of fear on Jeordi's face when Trent went ballistic was priceless. I can't wait for the fall tour!!

I don't usually post here, but that show on Thursday was fucking awesome. I would have liked more WT live (I would have killed for Sunspots), but I was so damn happy with all the Fragile stuff that I really couldn't complain. Highlights for me were Reptile (bonus hissy fit/instrument abuse from Trent ), Burn, No You Don't, The Wretched, The Big Comedown..ok, I'll stop now. I had never seen Trent & Co. before, so hearing a lot of the old stuff was very cool for me.

Having been to EF for many shows, I knew better than to even try for the rail, haha. I was safely on the edges, about four or five people back on Jeordie's side, and I had plenty of room to groove...I've seen shows all over the country and I don't know what it is about the Factory, but that crowd is always the most violent. I saw Jerry Cantrell there in 2002 and got so bruised and battered from being up front, but it was so worth it.

Also, just wanted to say thank you to the very nice sisters who let me hang out with them all day in line and at the show. It was really nice meeting you, and I hope you got some good pics and maybe we'll see you for the fall tour.

Also, a shout out to the two guys who stood next to me at the show. You guys were nice to talk to.

And yes, I'm sick, too. I started feeling shitty on Friday, and I'm guessing I caught whatever it is at the show. This ain't allergies

I am dieig here and I am sick as hell it has only gotten worse through out the day! I have a soar throat and I know for sure it isn't allergies! But it was well worth it to see Trent and the crew!

Ben, I was right by you and I was right infront of Aaron as well. You werent the incredibly huge guy with a frow kinda or did you have the huge spikey hair and you were right on the railing!? I was 3 or 4th from the front in front of Aaron and by the end of the show I was between Trent and Aaron 2nd from the front!

I was saying in an earlier post that I got Aaron's and Leo's autograph and then someone posted something later about how they got Aaron's autograph and he didnt seem like he wanted to be bothered I just wanted to add to that that the same thing happened to me! He didn't seem interested, maybe that was his personality! I dunno! That is pretty screwed up if you dont want to be bothered! He did rock out tho! I was affraid that he was going to fall on us or take down the hanging speakers that night! His, guitar got tangled in the wires for the speakers and I was like oh shit, he is going to pull down the speakers. It was nuts, either it was that or he was going to fall into the crowd! Which would suck because there was a gaurd rail about 5 - 10 feet off the "bar" gaurd rail that he would have landed on!

Addendum: I have to say that The Hand That Feeds represented very well live. It's not my favorite song off the new CD, but the crowd got really into it. It's much better live.

No You Don't was fucking nuts (only one not in toronto) and so was The Big Comedown (better than toronto). When Trent went all pissy it was entertaining, but I wouldnt say he FLIPED, i expected more from him as far as craziness, in Toronto he actually jumped in the crowd.

Huge? No. I'm medium height and build. I do have a Jewfro. I was wearing a red shirt. I was standing next to a giant, at one point, but when the huge shift came, I was moved. closer to the middle mic. I was with my friend who's a fitness buff, he's what I would call huge. He touched Trent, so he'll be talking about that for the rest of the year.

i don't mind seeing people wearing shirts saying how they love a band member. that is not as funny as the people who walk out of hot topic. next to ICP fans, mall goths and hot topic shoppers are the best to laugh at hands down. i laughed at half of the people at the nails concert. love nails to death but damn some people try soooo hard to be "super scary goth". i felt as if i could have brought back gothgoose.net with a shitload of updates from that one concert alone.

the only thing i find funny about the girl and her "i love jeordie" shirt is the style of it. the shirt looks as if a bon jovi groupie handed it down to her. her hair looks straight up 80's glam also but....she could be from NJ and that would explain that.

it wasn't reallly a jump...well he jumped onto the floor in front of the barricade walking back and fourth a few times singing. then he stood up on the platform security uses to fetch crowd surfers...then he sort of laid down and was like 5 feet into the crowd on his back. it was awesome.

Yeah he was a very thin young looking guy. Maybe late 20's at the oldest. He was wearing a green shirt Weds night and looked like he could have been in the band.

Any word of a DVD floating around on this show. I just ordered one from ebay for the first night, which I have made it to. I missed the second night and would love to see it. If anybody saw it anywhere or might have a copy, please let me know.

Yes, I got the DVD for the 18th. I am searching for the 19th though b/c I didn't make it to that one. The guy I brought it from had 6 available at the time. The site was posted earlier in this forum but you have to view the seller's other items to see more b/c the bidding has ended for that one.

