The most incredible performance I've ever witnessed. It was beyond amazing, words don't even begin to do it justice.

Okay, first off, The Moving Units weren't that bad. Their music isn't anything I'd buy, but they were tolerable, and they got a semi-descent response from the crowd.

Oh, and to all the fucks who tried to jump the rail onto the floor, you're all fucking retarded, and it was beyond hilarious that almost all of you got thrown out.

I was literally shaking when the intro tape started. I've been waiting since '94 to see NIN live, and to see Trent, who I pretty much idolize, standing there on stage was incredible. They had so much intensity in their performance, and the production values were incredible, with the lights reflecting on the stalagtite constructions, and the great videos that were shown in the middle of the set.

The Eraser video was quite good, with the swarming and violence shown, and they did a pretty cool thing in BYIT where Trent swang his mic stand at the screen and a breaking glass effect came on the screen.

The did a more rocked-out version of Closer, and Trent did Hurt mostly by himself. His mic fucked up through the first verse of SICNH, and it was quite funny to watch him toss it at his roadies to fix.

I will admit I got a bit choked up during BYIT and Hurt. To hear the whole audience sing along with the chorus was absolutely beautiful.

All in all, a trenmendous performance, worth all the years of waiting, and something I won't soon forget.

Moline is part of the Quad Cities, right on the border of Iowa. you pretty much are almost in iowa at the mark, its right on the river.

This was an awesome show. I was at the show last night in milwaukee and that was a great show too, but wasnt as good as madison '05, or '00. Tonights show was definitely on par with the 2 madison shows i've been to, and im glad to see the setlist change quite a bit between dates. I got to see Mr self destruct and reptile last night, and love is not enough, beside you in time and right where it belongs tonight... lots of good stuff goin on.

I was pretty much up front and center the whole time until the last 3 songs when i decided to go back a little ways.

My neck and back hurt SO very badly from 2 nin concerts in a row... i cant wait to go to bed.

The show was amazing. Although it was very nice to see more background added (from when I first saw them in May), it's too bad the setlist is always the same. Though, I assume those are made for people who maybe only get to see NIN once a tour, and don't see em multiple times. I really enjoyed the video screen they had. Seeing Bush compared to monkeys was beyond great. Overall, I thought it was a very solid and complete show. If any of the pictures I took turned out, I'll post some tomorrow.

This was my first NIN concert and it was everything I had hoped for. Amazing performance.

I was wondering about the beginning of SICNH... at the time, I wasn't sure if it was a glitch or just something designed into the performace. Glad to see somebody else was paying attention.

I'm curious to hear anyone's thoughts on how "rehearsed" were Trent's comments on the music industry. Certainly agree with him, in any case.

Moving Units put on a decent enough performance, although their music doesn't suit my taste. I thought the lead singer looked pretty much dead on stage, and then at the end he made a comment about being sick, which might explain a lot.

Seether in Des Moines on Saturday night + NIN in Moline on Sunday night = one amazing weekend.

This my 5th time seeing NIN since their club tour last year, and this was by far the best. With Teeth and The Big Comedown sound amazing live, with the bass being so deep and loud. I was disapointed that Mr. Self Destruct and Please weren't included.

Was my first NIN show, took me about 6 years to finally see them live. I was very pleased. =]

Didn't they play March of the Pigs too??

this was my third show in as many days...wow....

the band was amazing tonight, the crowd was into it, but not stupid about it (save for the corwd surfers...but after the same fucker went over my head TWICE I made sure I got him the third time around). When aaron jumped into the crowd he landed on me, as well as about 15 other people it seemed. It was one hell of a show to be sure, my favorite out of the three, and I'll be looking forward to hearing/seeing recordings of these shows.

What the hell are you talking about? This setlist was very different from last night and the night before.

This show, besides the fact that Mr Self Destruct, Reptile, Please and Starfuckers weren't played, was the best one. I had the perfect spot: dead center, about 20 feet back from the stage. It was amazing.

