I have to say that Saul Williams was awesome, I really enjoyed it and he seemed to be having a good time.

NIN was amazing. I can't believe that I have been a fan for over a decade and this was my first show, but it was worth the wait I guess. Everyone seemed really into it, even Alessandro and Jerodie. I really enjoyed the visuals during Eraser and Right Where it Belongs. Josh kicked ass, and I was glad I got to see one of the drummers I really look up to (I'm a drummer myself). All in all a great show, best I've seen here for sure.

I'm tired and have a meeting in 8 hours so I am off to bed.

I'm pretty sure that setlist is about right. It felt like the set was a bit more heavy with With Teeth material as opposed to anything else--I'm glad to see they're experimenting around with different openers, and that the setlists aren't too repetitive (from what little I've been able to research on past shows).

The staff at Alltel is pretty paranoid about troublemakers and especially moshing, which is why the security was so tough. I'm inclined to think that this is why acts like NIN have stayed away from this state in the past (aside from the fact that it's obviously a smaller market). They don't just warn you or anything if they catch you--they just kick you out.

All the same, the show had a great energy and positive feel. I was worried about the reception Saul Williams would get--Little Rock is a big metal town, and it seemed like a lot of people were there at the show for some hard-and-fast music, not specifically to see NIN. Saul commanded the crowd really well and pulled off an excellent show, and I think the crowd responded to it. All the same, he's the opener, so it's to be expected somewhat.

The only downshot to Saul Williams' set is that it felt a bit short.

Everything about this show was tight and well done. Hopefully this'll make NIN want to come back around the next time.

Been a fan for over ten years and this was my first NIN show. They really put alot of thoughts into their shows. visuals were amazing. Big pop for the Bush shot, which I expected having read the tour journal. No "Reptile"? But that's okay. I put off buying my ticket for far too long and got stuck in the seats. As soon as NIN started and it got dark, I bolted for the "floor guards". I walked up to him like I was going to show him my ticket and just bolted. I ran RIGHT INTO THE BACK of one of the security guards in white. They just made me go back into the stands though. I was pretty close, but you can always be closer. All in all, one of the best performances I've ever seen.

Yeah, I thought the signs everywhere about "please refrain from moshing/crowd surfing" were a little riddiculous.

But even more pathetic was how empty the back section of area was.

I felt the crowd was good, for the size it was. And man, was that show LOUD. It was awesome. My ears are still ringing a little.

Apparently you guys where not up near the front. I was on the rail in front of Aaron and there was a guy literally punching small girls in the face for no reason. That is why security at Alltel is like that, because of people like him. Its the same everywhere else. To think thats the reason NIN hasnt been to Little Rock in forever is retarded. As far as there not being a lot of people, more people showed up then I thought would come out. Its a small market tour.....hince the smaller crowds. Quit your bitching and be glad you got a damn show.

The show was great. I got spit on and hit by shit thrown by Aaron all night. Trent didnt say anything to the crowd except for a few "Thank you's." Josh was amazing on the drums. Dont know if anyone else saw but towards the end they had the stage set up for Aaron to jump into the crowd after HLAH but he looked down and said "fuck it" and walked off stage. Trent also managed to mess up the lyrics to 2 songs, I forget which ones but they all laughed it off and kept going. Aaron was also having some guitar problems, and he was getting pissed at his tech. Saul was impressive. I had heard bad things, but he really kicked ass.

I really like Aaron North, he is very entertaining but maybe he should take some money and buy a new amp, patch cords or fire his tech if he is that shitty and get a new one.

I'll post a more lengthy review of the show, but last night's setlist, by far, one of the best NIN shows I've seen. There were less than fifty members in the Spyrow line so we ended up on the rail, smack dab between Aaron and Trent.

Actually, that's EXACTLY where I was--I stuck around there for about the first half hour of the NIN set and hung out in the concourse for the rest of the show (the floor just wasn't my kind of energy). I didn't see the guy you were talking about but, yeah, people were being really rough toward the front. The crowd surfing and moshing didn't stop, it just got pushed towards the front of the floor.

I'm pretty sure the arena undersold the floor. It was kind of miserable looking. I think the Alltel Arena people are being pretty unrealistic

Was this asshole a tall, blonde guy with eyeliner? Yeah, he was a total prick; in fact, he was deliberately trying to pull the small girl behind me to the floor. However, he left after my friend threatened to punch him in the face. Fucking pussy.

The head of security told us before the show that there were 2,000 GA tickets sold, which was more than the normal 800-1000 capacity. However, the band coerced Alltel to allow more GA tickets to be sold for their show.