That's what I bought it for too. I heard that most of this guys vids are pretty good quality. I hope it is worth it. My sister bought one of his other concerts from the Wachovia Center and it was good. We'll just have to wait and see.

I got a reply from the guy on ebay today. The reason he isn't selling the tape from the second night is that he ran out of tape. His tapes were 90 minute, and the second night just barely went over that. He said he has no plans to sell the 2nd night, simply because he's not happy with it. I was kinda bummed to learn that he did not tape the dresden dolls, I would have liked to have thier set too.

well, i sent him another message just to let him know that a lot of us would be interested in it even if it is slightly incomplete. it really is too bad that he missed that ending though.

I got to mosh, get up to the front row easily, and crowd surf all in the same show. (the wed night show some bitch sunk her teeth into my arm cus she thought I was responsible for the 900 people placing pressure onto my body into her)

amazing show. It was great to see NIN in a place the size of my old high school auditorium. TDTWWA was probably my favorite part of the night...i was in the very front during this song and it was captivating.

also, Id like to add that the DVD most likely isn't encrypted. its very expensive to get the liscencing for this and most consumer DVD burners/blank DVD-R cannot write in that section of the disc where the CSS encryption key is supposed to be stored (this is why when you buy blank DVDR there is a pre-burned ring around the center...thats to block you from burning a CSS key) of course, this is assuming this isn't pressed DVD discs your buying. and if anyone gets this please msg me, i'd love to help distribute this (i live in the philly area and will glady burn this for anyone for the price of the blank dvdr)

i emailed the ebay guy who recorded the first show... asking about the second show, even if it a partial show... he said he'll release it in a week or 2... keep your eyes on ebay.. or just wait for someone on here to say they got it

We Arrived at 10:45am and sat with the great east coast fans. There was a war between the crowd and a crappy radio station 95.4 the extream team, extreamly gay. They refused to play the Dresden Dolls even though the crowd was requesting it. We even had the CD. We ended up all sideing with 93.3 they where sweet and the promo team was in with the crowd. The doors open at 7:15pm and the crowd shuffled in.

@9:00pm the Dresden Dolls hit the stage and blew the crowd away!!! The most memorable moment was when the two of them played "WAR MACHINE" from Black Sabbith. Two people, sounding like five maybe six people, it was incredibile. Their stage show made them the most incredible opener I've ever seen, (I was around for the fragility tour and a perfect circle was great but nothing compaired to the Dolls. I'm a APC fan too.)

at around 10:00pm NIN hit stage and opened with Terrible lie (I think) but YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE was next. I have a feeling that song was a release for the court date in NYC Trent had earlier that day. (His Lawyer knows how to dress, he had the sweetest suit on I have ever seen. (it shined Gray with white pinstripes, arriving in a silver Mersadies.) The preformance was out of control Trent was chasing everyone around the stage breaking them when he was near. Jordie was watching Trent all night and weaving in and out to avoid being layed out by trents ruthless jump kicks that where throat high. But Aaron man, he would see trent coming and charge him right back and boom a collision in the middle. Aaron was also falling ove Amps while being in a solo, with no missed notes. He is a bad ass. To end it all trents mic and giutar cut out in the last few seconds of their last sond and began disasembling the stage with his giutar and mic stand, Self-destruct style.(94-95) Then to finish Aaron was walking one and a half stories up on a banaster that was a foot wide with the crowd pressed on one side and a strate drop on the other. And for the last not hit jumped off the rail and when he hit the stage he timed it to the last note they played. The crowd had to all change their paints. It was undblievable. The best show I've seen yet, It will be interesting to see how trent keeps the intensaty during the fall venues. Trent seems to be far from done it is almost like a rebirth and I expect he will only get more intense as time goes on. They seem to still be on the up side of the hill, still climbing to the peak of their abilities.

They came on stage around 9-ish I thought. DEFINITELY not 10, as the show ended around 10:30-ish. The Dolls came on promptly at 8:00 and there was about a 25-minute intermission before NIN came on stage.

this person was just probably on crack.. it was NOT 95.4... it was 94.1.... dolls went on between 7:50 and 8... you other guys already said what time NIN came on.. and that the first song wasnt terrible lie... that was like.. what?.. the 6th or 7th song.. something like that

I must say that Thursdays show was awesome. And if you deny it, you're a dork. I have some issues to address really quickly...ok very lengthy, knowing me...some questions, musings, rantings.