Plus, NO SIN! It was so nice not to hear it tonight. Now, if they'd just give Terrible Lie a break, too, that would be phenomenal.

Getting Smaller was a nice treat, as was YKWYA.

Tonight's Closer was definitely the best I've EVER heard. It was more heavy than normal and Trent climbing up behind Josh was awesome. Plus, at the end, Aaron went INSANE. His guitar was thicker, heavier and louder than I've ever heard it before.

The Big Comedown was incredible, as was With Teeth and pretty much the entire rest of the show.

Aaron diving into the crowd at the end of HLAH was awesome, too.

Man, what a fantastic night. I can't wait to see what they do in Green Bay. I just hope we finally get Sunspots there and they bring back Mr. Self Destruct and Please for that show.

Oh, and it was great to have Pinion open again. It was sadly missed last night.

Yeah I suppose. So maybe they added about 6 different songs from when I first saw them in May. The setlist always seems so predictable, as far as the format goes. By all means I wasn't really complaining. I think it just matters which two nights you see them on, and how different they are.

True...there were a number of similarities between tonight and Friday, for sure, but between tonight and last night...man, vastly different (apart from the staples which, I really think could be given a break now).

But yeah...great show and I'm so happy to see them switching it up more.

I always thought it was bullshit that Trent said because of the lighting and everything it was too hard to change the setlist much. It seems like what I thought all along is the case: the songs are self contained, in regards to the LCDs and lights...so, as long as the lighting guy knows what's coming when, they should be able to play any song at any time and be fine.

Yes, March of the Pigs was played as usual. Otherwise I think the previously posted set list is accurate. To my surprise, Sin was NOT played, nor was Suck. But we got a few surprises in return (Big Comedown, Getting Smaller, With Teeth).

First off, something was incredibly fucked up with the spiral seating. I think they thought the first 10 rows were not going to be there, so they started selling tickets at row 11. But they must've sold so few tickets that they pulled out the first 10 rows (narrowing the floor space), so they were all vacant. And also a result of low ticket sales I'm guessing, the stage was REALLY far forward on the floor. We were sitting parallel with Freese the whole show. It was a great view of Josh, Aaron, and Trent. And who gives a shit about Jeordie and Alessandro anyway, they never do shit for acrobatics. I would've been pissed if I was on the other side though. I also thought I wouldn't have a chance in hell of seeing the screen when they dropped it, but it turned out we could see it from behind, through the side screen of the stage. And my final worry was that the sound would be horrible, since we were behind the PA, but alas, the NIN crew lives up to its reputation, there were a few speakers pointed our direction, so all was good.

Moving Units is a good band. But like all the bands I've seen open for Nails, they sounded like ass. It's not that their music sucks that bad (not that it's awesome), or that they're bad musicians, I think the soundman is the big problem with all these openers. Is it just customary to make them sound shitty? So that Nails will blow us away? Or maybe Nails is just that much better. I dunno, but after 25 minutes, everyone wanted them off the stage, understandably.

They came out to Pinion and opened with Love is Not Enough, and I dreaded I was about to see the exact same thing I saw at the two shows where Carapetas was substituting, but thank god there were some changes.

SICNH seemed all fucked up. To start, Trent's mic didn't work for the first verse, so he finally came in at the chorus. It also just sounded bad. The timing seemed off, but maybe it was just where I was sitting.

Everybody wasted their lighters on SICNH, so no one but me broke one out for The Frail which immediately followed. Dumbasses. The crowd was ok to poor at this show, depending on the point in the show. Very small pit. But the band had some fuck-ups too, so it wasn't all the crowd's fault. The crowd shouldn't be expected to be awesome if the band is making mistakes.

During the first verse of Closer, Trent stood on a platform above Josh's head. I thought there would be more to this, but he came down after the first verse. *shrug*

Burn was awesome, as usual.

Eraser is DEFINITELY the high point of the show in my opinion. That song is awesome in studio, and 10 times better live. The video meshes so well with the music, and the video/song has a very poignant and powerful message. I could watch that song performed 100 times before I would ever get tired of it. I guess I have to say I'm also just a fan of instrumentals (La Mer, Just Like you Imagined, Complication), of which there are really none in this show. But Eraser would be the closest thing to it.