I know there was one jerk who was shirtless, had a mohawk and an anarchy symbol on his back that kept trying to elbow his way through. I think I saw a shirtless guy fitting his description get kicked out later, hope it was him.

I can understand crunching in tight and being kind of rough, but as always the fun's ruined when you have people more interested in starting a fight than enjoying the energy. Oh, well.

I have to wonder what happened, though--that was NOT 2000 people on the floor. Maybe the weather kept people away? I doubt it.

At the very least the crowd at the front was cool for Saul WIlliams. I really got to take his set in without any trouble.

This is exactly the guy I was talking about. First, he hit a girl in the face right in front of security. They tried to grab him but he ran off. Not 5 minutes later he was elbowing and hitting his way to the front. Myself and 3 other guys grabbed him and pulled him to the rail so the guards could get him. They threw him out after throwing him to the ground pretty hard.

I'm 31 and have seen NIN 6 times, this was by far the best show of theirs I've seen, No BS, just straight up perfectly played music, worth the wait. Thanks!

Glad to hear that--I have some other friends who were down in front there and had to deal with that jerk. A friend of mine who was on the opposite side from me, in front of Jeordie, saw him--so obviously he did a good job of circulating the crowd. My friend said he did a nice job of tripping him up by the ankle and shoving him off.

I'll have to pass word of that along. This really makes my night

I thought it was great. Of course, I started partying at about 2:00 in the afternoon, but it was a really great show. I nearly caught Trents tambourine, but this big guy next to me grabbed it and was protecting it like a football. Oh well, I'll catch it at the next one. But I'll probably be sitting down, being as that was my first time to see Nails live. Next time I want to take it all in, instead of having to push and shove just to get a clear view. Who had problems moshing? The people around me sure didn't.

Good show, though I couldn't sneak my way onto the floor like I had planned on it due to the crazy ass security. There WAS a ticket checker guy in a wheelchair that I was really wanting to push past, but decided against it. Pit looked tame? I've heard about the Anarchy bastard, and I had seen a shirtless guy afterwards, but it probably wasn't him, for he was on the floor after the show. I did see, however, an older gentleman in a walker on the floor at the beginning. *worried face*.
I was slightly let down at Trent's lack of words, since I had heard that he's so much more talkative lately at the shows. *shrugs* It was great nonetheless!

Show was AMAZING despite I guess a few technical probs. LOVED IT!

I bought my ticket the day after they went on sale in the lower level and thought I was getting a superb seat, well I wound up going with my dad b/c he's a fan of their music, and he didnt have a ticket yet, so we had to switch mine out for two best available seats. It worked out amazingly, we wound up in section 121 which was basically front row, the seats in front of us were all covered. AMAZING show! They had more energy than almost every other band I've seen in concert, and they really do sound crisp live, and Trent sounds very very similar to the way he does on the albums. The set list was very With Teeth dominated as others have mentioned, and With Teeth is probably my least or second least favorite album of theirs, but it was still totally amazing. They were so into it you couldnt help but be right there with them. I'm really looking forward to seeing some photos from this show, so someone please post some. Awesome show again, thanks for coming to our little hole in the world.

Josh Freese is a freakin MONSTER! I saw them in Atlanta in october at Phillips arena and JD had just left the tour (wich personally bummed me out). I wasn't expecting much out of a relatively unrehearsed drummer but Alex Carapetis(?) did a damn good job all things considered.
This show was way better and I really didn't expect that. They sounded much tighter and seemed to move effortlessly (sans Aaron's probs) through the set. I was a little less than impressed with Aaron North after the ATL show but he's winning me over, he sounded alot better tues night. Overall, a beautifully tight show. The crowd was awesome as far as responsiveness and I am quite sure thats why we got such a great show. Show em love, you get love back!
Sorry it took so long to get this post up, but we spent the night in LR (At the Peabody) and I hadda bust ass at work yesterday so I can leave here pretty soon and head to Bossier City. Thanks for a good time NLR hope to do it again soon.

I have a picture of him in my cell phone. I captioned it "For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen eew. Put your fucking shirt back on. " (I was bored waiting for things to start so I played "where's waldo" with my husband from my seat.

I had a blast at the show, first time seeing NIN all the way through. The show was awesome, Saul Williams was great, I am buying his book for sure. I also enjoyed meeting some of you in the spiral line, and hope to do it again soon.

Also, I was so tempted to sacrifice my ticket by grabbing that "Spiral Line" sign and running off. It was a pretty miserable wait in line out before the show.

Sure. I have lots of pictures from this show on my blog and there will be more to come as soon as I can liberate them from my phone. If this isn't the guy that was being a douche, well, oops. It was offensive enough, to me, that he was shirtless. uck.
