Well, that was a damn good gig. I won't post the setlist, since my memory sucks, but it wasn't anything crazy, just one of those European 25 song sets - but I'm not complaining. Trent seemed to be on fire this eveing, and Jordie was loving it, jumping around like a lunatic. My personal highlight was Terrible Lie. All in all, I'd say the band seemed to be more into it than the gigs in March - which is saying some something.

Big up to Gonzo - good to meet you at last dude. See you tomorrow.

And finally, if you're the hot girl who lives in Muswell Hill that I was chatting to on the tube about Tool, send me a PM!

That show was FREAKING AWESOME. I've seen several on this tour, and that one was definitely the best one. Trent really seemed, and I mean this in a circa 1994 sense, DOWN IN IT.

DELICIOUS! And yes, fucking HOT. I definitely saw fireworks.

Love,
D.

Right back atcha, tiger. Get your bag back?

And that guy in front of us looked a lot like a Smiths-era Morrissey.

He did indeed. Yeah, got my bag back fine. I am, however, rather more drunk than I intended to be. I guess that's Marce's fault...

LOL, yeah. You were pretty gone when I left you. I need to buy the first round tomorrow night.

The gig was awesome, by the way. :-D

Oh dear. Oh well. Rest assured that I won't be hitting it anything like as hard tomorrow evening. Come to think of it, I really need to hit the hay right about now. Will be in touch tomorrow to confirm the plans (since I don't have total recall of our last conversation!).

Really tired, that was one sweaty gig. cant remember the setlist but they played Dead Souls and an awesome version of Sin. Saul Williams was great too.

Talk more when I wake up.
Master of the Ninth Arch
Did anyone else get the e-mail invite thing (that did turn out to be legit)even though they didn't sign up for the 'Spiral'?

Everyone else there was a 'Memeber'(snigger, snigger).

Good gig but I didn't think it was as good as previous NIN gigs i've been to though sadly. :(

oh my fuckin god amazing!!! way better than the astoria gig, set list was much better. my body will pay in the morning though. saul williams rocked!!!!

as a premium member i got to do the meet n greet with the band this afternoon and to my own embarassment i gave a crazy grin and the thumbs up to trent  , didnt really know what to say, they played 6 tracks on the soundcheck :

wish and i cant remember the other one it was all a bit of a mad blur. joining the spiral was definitely worth it. aaron north is a really nice guy who was a bit suprised when i asked him to sign tds. jeordie white seems like the poser out of all of them but still nice and friendly. i heard he was a bit offish but he wasnt at all. jerome was also cool, fucking amazing experience. trent seemed thatnkful he was in england for independance day hhhmmmm wonder why??? he also said he was real relieved to be out of europe, well im gonna go soak my feet cos my toes bleeding like a motherfucker!!
:D :-D

Really really good show Brixton is much better suited for a NIN gig. brilliant atmosphere the whole night.

Is the crowd for these shows getting younger or is it just me? . Many people in the crowd tonight seemed under 17...

Saul Williams was great, really intense stuff comming out of his mouth. He was impassioned by what he was saying and the bass was amazing during his set.

OH MY GOD THE CRUSH WAS EXCRUCIATING FOR THIS GIG
down the front it was boiling but when Trent jumped in the crowd it was worth it i touched his shoulder. the whole crowd surged towards him it was hilarious but dangerous for me at the same time.

I loved SIN and SICNH nearly made me cry the crowd completely drowned out trents vocals for hurt. setlist was the best one so far even starfuckers was great tonight.
Great great show cant wait for tomoro
to add to morgorths setlist, they also played

Awesome show- can't wait for tonight...

To add one more song from the setlist, they played Dead Souls
Anyone know if this was being pro-filmed?

The reason I ask is that there was a disclaimer put up on the way in saying 'by entering you consent to being filmed and recorded ... blah blah ..' I go to BA regulalrly and haven't seen it before and in itself doesn't mean much.

We were on the bottom and I saw 3 pro-cameras. One on the mixing desk, one to the left on the lower balcony and one right at the back on the right.

There wasn't any flying around on arms, but thats not NIN style anyway.

I guess they'll film tonights show as well and maybe move the cameras around.

not the best i've seen, the songs slowed down midway through and it was difficult to get ammped up again. the crowd didnt seem to be as into it as the other 3 times ive seen them. Dead Souls and Something I can never have were good additions, even though the guitars in dead souls didnt really sound great. I hope they play different things tonight or maybe at least trent could say a few things as its starting to become like every gig is exactly the same.