Big Come Down and Getting Smaller were nice surprises.

EDIETS has a very weak backdrop and light show. It's a panoramic view of a desert with a blue sky that keeps panning around. Pretty lame. Maybe that's the idea, given the title of the song? But I thought there would be more to it, some quirky ending, but alas, it was just a pretty backdrop.

Trent was chatty for a few minutes. He began by saying something like, "We've been off for awhile, so it takes us a few shows to get all on the same page again." Then he discussed how stupid the record industry is right now. Ended by saying something like, "Sometimes it's hard to remember why I'm in this business, but it comes back to me playing in front of crowd like this." That got the crowd going pretty good. I'm glad Trent is not so detached these days.

What rocked? Burn.... March of the Pigs.... Love is Not Enough... Terrible Lie.... Frail/Wretched.... Closer (especially Only Time breakdown).... ERASER!!!.... With Teeth.... Aaron flew into the crowd at the end, guitar and all. That was pretty crazy!

What would I trade for different songs? Gave Up... Wish... Right Where it Belongs (Trent gets too political with this for my taste, you're just a singer in a rock and roll band dude)... Only (great on record, shitty live).... The Hand That Feeds (great song, but I'd still trade it).... Head Like a Hole (everyone has heard this before)

As Nails shows go, this one was mediocre. It had a lot of early show fuck-ups (Aaron broke a string, Josh dropped a stick once, Trent had multiple mic problems throughout the night). The crowd got amped at times, but it wasn't ever really riotous. Everyone kind of stayed in their little area of the stage (except for Trent). I dunno, if you were at St. Paul last time around you'd be disappointed by just about anything short of total annihilation I suppose.

This review is pretty critical. I'm a musician, so I'm a bastard like that. I want to end by saying that even though I'm pointing out all the bad things, this show was still way better than any other band I've ever seen. I doubt I'll ever see anyone put on a show to rival Nails. I've got two more shows ahead of me. Can't wait!

I couldn't tell if something was wrong with the mic for SICNH; it just seemed like Reznor didn't feel like singing it until the first chorus. I couldn't see shit during the beginning of that, though, so if you guys say so...

Moving Units were a lot better last night than the two previous nights. They didn't look as terrified. They looked more... I dunno... comfortable, professional, provided more "performance." The lead singer wasn't wearing that jr. high jacket. Their sound was loads better than Saturday. I still like them.

Moline is truly in the middle of nowhere. The venue made us sit down on the main floor until just before Moving Units' set. Weird. When we stood up, my friend and I ended up about 2nd/3rd row slightly left of center. By the time NIN hit the stage, we were squashed over in front of Jeordie, which was much better - a lot less squishing over there. It was all a lot of fun, hardly any dickheads, mostly nice people. Except when you're up front you get those damned crowd-surfers sticking boots in your head. The venue's staff was very nice, very well-organized.

GETTING SMALLER, yes!! That song is GREAT live!

First time I've seen that platform (during Closer). Very cool idea. It's in the back, so he doesn't look like Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick.

Also nice to see the return of the white button-down shirt, Mr. Reznor.

This is the second show I've seen for Nails (Chicago, Oct 05), and I was surprised with how intimate it was. I could see everything on stage and that was great.

The setlist was signifigantly different from the Chi-town show. They played a TON of the new stuff, where in Chi-town, they stuck mostly to the garunteed songs which were older.

The crowd really disappointed me the first half of the show. Half of my section (107) was actually sitting down! What a waste. Finally, it started picking up in crowd response and I didn't feel like I was dancing on dead people. I even got the fiance to dance crazy, which is amazing.

Awesome songs were: Eraser, Closer (love the little interruption, the crowd just exploded!), Head like a hole, ONLY (That song is fucking fantastic), and more. I was disappointed with The Wretched, one of my favorite songs because it was very muted sounding and could have used some more treble to bring out the great bass sound. You couldn't really slam to that song like deserves.

