oh my fucking god i am so destroyed
every single muscle in my entire body is sore, what's left of my clothes are absolutely
drenched in sweat, and i am utterly exhausted, but not really that tired. still pumped.
easily the best show of my entire life, and i've seen a lot.
i was right there near trent, slightly on the aaron side, along with 50 people in about 10 square feet. AWESOME, NICE, COOL PEOPLE. at one point i was on the rail, at one point i was 3 people back. amidst the chaos it varied.
i probably saw a lot of you there and i didn't even know it. my bud, who is bigger than me, got so ripped up in the pit he wanted to leave pretty quick after the show, else i would have gone to that after party. he slipped in and out of it in my car on the way home, mumbling shit like "dude..." "...killer". twas really funny.
Everything sounded perfect, the Tabernacle itself sounds so great. Perfect volume balance, perfect mix, everything clear, just.. perfect.
Dresden Dolls are really, really talented. War Pigs was incredible, that was the one the crowd got into most. Their timing was utterly insane. Never seen anything quite like them really. Their singer was hot, but dude, what was the deal with the armpits?
But holy shit, Nine Inch Nails fucking rocked, seriously.
The energy was just flowing through everywhere, the band was really playing good overall, though they kind of fucked up their timing here and there.
At one point Trent jumped in, just a little to the left of me. I forget which song that was.
Setlist was great. They played a good mix, including Reptile, Suck, Burn, Terrible Lie, and The Hand That Feeds, which went over really great with the crowd. It sounded really freaking good too!
Only dissapointment is that they totally, completely fucked up Home, which is my favorite of the new songs. Drums were totally off, timing was way off, Trent tried his best to recover and play it out, but it didn't work. Not to mention most of the crowd didn't seem to know the song.
I didn't catch exactly what happened with the first attempt at Closer, but I think Trent's mic blew out or something weird happened. It definitely had to do with Trent. But man did they recover, they restarted it, and Closer sounded fucking phenomenal. Best I've ever heard it live, ever.
Thanks to the guy who was making sure everybody was ok and stuff, and pouring water and stuff. You just about kept some of us there from passing out, honestly it was very hard to breathe.
Also thanks to the girl who.. yeah, you know who you are..
What a phenomenal show. Words can't even describe it. Best show ever. Trent rocks.
EDIT: OH SHIT THAT'S RIGHT.
ALMOST FORGOT. They fucking played Sin, and Something I Can Never Have. AND IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen>