I know its lame to complain but at least i still think a nin gig is better than any other band.

saul was cool but i couldnt catch much of what he said
I thought the set ebbed a bit in the middle too.

Trent wasn't the greatest coversationalist was he, Did I miss anything, 'cos I don't remember an 'hello', 'goodbye' or 'kiss my ass'
Grand Inspector
Right first off, I wasnt as impressed this time as I was at the Astoria, I dont know if it was because of where I was standing or if was because I have seen them already or whatever but I will admit yawning at certain points towards the end... maybe I am getting old ;) That is not to say it was a bad gig at all, it was great, I just thought there was something missing. I would have loved to have heard more of Saul Williams set, I thought all of what he was saying was fantastic.

Thanks to Wix and his friends for putting up with me and playing some hilarious rounds of Timesplitters. Hi to Azure and Silktwisteddagger for supplying tickets and marshmallows. Great to meet Enemy Airship, Kleptonin, Frankie and shotgunduchess too.
Great show, we were at the in the seats at the top so not a lot of moshing took place.
Master of the Ninth Arch
Wow, I am completely shattered! That was an amazing show. Although I wasn't quite as excitable as I was at the astoria gig (my first time seeing NIN) I thought the show was much better. Trent seemed alot more energetic this time round.
Plus Saul Williams was great! I couldn't stop dancing. :-D
Bricklayer
my only complaint is this...

me and my friend got to the venue at about 2. there was maybe 15 people infront of us. we would have been on the barrier for sure. we waited for people to turn up behind us and then asked a guy if it was ok for us to go off and come back later, seeing as my friend had a load of stuff he needed to do and was helping me out by coming early. Anyway, the guy said this was ok so off we went. We came back later and the same guy denys ever seeing us, everyone else around denies we were ever there, which is bullshit because both of us are not the hardest people to miss. This fat fucking chav or something then starts trying to get lairy with us threating to "kick off" if we don't go to the back of the que. Later on inside he lost his phone, so you know, karma.

I don't know if any of those people are on here but if so that was really weak of you.
Master of the Ninth Arch
I've seen Nine Inch Nails twice before, specifically the two March/Astoria dates...

Although they were both great, last night's performance was FAR superior in my opinion.

Prior to the gig and after the release of "With Teeth" (a great album), my interest in NIN has been slowly withering... Last night was a refresher course, I have now been re-converted! :)

The setlist, although slightly similar to the rest of the tour was spot on, the addition's of Sin and SICNH were very welcome indeed. Frankly, I knew it was gonna be a good night as soon as I saw one of the roadie's put a tambourine on stage, meaning they were gonna play WT's title track, my favourite off that album.

The whole night was brilliant, the highlight for me being Piggy... I've been fortunate enough in that every gig I've ever been to (4 in total!) I've been RIGHT at the front... So when Trent came down, I was all over him... His hair, face, arms and hand not to mention the mic were all "touched up" by me for the whole duration he was down there, I had a great view and was able to hold him just how I wanted to...

Oh man, I could talk forever about last night but I won't... All in all, the best gig I've been to yet, even better than Fantomas, which I didn't think possible...

A small mention to Saul Williams too, he was good, one of those act's who are OK live, but I wouldn't want to buy any of his stuff... He served his purpose as an opener.

Bring on next week as I shall be at the 13th/14th gigs too, which means I'll have seen NIN 5 times!
Master of the Ninth Arch

i think they were better last night than at Astoria, mainly as i think they have gelled more and they all seem much more comfortable. Trent was def on form and i have to say the highlight was Sin. he even started throwing the mic stand (old skool Trent!!!) one thing which baffled me; if my memory serves me right they never played Only which i find very surprising as its the next single. still quality night and i just cant wait for tonight and also friday at Birmingham :-D

Two questions for helpful people:

What was the song played before pinion – (sounded like a recorded remix of reptile?) sounded pretty cool..