Skipped the opening act. I would have been super early for Saul Williams, if he played though. (Saul is a cool guy, saw him in Seattle.)

Finally, I must say I felt like I was in a class reunion last night. I went to West in D-port and I saw dozens of people I went to school with. Also ran into at least 10 of my fiance's friends. That was a cute sense of comraderie.

Yay for nails!

PS: I loved it that Aaron jumped into the crowd, and that Trent talked with the crowd and thanked them. Didn't get that personal touch in chi-town.

Incredible show! For an opening act, the Moving Units had good songs and I enjoyed them except for the lighting mistake that left a spotlight shining in my whole section's eyes for during their act.

I also think March of the Pigs was left off the setlist at the top too. My favorite song was Burn, but that song has always been one of my favorites. Hurt was definitely worth going to the concert for because its a great experience listening to Trent sing it live and the whole crowd sing it with him. I was impressed with the amount of energy dispensed by NIN, I guess that's the benefit to being the 2nd show after a break. And of course, as always, Trent sounded and looked great.

Now I'm thinking I need to see the Des Moines show too...

March of the Pigs was definitely played. I believe it was 4th (Love Is Not Enough, Know What You Are, Terrible Lie, March, Line Begins to Blur, SICNH).

The crowd was a lot more tame than Milwaukee, which is a VERY good thing.

The venue was a million times better than Milwaukee. The arena was not cut down in size due to low ticket sales, as someone theorized above. Its called the theater at the Mark, and it is left to the artist's discretion as to how much of the arena they want to use. It was a perfect setup, felt like a well-designed theater. The stage was higher than Milwaukee, so even standing at the back of the floor we could see clearly.

The setlist was a lot better in Moline as well. Bog Comedown was incredible, and they played every song from With Teeth that theyve played live, other than The Collector, which was played the night before.

Very happy to see such drastic changes from night to night in the setlist. This should be a very interesting tour.

Anyways, whoever was bitching about the Spiral tickets...

I am also a Spiral member, and I bought my tix through the pre-sale right when they went on sale and we had really great seats in the 4th row... which is really the 2nd row, because there isn't a row 1 or 2. We were at the front corner of stage left (josh's side).. the ONLY downfall to is was that we couldn't see Josh cause of the short speaker stack... but at least on Friday night I had center stage about 10 rows back, so we could see the whole stage then.

My point is... there was nothing wrong with that aspect of the Spiral pre-sale.

What was wrong.. and Brandi attempted to correct... many people in my section (113) couldn't see much of the band at all cause they were directly to the side of the stage. Now that's a serious problem, and I hope those people ended up being compensated in some fashion. It seemed like some of them got moved around, but not all of them.

Hahahah yeah, i text messaged my girlfriend about the HornyDevil... She had a hole torn in the side of her fishnets.

I have a ton of pictures to post later tonight, i also have video of the last half of beside you in time, and trents speech... unfortunaltey my little canon powershot isnt meant to record video and theres no way you can adjust the input level, so the sound is all distorted...but the video quality is pretty good.

I had a blast at this show. Although I regularly have been getting GA tix to shows and getting up semi-close, I have NEVER been on the rail (as in center stage, in the shit)... except last night! And it was awesome.

I had NO IDEA what the "crush" was like until I was actually there. The moment of mini-panic was quickly eclipsed by my realization that "holy shit am I close!" to the stage. I brought a friend from work with me, and he was instructed by me to make sure that I didn't die. I hung onto his arm at various points when the push went sideways and I had NO balance whatsoever, nor did I have anyplace to put my feet.

I felt really bad because I was totally pressed into the girl in front of me (I know we met in line at the Madison show, too - Sugarplum and I were in front of you in line that day) - I think her name was Gina - and I tried to apologize like "I swear I'm really NOT trying to cop a feel here..." but I think the rail regulars are used to this pushing? I hope so! And there was a girl behind me who was totally nice and friendly too - thankfully! I can't imagine a shirtless sweaty dude dry-humping me (well, I guess that's technically NOT "dry-" humping if he's all sweaty...) from behind all night during the show.