PHOTOS/AUDIO/VIDEO - SECURITY etc. I had no idea what security was going to be like, whether they would have metal detectors or what. My friend said that the previous night (wed. 5_18) there were metal detectors, however when I arrived at the front on Thurs. there were just wands not detectors. Security was fucking stupid. I don't think anyone knew how to use the wands. The reason I was so pissed off is because I wanted to bring my camera, but more importantly, my DAT(digital audio tape) recorder If I would've known security was so unorganized I would've brought both. I've come to learn that secuirty really doesn't care what you have in your hands/pockets as long as its not a gun...but still I'd like to play it safe because of piracy and all the other moronic people out there. I do believe that there is an audio recording out there somewhere, just from talking to certain people. Knowing my luck, it'll be the only NIN show not recorded.(Columbia, MD - 5/12/00 - 1 recording and theres one bastard hording it for himself) I'm pretty sure there's a video floating around as well. I assume this, already knowing theres a video/DVD-R on the 1st night cause I've payed some dickhead on EBAY already who still...after 2 weeks hasn't sent me a copy. I live in MD, He lives in PA, It does not take 2 fucking weeks....I hope he likes Negative Feedback. anyhoo back to NIN I guess we'll all have to wait for shit to surface cause I would love to see Trent smash shit again! There are aleady so many people who have taken photos, so I remain hopeful. On a related note: I hate picturephones and anyone who thinks that the cellphones take the place of a flaming lighter at a rock show. Call me old fashioned, but I just don't dig the sea of LCD cell phone displays. I guess everyone stopped smoking. Apparently not weed from where I was standing

THE SHOW
When I 1st realized I wasn't getting tickets online & by phone I was pissed as hell. I knew that I would get tickets, eventually, but at what cost - apparently $125/ticket - 2 tickets which in retrospect was worth it. I honestly can't remember Trent saying "Something's about to get broken!". I remember him doing the breaking...just not saying it. I was up pretty close, so I probably didn't hear this. I didn't hear alot. I was really stoked that they played "The Big Comedown". A couple things I remember was Trent talking about Pennsylvania "Its great to be back here" You could tell in his voice he wasn't talking just about Wed. Later on, I think during "Hurt", "Closer" or a main song that everyone knew the words too... maybe somebody can help me out with this..Trent sort of looked at the audience and said "Oh my God" in a very kind of embarrased "Oh-my-god-I've-become-a-rockstar-clique-and-here-again-after-so-many-
years-there-are-still-all-these-people-who-are-still-singing-along-and-I-just-
turned-40-2-days-ago--GoD-I-hope-we-don't-end-up-like-Kiss---*uggh"way. Does anyone remember that. I think it was durin Hurt or Closer but I can't remember anyway that was my interpretation of it.

BESIDE YOU IN TIME IN THE MOSHPITS
I keep hearing about all these people bitching about the mosh pits and I think to myself, I must've been surrounded by really nice people or 2)these people bitching must've been surrounded by really big assholes or 3) These people bitching are pussies who are probably focusing more on the crowd than the stage or sceanario 4) a combination of all 3. I had a great time in the up front. I was to the side by Jeordie. In between Trent and Jeordie depending on the song and the constant swaying/loosing balance of the audience. Some girl started dry humping my leg very profusely and then she bit me right above my right nipple on my chest....I didn't really get a good look at her...but what she might've lacked in beauty and conversing, she made up for in hornyniss. Also when everyone was pounding fists in the air for Head Like A Hole, this skinny guy who was going apeshit the whole time, Hit his elbow on the forehead, which really didn't hurt, but he apologized. During "The Day The World Went Away" or perhaps "Even Deeper" (I know it was during one of the slower songs that Trent dispersed throughout the setlist to help us catch our breath) I was tying my shoe, cause people were stepping on my feet, almost stomping my shoes off. I had inappropriate shoes for this show as well(Running Shoes w/many breathable holes). During this moment where I was bent over, this one nice girl put her hand on my back, bent down and asked if I was ok. I was, maybe she thought I was hurling or kneeling over with pain. That was nice of her whoever she is. All in all I had a nice, non-violent, time in the mosh pit. No Cuts, bruises, burns except that chick who bit me "AWITHA her TEETHUUUU!!!"