DID ANYONE ELSE see kinga from big brother? I got in about half an hour before nin came onstage, and as I was walking through the lobby I bumped into this girl who looked exactly like her..i didn’t look long enough to be sure, but a group of lads were smiling in her general direction so..

loved sicnh
Bricklayer
So glad everyone is saying these gigs were better than the Astoria ones, as I couldn't get a ticket for love nor money (Unless you count an offer of £90 from a tout on the second night...) to either.
An amazing set, very impressed, especially as I've been studying Aaron North's form recently and thinking "Nice try mate, but you ain't Robin Fink!" although the sound is certainly 'poppier' (Keyboard on Sin being a case in point) and less 'industrial' than the 'Fragility' era.
Oh, and I can die happy now, who sang right in to the mike during Piggy? Ah, bliss.
Knight Aspirant
oh my shit

got to the venue at 9.45 where sexy ferret and others who were there at the astoria in front of us were.

some ridiculous people who thought the lithos were £2 and WT wasn't GOFF enough got backstage passes because they were only letting single females get them. ("they" = security at academy). azure pretended to want a pass and gave it to the guy who had been standing there since 6AM and is going to every show on the tour - cos he fucking deserves it. will write complaint to academy later.

people spoke to the guitar tech, who said that the 4/5 shows are being recorded for the DVD

met the frakie and the klep and the wix and the owen and the shotgun and the airship - chuck and gonzo where the fuck were you?

girls and boys got frisked separately

go to www.fallenstorm.co.uk for the best pics of the tour you will see

barrier is higher than astoria barrier so 4ft11 me almost died
got squished more than usual, and security weren't as good with water compared to astoria. the girl behind me helped me breath.

SAUL WILIAMS IS A FUCKING POET. far better than on cd, but the dolls still have my heart. seriously though, amazing. he said sutff about being american on july 4th

stiff trent threw into the crowd: tambourine, water bottles, himself ( during piggy_

places i groped trent - arms (i think weight lifting is the new cocaine), ass (For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen hypno ass is such an accurate representation), thighs
i also stroked his hair and said thank you

a fucking giant cunt squeezed in between myself and azure after this, and i almost died, so much so that the security kept asking me iof i wanted to get out twice per song.

jeordie is a miserable fucker
i just noticed jerome looks like seth green
ha ha - rob's hair

either myself, azure, or shotgun duchess are going to be kerrang's face int he crowd

rob's camera man taped trent leaping into the crowd, and hopefully, my molesting him (ha ha saturnine)

setlist was ficking insane opneing with wish, sin, tlbtb, motp and closing with dykwya, starfuckers, hlah. burn and dead souls were played.

i think thats about it. i woke up with breathing problems this morning but its all good. got the shitty thin tshirt.

wow.
i just got back home to newcastle and i'm wrecked.
was right at the front between jeordie and trent.. fucking perfect view.. got seriously crushed and very very sweaty but it was all worth it. got soaked with trent's water a few times. touched his arm. woo. got a smile off him and jeordie. i have a really swollen and bruised left wrist off holding onto the barrier. argh.
the setlist was really good - i'm glad i got to hear something i can never have.
hurt sounded good - trent looked happy when people were singing along. although the song itself was at a weird place in the setlist or so i thought.
the security guys were really nice - i think i would've died without that water.
and saul williams is fucking amazing.
such a good night.. a few things pissed me off when i was in the queue but i'm not even gonna bother mentioning them.
Prince Adept
So, I headed to Brixton and cut in line. By now, Shotgun Duchess, EnemyAirship, Frankie and kleptonin were there as well as azure, silktwisteddagger and acid pits, who I met there earlier. UK ETS MEETUP REPRESENT! SD gave me her bag, which I was made to put in the cloackroom. When I gave her the ticket for it, I had two more gig tickets thrust into my hands, and was told to give them to "Ben" outside. Which I did. This made him rather happy.

DON'T SAY I NEVER DO ANYTHING FOR YOU PEOPLE.

Anyway, the support was Saul Williams. He's a freakin' poet. I loved his set, and I'm so glad Im going to be able to see him again. He's one exceptionally clever man, and witty too. I should find out more about him. But a brilliant support, I was entralled from start to finish.

So how about that NIN band? Well, first off, they played a blinding set. 25 or so songs, 1 hour 50 minutes, no encore. Which is how I like things. Encores pretty much suck. I'd rather have the same number of songs without having to stand around in darkness for five minutes. I forget the setlist, but my highlights were Sin (which I danced liked a motherfucker possessed for) and The Frail/The Wretched, which was extremely heavy. Seemed bigger than on the CD. The band were on form, this gig was much better than the Astoria shows. I was standing with some ETS people behind a barrier in the middle, a bit back from the stage. I loved every minute of it.