A funny sidenote is that our security/barricade guy decided to take a liking to me, which I normally would have never put up with (he was kind of a pig with some of his comments) but being friendly to him did result in three things: he took my purse & sweatshirt over the barricade so I didn't have to hold onto it, he gave me a guitar pick from Jeordie, and he handed me a cup of water in the middle of the show... sweet.

It was one of my only shows without Sugarplum to hang with, so I delighted in calling her to relay the story of my concert "boyfriend" (there's one at every show, isn't there! ) - but don't worry I took a picture of him to send ya!

p.s. "Sin" is my all-time favorite NIN song, so maybe I was in the minority here, but I definitely missed not hearing it again!

I'd love to see Aaron's jump/karate kick near the end of HLAH, right before he jumped into the crowd. What a great shot. Me and my buddy just started laughing when he did that. What an animal on stage!

this was the 3rd time i have seen nin over the past 10 months..and by far this was the most intense. no reptile and mr selfdestruct but by far amazing. to be honest i think josh fits really well in the band. the best part was where trent just talked to all of us for a few minutes..we are the reason he still plays. it makes me as a fan to feel like i have a purpose. like because of us..all of us..trent continues to make music and go on tour. in its basic sense the show last night was the most amazing thing my eyes have ever seen.

Yea, I brought my friend Dan with me again last night and he played defensive tackle behind me all night. And I was buggering a guy in front of me with the front of my tied-up sweatshirt for a long time. Being squished like that is very... er... intimate, heh heh. Jeordie threw water at us and I shielded myself behind a girl who was in front of me, then I used the hood from her sweatshirt to wipe water off of my face. It's all very communal down there on the floor, swapping sweat and committing frottage on each other, it's a giant erotic spa in Hell.

I believe I was a few over from Artgirl. Right in front of jeordie, spectacular! Poped my rail cherry AND poped my husbands NIN and rail's! It was awesome. Beavette, you had to have been close to me to cause I believe I was only 2-3 ppl down from artgirl. I thought the small girl one guy over from me was gonna get totally smashed!
I enjoyed chattin in line with those of you in here, Artgirl (I believe it was you I was behind in line, you had to check your camera?), , I'm not sure of other SNs. As far as horny devil, She is a very sweet woman, I sat with by her and her friend most the day. I'm just envious I can't wear that and get away with it like her!

For all of you naysaying the crowd at this show...I thought it was great, and challenging at times. I was smashed on the rail from 3 directions so hard for the majority of the show that I feared my clavicles would snap. The center of the rail was bowing slightly forward at times. As short as I am at one point I think I looked like just a head sticking through someone's shoulder on the right and an elbow on the left of my neck. Woo! Thank you to the shorter girl on my ass all night (dead center) who came up to talk to me afterwards, you were wonderful! I think the crowd was active yet reasonable. The security guy in the center was awesome and plucked 4 surfers, rapid-fire style over my head during "Only" alone...not to mention the rest of the night. Not a scratch! Sore muscles though! It was great to see Aaron sail over my head with his guitar. I think he liked my "Colonel Angus" gesture to him earlier.

I swear I could hear a bit of Down In It in part of one of the songs last night. I might have just been hearing things, it was a kick ass show anyway.

Hmm... you've got the right spot in the crowd (by Jeordie), but I was almost LAST in line for the Spiral people as far as during the day goes - I didn't have to check my camera (as far as putting it away? ...oh, or do you mean "check" as in forgot it was in my purse and made the security guy give me my purse again so I could grab it? because I did do that!)... if it helps, I had on the red & black corset. I DID take some photos, but I won't have them until later tonight - I hope they came out well, because the view sure was great!

Beavette - great description of the mash of people in GA - I was popping my "rail cherry" too, Prciousangels!- but technically I wasn't on the rail, I was one back... oh well, guess I'll just have to go do it over again and this time GET the rail! I was so nervous though about what it would be like, but now I'm hooked!