I'll be looking for more material to surface from this concert, hopefully.
I guess I'll be waiting for the fall tour unless I can get off work, & go on vacation somewhere NIN is playing.

because it looks like you did not read the entire thread, i'll just briefly restate that the same guy who was selling the dvd of the 5/18 show also has the 5/19 show. he said he missed the last little bit of the show because he only had one 90 minute tape and the show ran longer than expected. he had planned to start selling that second show very shortly, but now there may be a problem because i've noticed that his account has been terminated on ebay, probably for selling stuff like this. i'm gonna try to get in contact with him at some point to see if i can still get both shows.

also, before you over react, i noticed that many people who ordered that first philly show from that guy already received it and gave him positive feedback for a high quality video and fast shipping. so you may want to get in contact with him if it doesn't show up, because he doesn't seem to be the kind of person to screw people over.

So is there any concrete evidence that there is a complete recording of the 5.19.05 show? Either audio, video or both. I really hope that is a decent recording out there. Where does one find a copy? That was probable the best show I have ever seen Trent give. Any who I am off to D.C. to see Kraftwerk![tonight, that should be sweet. I hope someone will get that one on tape.

I bought one of those videos off of ebay and havent recieved it yet! I hope the guy isnt in any trouble! I also hope I get the DVD! I wrote him an email monday (yesterday) I am hoping i get a reply! Was there anything really illegal about it what he was doing? He was doing it for alot of other bands as well I noticed! If anyone has gotten any news from this guy please post it! I am hoping to get the 5/19 show that he says he has! I think that was the better one, then again the 5/18 show was alot harder! More TDS on 5/18 and more Fragile on 5/19. It all went by too fast! I still can't believe they did 22 songs on 5/19! It felt like there was only 5 songs he played! It went by toooooooooo FAST! I can't wait till fall!

I definitely would share not to make a profit! Would that be illegal? Just pay for the cost of the DVD and shipping! Is that illegal? Well if anyone has the DVD PM me or Email me I want a copy! I still havent gotten an email back from that guy yet and it has been 24 hours now since I emailed him. I hope I can get my money back from him or paypal! I will keep everyone posted! In the mean time can someone please tell me that they have a dvd of the show or one of the shows! It's got to be floating around here somewhere! I just want the DVD for my own enjoyment! I dont need to engage in any illegal activities!

I have a better idea for the DVD's, but in the interest of playing by the rules (and playing it smart), we're going to keep this idea under wraps until it can come to complete fruition. I'll let everyone know when (and if) this happens.

In the meantime, if you've gotten the DVD, please let me know.

I bought this off eBay too but I actually received the DVD (yesterday or the day before I got it). It's not that bad, but don't expect it to be like AATCHB. =)

I just received a copy of the 18th show and the sound and video is really good. I hope this guy or someone will put up one of the 19th show.

did you get it from the original seller or someone else? if you got it from the original seller, and he will actually answer your emails, you should ask him about the show from the 19th because he showed interest in getting it out before his ebay accounts were terminated.

I did get it from the original seller and had asked him about the 19th but he said he might put it up but so far nothing and his account is no longer on ebay

Ok Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. It has been more than a month now since I have seen the show and I have noticed that no one has posted anything new about this guy selling the DVD's has anyone heard anything from him? I haven't tried to contact him in like 3 weeks which seems like an internity because I want to see the 5/19 show on DVD! Let me know! Anyone PLEASE! I stoped calling him too because some chick in the 5/19 forum told me to stop pestering him which was understandable but he's got to know how much people want to buy these things!

I know no one has posted anything in over a month, but I just got a dvd of the 5/19 show today (from seller cantprayalie on ebay), and it's overall fantasic! The video quality is superb, as is the audio quality--although there is not much lowend, but that's to be expected from a nonprofessional recording. The zoomins and framing are decent and cover everyone in the band. I only have two complaints:
1) Trent's crowdsurfing during Piggy is completely glossed over--in fact the camera focuses on a stage hand fixing a mic for the first 30 seconds or so. That was a disappointment since the crowdsurf was one of the night's highlights.
2) And the second highlight--HLAH's insanity--is indeed cut off at the very end, as has been mentioned above. So the last bits of Trent's stagetrashing, as well as Aaron's speaker climbing, are lost.
The first minute of the stagethrash is there, though, including the very clear and audible "Something's gonna get broken!"

Overall this effort does deserve an "A", and it's going right into the sleeve next to AATCHB.

Now just looking forward to the November....

i saw this on ebay as well. i would definitely like to get it, but with a tight budget, $20 is a bit much. i'm hoping somebody just puts it online again.

There is a guy on EBAY who has the May 19th show on DVD. I just received it on Saturday. It's pretty good quality. The only thing is, it ends somewhere in the middle of Head Like a Hole. His member name is youcantprayalie. It's listed for $17.00 and there are 5 available as of today. Just alittle info if anyone wants it...