I can't wait for the 14th.
That was the first nin gig i've been to and was worth the 9 about years I've been waiting.
The best night I've had in a very long time.
Just seeing Reznor so close was something in it's self.
The set list was excellent with s.i.c.n.h. coming as a beautiful and much needed breather quite early on and being a mass Joy Division fan I was more than pleased to hear dead souls.
And Burn.......fuck me.
The whole night I was on cloud 9 with out the chemical boost and the atmosphere was grand.
10 out of 10 in my books and I'm lucky enough to be able to repeat it all on the 14th.
Master ad Vitam
Absolutely fuckin amazing.
Trent grabbed my hand when he jumped into the crowd during Piggy and I got to touch his face!
While waiting in the queue I had been talking to three really cool people, one girl named Laura, the guy's name I forgot (both from London I think), and a very nice lady from Italy :).
The guy had curly black hair, and was wearing a t-shirt that had "Alien Sex Fiend" printed on it.
If any of you two read this: I am the guy from Belgium! Could you get in touch, cause I didnt find you anymore after the gig!
Master of the Ninth Arch
Brilliant gig, much better than the Astoria one that I went to. I think for one thing I enjoyed it more standing back from the mosh pit and watching the show. Seriously, people who get right to the front for every gig don't know what they're missing, the light show was awesome.

I was pleased Saul Williams went down well, he was pretty intense live. The first song he did I didn't know, but he cut it short because his microphone wasn't working properly. Everything else was off his new album. He got a huge cheer before his last song, to which he replied 'thanks, that's very nice... eveybody said to me, don't even think about playing in front of a nine inch nails crowd...' to which the crowd cheered even more. How nice :)

The NIN setlist was pretty different to the one I saw before, they played all the songs they've played this tour that I didn't see them play last time I think. Something I Can Never Have took me most by surprise, didn't think he'd be playing that this tour. Has it been played at all previously this year?

Some lucky person in the front row got a tambourine, I was *so* close to catching a bottle of water that Trent threw but someone standing next to me was a better catch.

I guess I kind of agree that the set dipped a bit in the middle, also I wasn't too keen on hearing them play Dead Souls. Nonetheless, fantastic gig for both bands.

Ok this is a more complete setlist, but not in order:

Head Like A Hole

gave up
hurt
starfuckers
you know what you are?
burn
something I can never have
piggy
March of the pigs
the frail
the wretched
love is not enough
the big comedown
dead souls

There are still 2 or 3 songs missing.
About the tambourine: I actually cought it, together with 6 other people or something.
Everyone immediately put their arm around it and started pulling and pushing.
After 20 seconds or so, I realised how ridiculous it all was: these people are missing the fuckin show, because of a bloody plastic tambourine!
So I just let go, and enjoyed the show.
At the end of the show Jeordie threw his guitar into the audience too!
I would have fought for that one tho :)

at least you missed out on Closer and Home. That's it I think. Soo, I'm finally back in Sweden (we missed our flight at Stansted with 10 minutes because a fucking lorry rammed our couch going to the airport).

The show was great. As stated earlier, the intensity lessend after about 10 songs. Maybe because of the heat. I know I was exhausted. But that didn't matter. Piggy was great. Terrible lie too.

I want to know who ended up getting the Tambourine....................

Seriously, very good night (Notice the slight understatement)

Only Tarnished by Losing half my freinds and My 17 year old little bro 30 seconds after walking through the door, and miss gettin merch at the end to find him, then seeing him walk out with my freinds Arvin and Haley, carrying a t-shirt and badges, with the biggest fucking grin on his face ever

Theyd got him right up to the front and plied him with cheap WKD Haley had got in through a catering freind :-)

To make it worse, I consoled myself with getting a lithograph next Wednesday, only to clock that the prints are diffrnt next week................

Gutted.

But strangely elated at the same time.

Anyone got a spare lithograph? Cant see these babies appearing on the online merch sight :)

Saul Williams

Very good

Please im me if there is any hope of the "lithograph" thing..............

I would be in your debt forever!!

I didn't make the Astoria shows thanks to the scalpers, so this was my first show since the second Brixton show in '99. And for me, this was the best of the lot. One or two songs I'd like to have heard that they didn't play, but that's the same for everyone I guess. And hearing Burn and Dead Souls live made up for that anyway! Saul Williams was a very pleasant surprise, seemed to win over at least some of the sceptics in the crowd.
And that's even if I wasn't one of the jammy bas- sorry, lucky people ;) who were at the meet and greet (greetings to my fellow attendees, especially James).