I used this new strategy on the floor the last few nights with a lot of success:

When some giant guy squeezed his way in front of me, and I couldn't see anymore, and then he repeatedly inflicted pain by jamming his elbows into me, instead of my yelling "HEY! FUCKHEAD!", I gently tapped the culprit on the back or shoulder and said, in my sweetest honey voice... "I'm short and I can't see, is it okay if I get in front of you?" and they said "okay!" and then they not only let me in front of them, they were nice to me the rest of the night and didn't beat the shit out of me with their elbows and even became somewhat PROTECTIVE of me and made sure I didn't get slammed too much and we danced and jumped and dry humped and sweat and sang loudly and it was all good.

The response to "Getting Smaller" over in my area was fantastic; I started pogo'ing and then a bunch of other people did, too, and we were singing along really loudly... a guy behind me was so cute, smiling the whole time, like seeing Getting Smaller live, for him, was akin to winning the Lotto - he was having an out-of-body joy experience.

Why were people crowd-surfing during RWIB?? Jeezopete.

yeah man, never use flash when you are taking stuff that isnt closer than 10 ft away from you, because that's all it's really meant for. There is especially no need when you have as much light as NIN did. Hell, a few of mine came out and I was in the seats. They were very far away, but you can see the entire set up. Anyway, hope this tip helps you in the future. (when there is plenty of light, no need for flash).

I used a small canon powershot SD400 ... set exposure compensation to -2 and iso to 200 so it was a tad grainy, but it made for a faster shutter speed, so they werent as blurry.

Show was amazing, only complaint was how tucked away and low Josh seemed, coulda just been my spot on the floor but i had to struggle to catch a glimpse. malechite, could you post more pics of Aaron and Jeordie if you have them?

I attended the first three shows and Moline was the best. Champaign was awesome, the boys had tons of energy but the crowd was lame.

Had prime spot on barricade in front of the rez. It really sucks that none of my photos came out. It is either my stupidity or my camera sucks. I always have barricade so I should figure that out. The set list was amazing. I wont complain about the songs I have heard dozens of times because there are casual fans who really get off on closer and hurt.


Fucking crowd surfers. Completely inconsiderate fucks. I clocked a few really good this time.


Josh freese has made such a difference. Maybe it is confidence? In any case he kills. I managed to make him chuckle a few times during El Rizzo's little speech. I made friends with one of the security dudes which is always advantagous. He passed us water and ice throughout the show and attemted to avoid pulling surfers over my head. He also made sure a left with a pic. Thats right, one of the Rez's own pics. We have good Karma now.

So throw away all of your old and exclusive U2 cd's made on the once exclusive industrial-obscure flag waving 4AD records. Move over Gang Of Four, this is the real shit here!

I pretty much believe your setlist is correct, except March Of The Pigs DID come after Terrible Lie. And it was the greatest performance of March Of The Pigs I have EVER SEEN!

The show was fucking amazing!!! Real high energy. Aaron North is fucking crazy. Aaron must be on upper drugs or something, seriously. He runs all around the stage, falls into the drums, hangs upside down on the amps to play behind them. He is fucking awesome, fuck Robin Finck. I was sort of "iffy" about this show because I hadnt seen Nails since 2000, but after the show I thought maybe there was a big reason Trent changed personnell. Josh's drums were FUCKING PERFECT. He was right on, everytime, and he hit hard and is a very aggressive drummer, not much of one for crown interaction though. It does not matter though since he is such a good drummer, and since he played I think Head Like A Hole finally sounds "right" live now. Also with Josh, I thought his drumming improved the sound of "The Wretched", and he is just way better than Jerome in my opinion. Alessandro had a great backup voice, and was apparently good at his keyboards, and they had some "electronic-tweaking" equipment back there that he played. It was cool, because some songs started out with this strange electronic tweaking and I found myself a couple of times wondering "What in the hell song are they starting?". Noticable songs where I wondered that included Love Is Not Enough (With far more keyboard effects live than on the album), The Line Begins To Blur (I swore they were starting Reptile at the start), Beside You In Time (I almost thought they were actually starting A Warm Place), and Burn (which sounded kind of funkier live). During a few songs, notably "Getting Smaller", Alessandro joined the band on gutiar after setting his keyboards on automatic or something. NIN with four guitarists is definitely badass. Alessandro would come down and play. Although he was not nearly as energetic as Aaron, he seemed to be having a great time. Trent was running around a little, and jumping, and playing guitar a lot. During Hurt it was only Trent playing and singing, only on keybord. His voice sounded great for the most part (speaking of voice I already mentioned Alessandro, Jeordie and Aaron are great backup vocalists and they sound like hardcore punk singers). During "Closer" Trent sang on top of a glass panel over Josh (I think he was trying to look sexy or marketable). At one point Trent bitched to the crowd about the record industry, and then he said "You probably just want to hear music". Trent also said that "We have been working on a new album" (As we all know this statement is subject to verifcation. Escpecially on the "we" part. Also whenever we may see this album is, you know...). The only new person I really had an issue with is Jeordie. He did not seem to really do much, except stand there and play. He occasionally got the crowd to clap along to certain things. Jeordie did play piano quite nicely on "Something I Can Never Have". At one point he appeared to be talking to a roadie too long, when chaning guitars in the middle of a song. Overall I think the new band is far superior to the old one, with the exception of Jeordie. Danny Lohner should have his old job back I think.
The light show was fucking amazing! It made the Fragile's light show look like a pile of shit, serioiusly. They could do just a few minor things to make it slightly better I think, but overall A fucking plus on the light show. The movies during the middle of the show were great (My favorite was the Right Where It Belongs movie). The Eraser movie was crazy as hell. I could go into it further, my friend made a comment, "How I wish I was high on acid right now". The Eraser movie was an attempt at a politocal statement I think, but then again so was the RWIB movie. The lights during March of the Pigs made the performance of it look like an action comic book, I have no other way to describe it. Trent's final scream on March Of the Pigs was fucking awesome. The white light was drowning out everything in the mark except for Trent screaming during MOTP, and his final scream was fucking loud and awesome.
I was a little bit disappointed that only three songs from Fragile were played. They played Big Come Down, which is not one of my Fragile favorites personally, but it sounded in top form live. Another song that I have been tired of hearing about NIN play live was Gave Up. Once again this new band impressed me with their performance of Gave Up and that song was in top form (and the lights were blinding for that one, but in an awesome way). Closer had more real drums this time around, and they did do that Only Time interlude thing with it. Also on the topic of more "real" music, Only seemed to have cut out the keyboard solo (where Trent talks about it not mattering anymore...). Terrible Lie had more of a rock flavor also, as did Everyday Is Exactly The Same. At the same time, Hand That Feeds, Burn, and Love Is Not Enough (among a few others Im forgetting) had more of a keyboard flavor than I expected.
The last thing I can think of to point out is the fact that I was bored with the title track to With Teeth. When this band played that song live, it really fleshed it out, and it was actually my favorite song of the night. Aaron's solo on this was truly amazing. The performance of the song was so good, I went home after the show immediately to further investigate that particular song on the album which I previously skipped over alot, I am ashamed to admit.
This was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. I only wish I would have got a ticket on the floor and had more money for even more merchandise. I bought the shirt with the tour dates on it, 2 hotdogs, and for a second I was considering buying the Moving Units cd before the show for ten dollars. I am glad I did not buy their cd, because I thought they sucked for the most part. Good musicians in that band, horrible singer. One song was okay.. by them.
Here is what needs to happen. Keep this band with its lineup right now (minus Jeordie). Bring back in Lohner. Put these geniuses in the studio together, have them make crazy music. Make Aaron the executive producer. And have them go out on the road forever and play everywhere, even in smaller towns than Moline. This is simply the greatest band ever. Oh and start playing Pefect Drug, and The Way Out Is Through. Bonus for The Downward Spiral title track or The New Flesh. Say you will at least think about playing A Warm Place.

the moline show was by far the best show i have ever seen. when they sang head like a hole their last song and the audience all singing it. making the whole theatre shake, it was amazing. I wouldn't trade that night for anything.