Also, although I didnt have time to que for the Merch at the end due to the "locating the brother I had promised to gaurd with my life" thing, I did notice the Blue Thermal I got at the Astoria didnt seem to be onsale there...........Or did I just miss them? (I did have my mind on other things)

NIN SUX LOL

thx to tubby fellow who decide to squash frankie and kleptonin into our barrier with his enormous guts!

i meet lots of cool ets people like wix, owen, azure, shotgunduchess, silktwisteddagger, enemyairship and see lots of crazy nin goths (goths: :()

overall thise show was a tremendous and only (nin lol) improvement would be if tretn reznax give me a tambourine and maybee a kiss

Master of the Ninth Arch
The crowd seemed a bit stale at moments, a reluctancy to mosh for the most part it seemed, and when they did start, it just consisted of people swaying around in big groups trying not to fall over. When wish started i tried to start a mosh and i pushed this women that i saw trying to mosh earlier, and she went psycho, like pushing me and punching me in the belly. The moral of this being: dont mosh with angry little goth girls.

Apart from that though (that being quite small), the gig was fantastic, they were so tight, Terrible Lie was briliiant, and the only time bridge in Closer sound fantastic live! Did anyone tape the show?

Re: The Tambourine.

There was much fighting over said instrument after it reached the crowd. At one point a guy had his arm hooked through it, while people fought at it, trying to rip his arm off.

Security stepped in and made the guy take it off his arm; i think they were going to remove the thing from the crowd entirely, as it was obvious that some crowd members may well murder others for a chance to walk away with it.

Ben had other ideas.

As soon as the fighting stopped and security were about to grab it and take it away, Ben moved in for it. There was much fighting which involved his sister being punched by another crowd member. I *think* his sister then bit her in retaliation at somepoint. Ben's hand is cut to hell, with the little cymbals having cut and slashed his hand while holding on for dear life, but it looked like he won.

His little sister had other ideas

She takes the tambourine from her brother, crowd surfs out of the dangerzone with it (clever!), and disappears.

Ben was talking murder the last time I saw him. I think hes pissed at her.

Its all cool though, he ended up with a piece of guitar. Oh, yeah, its now in my possession.

(i'll get it to you)
Master ad Vitam
Hey I think I was standing next to this guy Ben!
I was also holding on to the tambourine at first.
If I'm correct Ben was the one that also screamed along into the mic, afterwards I told him he'll be on the bootleg

here is my review that i wrote when i got home.

so i just got home from NIN at Brixton on the 4th of July. well it was a strange show for me, having seen them previously in 1999 at the same venue with Robin and Danny in the band it felt weird seeing them like this, firstly i want to say i thought Trent was brilliant, really put everything into it but i just wasnt impressed with Aaron or Jeordie, Aaron was fun for the first couple of songs flinging his guitar around like he wanted to be Kurt Cobain but when he did this for every song it became a bit of an act (like he feels he has to act like that since gaining a reputation for it - more staged than emotionally provoked), obviously someone told Geordie to liven up a bit too, having previously seen him play live with Marilyn Manson and A Perfect Circle he never used to jump around and fling his bass around, he had obviously been told to act like that having previously been labelled "most boring performer", so yeah, watching Aaron was more like seeing a NIN fan in his bedroom going wild, just didnt fit into the band i felt, i understand he obviously doesnt have the touring history and amount of experience that the other guys do so maybe in a few years he will gel better, he just so looked out of place, so much younger than the other guys, also he kept playing out of key (a lot of the show seemed out of key with Trents vocals) and would put in feedback and notes in places that it seemed to muddy the sound rather than complement it - was just a little dissapointing for me, bring back Robin!!! much more professional :> i just felt some of it sounded quite sloppy compared to how ive seen them before (and also compared to shows ive seen on tv/dvd).

anyway............great setlist, a lot of Pretty Hate Machine songs, also nice to hear "the big comedown" too, oh yeah and "starfuckers" which was somewhat hollow for me this evening seeing as when i was in the que outside a security guard came along with about 10 backstage passes saying "any single girls want to meet the band after the show" so he gave them out to young looking gothy girls, note the word "single" translated as "any girls want to suck off the band after the show"........double standards??

anyway.

I am a single female and that still fucked me off. I was raging.
There were two guys at the front of that queue who had been there for hours, who because of their genetic disposition and posession of a penis, were then denied aftershow passes.