Well if it helps, I was right on the rail, to my right was a guy with a black berret and black thick rimmed glasses, to my left was some short guy in a hoodie who kept yellin jordie's name the whole time, behind me was my 6'3" tall husband (one of the jerks we all hate for blocking our view, sry I contributed this time) and I had on a black club tour shirt with my hair up in a half ponytail. Artgirl was 2-3ppl to my right but 1 behind. You very well could have been by me but after we stood up I have no clue who I was around!

hi, this was my first NIN concert, the one before was a Tori Amos concert in chicago and the day before that i saw ani difranco ( i hated it) and a few years before that i saw the follow the leader korn concert with papa roach. this has been the best show i have ever been to in my life. i plan on going again to the next tour and can't wait. i know he takes forever to write an album but i'm only 22 so i will survive lol. anyway, i'm being a silly girl so imma go now. i wish i could marry trent.... i've crushed on him since i was in jr high.... <3

They could do just a few minor things to make it slightly better I think, but overall A fucking plus on the light show. The movies during the middle of the show were great (My favorite was the Right Where It Belongs movie). The Eraser movie was crazy as hell. I could go into it further, my friend made a comment, "How I wish I was high on acid right now". The Eraser movie was an attempt at a politocal statement I think, but then again so was the RWIB movie. The lights during March of the Pigs made the performance of it look like an action comic book, I have no other way to describe it. Trent's final scream on March Of the Pigs was fucking awesome. The white light was drowning out everything in the mark except for Trent screaming during MOTP, and his final scream was fucking loud and awesome.
I was a little bit disappointed that only three songs from Fragile were played. They played Big Come Down, which is not one of my Fragile favorites personally, but it sounded in top form live. Another song that I have been tired of hearing about NIN play live was Gave Up. Once again this new band impressed me with their performance of Gave Up and that song was in top form (and the lights were blinding for that one, but in an awesome way). Closer had more real drums this time around, and they did do that Only Time interlude thing with it. Also on the topic of more "real" music, Only seemed to have cut out the keyboard solo (where Trent talks about it not mattering anymore...). Terrible Lie had more of a rock flavor also, as did Everyday Is Exactly The Same. At the same time, Hand That Feeds, Burn, and Love Is Not Enough (among a few others Im forgetting) had more of a keyboard flavor than I expected.
The last thing I can think of to point out is the fact that I was bored with the title track to With Teeth. When this band played that song live, it really fleshed it out, and it was actually my favorite song of the night. Aaron's solo on this was truly amazing. The performance of the song was so good, I went home after the show immediately to further investigate that particular song on the album which I previously skipped over alot, I am ashamed to admit.
This was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. I only wish I would have got a ticket on the floor and had more money for even more merchandise. I bought the shirt with the tour dates on it, 2 hotdogs, and for a second I was considering buying the Moving Units cd before the show for ten dollars. I am glad I did not buy their cd, because I thought they sucked for the most part. Good musicians in that band, horrible singer. One song was okay.. by them.
Here is what needs to happen. Keep this band with its lineup right now (minus Jeordie). Bring back in Lohner. Put these geniuses in the studio together, have them make crazy music. Make Aaron the executive producer. And have them go out on the road forever and play everywhere, even in smaller towns than Moline. This is simply the greatest band ever. Oh and start playing Pefect Drug, and The Way Out Is Through. Bonus for The Downward Spiral title track or The New Flesh. Say you will at least think about playing A Warm Place.

I'm not a big fan of the new album (With Teeth), but I went to this show and it was AWESOME!! I've been waiting to see NIN for years and years, and finally this was the opportunity. We had great seats with a really close, clear view of the band. Though it did seem like the new guitar player could have spent more time actually playing his guitar instead of thrashing around, but it did not detract from the ROCKING. Nine Inch Nails: Still going strong! WOO!