I spoke to someone about that. I was told that it was because too many guys had already been given passes and they were trying to even numbers. Hmmm, smells like bullshit? Nah, I spoke to some of the girls that went back. Loads of guy fans. No cock sucking. No Trent either.

They were a bit more liberal with the aftershow/backstage passes on the second night. North's guitar tech came out and handed them out; he didnt care if you were man, woman, hemaphrodite or transgendered. Why? Cos he's cool.

Care to back that up with some reasoning? Because in my experience audiences for gigs tend to vary by band not by nationality.

Hey Y'all,

Well Fuck Me! That was a great gig!

Without completely Echoing The Sounds (pun intended) that everyone else has already made, ive been waiting for 5 years to see NIN and i was pleasantly surprised that the 'new' band members put on an epic show! having said that i was sad at the absence of Danny L., Robin F. and Charlie C!

What a beautiful set! as has been said SICNH was epic and The Frail into The Wretched was a highlight for me! I love that Trent always seems really fired up and feeling what he's doing, and oh my, opening with Pinion into Wish, i nearly came!

I was expecting a set of mostly new stuff but i was really pleased top be proven wrong!

I thought Saul Williams was a great opener as well! That poem he blasted out was great and some of his blistering beats were pretty banging!

Looking forward to get to know some of y'all a bit better, sounded like a proper posse from here all went together? Thats awesome!

well i have seen equal amounts of gigs in both scotland and england (many times for the same bands) as well as in the states and on the continent... and english audiences are either pretty dull and lifeless or have in their number the most aggressive/violent pricks i have EVER met. NIN on monday didnt have any atmosphere until the end of Saul Williams set..but he was still amazing. Overall though it was a great gig.

I also have seen many shows in the UK and in the states and in my experience the states shows have typically had really lame audiences in comparison, but I'm not foolish enough to make wild outlandish claims

Nah, that honour goes to Americans who spend more time going to get beers/hot dogs/doughnuts/twinkies than actually watching the band.
Master Traveler
lol, perhaps. i will just apologise now about making generalisations. i have just had my worst experiences at London shows (and most ppl in london are probably not english :D )

im sure it was just that one night. the astoria and last night were beautiful - reall community feel.
Bricklayer
Well... I am back home in south africa and well... 20000km's worth of plane flights, 3 hours immigration queues... many 1000's of rands blown... ALL to go see trent reznor live was ALL WORTH IT! UN-FREAKEN-BELIEVABLE! I will never be able to watch another live act again... the only thing that would've mad it any better would be a trent signature or something to that effect!

I am still floating and its been a few days!!! I can't believe it...

I had the most insane toothache during saul williams, who I must say wasn't bad at all... its just not my cup of tea? But it was good to see he wasn't a let down to the crowd!

It took about 3 seconds of pinion for me to forget about my toothache and about 3 more seconds of wish for me to lose my bottle of water and part of my voice!

There is not much I can say... more that you people dont know already, People ask me how it was and if it was worth the money spent on my across-the-world trip... HELL YEAH, and I plan to do it again! As to how it was... there are no words... go see for yourself is all i can come up with so far!

THANK YOU TRENT REZNOR & Co.
Master Traveler
hey south african person! there seemed to be a few people from your part of the world in the audience. i ended up talking to a girl and her friend who seemed nice enough...

Oh well, back in Glasgow now ready to take on trent again for another night :D
Bricklayer
Quite possibly friends of mine, I knew 4 other south africans that resigned themselves to the fact that trent will never show his face in south africa and decided it would be necessry to pay him a visit ;)

and again... the concert was awesome... besides the guy with the spiked jacket in the mosh that cut me to ribbens with his freaken jacket... everyone else rocked! Its always great to go to a concert where the vibe is as positive as it was!
So has no-one managed to get a full setlist in order yet??

Is it a lost cause??

It was an amazing show... after saul williams i managed to mooch my way to nearly the front.... then through the songs from left of trent to the right.

By the end i was 2 people from the front :D I managed to catch a plectrum which is proudly on my shelf with my other priceless collectibles.

Great gig!!
Knight Aspirant
the woman from kerrang photographed the setlist. itll be up , erm, "soon"
Master of the Ninth Arch
hehe ash, I got my plectrum at the soundcheck!!

hey guys im a noob here,

I had an awesome gig except this one super annoying thing.

I had twiggys guitar thrown at me and i caught it and clung on for dear life only to be punched repeatedly by a guard till i gave it to him.

why did this happen why wasnt i allowwed it fair and square?

its upsetting what do you think?

J

Bricklayer
i cant actually remember ever seeing him throw it in the crowd, but if i had seen it and you had got it, trust me you wouldn't of had it for long :)
i spent almost the entire thing watching him,
i was like three from the front

that gig was fucking amazing
after seeing them at the astoria i assumed it wouldn't be to long, i almost had to leave at one point but then head like a hole came on i waited before having to leg it to the train station
i loved the fact that they played a lot from broken and fragile, two of my current favourites

Saul Williams was pretty damn good as well, i really was suprised by the reception he got

WTF?
I also saw how Jeordie threw his guitar into the crowd.
So NO ONE actually has it now?
The security people just forced you to hand it over?
This is such crap :o
Knight Aspirant
the security at brixton academy are such dicks
Wow, back from London.

Sure Jeordie threw his guitar into the audience (very gently) after the last song. I got hold of it for a while too. We were like 10 people pulling, I got hold of the strings. All I got was scars. :)

The security guys eventually took it because nobody could claim it was theirs and put it back on the stage floor. It's all been captured on a small video clip I have (number 971):

More so, when Trent jumped into the crowd is there. Plus some more. Enjoy.

Thanks for the videos and pictures, they're great! Serious fight on number 971

And there is evidence on that very same clip that Trent actually said "Thank you". Longest and only speech of the night?
Bricklayer
Here's my account of the setlist:

1. Wish
2. Sin
3. The Line Begins To Blur
4. March Of The Pigs
5. Something I Can Never Have
6. The Hand That Feeds
7. With Teeth
8. Terrible Lie
9. Burn
10. Closer
11. Home
12. The Frail
13. The Wretched
14. The Big Comedown
15. Love Is Not Enough
16. Suck
17. Piggy
18. Gave Up
19. Dead Souls
20. Hurt

But that was the point where our small group had to leave the gig. Were there any more songs after Hurt? Also, did anyone manage to film or record audio of the gig?
Master ad Vitam
21. Gave up
22. Starfuckers Inc.
23. Head Like a Hole.
what time did the brixton gig finish, asI'm going on the 13th, a rough idea would be great

Around 11-ish.

One of the only good pictures I took from the night...

I took a few videos, but the quality is shite. I recorded the first bridge/chorus of hurt where just about everyone was singing. Click here.

Hi, new here, and don't have a lot to add since I'm somewhat late discovering this place... But just thought I'd add my comments that this was an amazing gig. Okay, so I was a NIN-live virgin, and didn't have much to compare it against, but still, fantastic all the same. My only regret is that I wasn't ten years younger. Not so that I can feel more teenage angst (I got it saved up in a bottle, and get some out when I need it), but so that I can have more energy. I'm only 27, but up close, near the front, I nearly died. But I guess that's what comes from giving blood the week before the concert. (Kids - don't try that at home!) Still, well worth it.

What I really want to do, though, is find the girl with the hair fetsih who stroked my beard just before the start of the show... That little bit of oddness made my night. :-)

Alright, sorry for taking so long... first of all the DVD took forever in transit, and second of all, I've been busy (and still am) with college at the moment. Right now I'm uploading it to someone's ftp server who said he will help to distribute it, however I'm only on ADSL so this could take a while... plus I've got very limited hd space at the moment, so I'll have to do it in chunks.

To give a little information about the DVD... no it's not professionally shot footage. It's shot from what seems to be a normal, home-quality camcorder. The quality of the actual images themselves seem worse than those of Absinthex's, however this is shot from the left side of the balcony, so the shot is relatively steady throughout the set. The first part of Hurt is missing apparently due to the taper changing tapes in between. All in all I think the recording is pretty good.

Thanks SO much if you could do that.

ok I was being stupid... there's loads of seeds now. I shall shut up. :)
Couldn't go to see Trent and co at my home venue (Glasgow Barrowland) as I was due to fly to Chicago that day, so flew down from Aberdeen to London for this gig. My first time at the legendary Brixton Academy and, more importantly, my first ever NIN gig! I have seen some great bands - Sonic Youth, Pixies, Pavement, Smashing Pumpkins, My Bloody Valentine - live but this was without doubt my best gig ever! Great crowd, great venue, great band! Thanks Trent!
