THAT SHOW FUCKING SUCKED.
^Yeah, I disagree. Immensely. Damn fine show.

The crowd was giving Saul Williams A LOT of love. He even seemed somewhat suprised, acknowledging that he's been pretty hated through the tour.

This set up a very close to sold out molten crowd for NIN, playing through the typical setlist. The only disappointment for me was that while sitting on the side was a great view, not so much with the sheet in front of the stage the videos were projected on, which we couldn't see. That resulted in just listening and staring at the band filtered through the side white sheet for 15 minutes.

The band seemed to be going in not expecting much from the crowd, but like Saul, seemed pretty suprised and got more and more energetic as it went on. Trent pointed out the cameras filming the show, saying that when the cameras around, that guarantees a shitty show, but after tonight they might have to change that rule. Trent didn't say much else, other than a thank you or 2.

I'd been waiting over 10 years for them to roll though. It wasn't the best show I've been to, but it was way up there. Two thumbs way up. Life is almost complete.
awesome show. i didnt know what to expect and was greatly surprised=]

I was in front on the floor slightly to Trents left. Not exactly in the mosh pit but on the outer brim. They obviously went all out with it being a dvd shoot. Not one complaint. No sound problems. "Burn" was a beautifal surprise. The lights were awesome. The videos obviously was a nice slice of cheesecake. Loved every second. Now that their wrapping up in the summer, I might have to see them one more time before Trent goes on the lam for more creative spurts.

Through the second half of the show me and this girl kind of hung out if you will and sort of enjoyed the music together. After the show I saw her sitting down in the hall leading away from the floor area. She was pretty with beautifal hair. Already I regret not exchanging a name, a email, something. Hopefully I see her again. Thru and thru good show. Can't wait for the next one.

wow...that show just fucking rocked. i've been waiting like 10years to see nin live and i wasn't disappointed one bit. it was beyond expectations since i didn't have any beyond knowing it was going to be great. they played the majority of the playlist like the OKC show but instead of "pligrimage" as the opener, we got "pinion" and instead of "sin" we got "the big comedown". one of my favorite moments was during "hurt" when there were all these lighters up in the air and those who didn't have lighters used their cell phones as a substitute and i could swear that i could hear every single person in that room singing along...it was beautiful. i've seen quite a few of my favorite bands play live...but in my opinion that may have been the greatest show i've ever been to.

as for saul williams, i really didn't know what to expect from him. i've heard word on the net that he was good and on theninhotline that you for sure would want to get there for him. usually when it comes to word of mouth stuff, i have to hear myself in case it's just been overhyped...but he was beyond my expectations. he was fantastic...i mean i was just stunned at how amazing he was. pretty short set but he was awesome too.

i can only hope that what was filmed does come out on dvd coz the crowd was amazing. i think it's the 12year absence and the waiting that just brought out the enthusiasm and energy from the crowd. i will definitely cherish the memory of this show for as long as i live.

AMAZING FUCKING SHOW!!

I wouldn't be surprised (and I hope) if most or all of the DVD would come from this show....much to my surprise the crowd was great, trent & co played on fucking fire tonight ask hippygeek he'll tell you ...anyway, sleep I have a plane to catch for next show in the morning ....my attempt at the setlist don't think its in order though...

Quit posting unless you got a show review.
I have been waiting 15 years to see them live - have completely loved them since I was 15 and I was NOT disappointed. This show kicks some pretty bad ass butt! The music was amazing, the visuals were remarkable and the energy was solid.

Great show...3rd time seeing Trent and Co., and I was not disappointed. Was there with quite a few friends (I'm guessing Deicidian is Jeff) and saw a ton of other people I knew...good times. Got kinda drunk before the show, but that certainly didn't hinder me from getting about 10 feet from the stage center for most of the show...up until head like Head Like A Hole when I surfed up to the security rail. Anyway...a great show and I surely hope that the DVD get's released with a LOT of El Paso material.
Show was tight! Crowd was great, had good energy, no fuckers and douches, there weren't any drunk bastards yelling shit during hurt, and much love for saul williams, that guys tight, I don't see how the crowd in other cities can hate on him. Close minded i guess. Anyway best NIN show I've ever been too, EP kicks big cities asses. Oh, and Saul's DJish guy with the moose horns, was crowd surfing during NiN's set and hung around on the floor talking people. Great Show. One critique though, NIN should boost the bass on songs like Even deeper, closer, and when the drums come in on hurt. Those songs sound badass with lots of bass. Final thought, loved it!

i have a review to eventually write and some reasons why i'm never going to el paso again to list, but first i wanted to give a big "fuck you" to ticketmaster for selling the spiral seats after they had already been purchased and reserved.

thanks to the tenacity of a vibrant and friendly fellow spiral member, we (the six-or-so of us) got to keep our seats. that brandi chick was at the ticketing guy's throat, insisting that there would be serious problems if the spiral members were moved to a less desirable section.

Dear Deicidean

Please stop raping me.

Yours sincerely, English
not the best show but i had a great view from the west side. i was a little curious what was with that little interlude in the middle of with teeth. never heard it before.

portland was better.

i cannot go through this again.

seriously.

so, yeah, the show was amazing. the pit looked ridiculously uncomfortable. the swooping camera seemed to be catching bon jovi-esque moments. aaron stage dived and probably hurt some paying customers.

whatever.

i took tons of pics, but a slow shutter speed made only a few of them winners. my favorite:

This show kicked ass! Me and my friend came all the way from Washington to see this show. We decided to go and see NIN out of our area to treat ourselves for spring break. We were not disapointed at all. I got to mosh with Krak Atik during most of the show. I wish Saul had a longer set though, I was getting into it and then bam, good night.

I must say, due to the majority of the population being hispanic, they really knew how to rock. I was impressed. El Paso rocks! My favorite part of the show was when Trent got up on a platform and sang Closer, he really did an awsome job. Overall the performance kicked ass. I would go back to El Paso anytime to see NIN. Hopefully the video recording wasn't a publicity stunt and they dont use any of the footage. Trent should give these hispanics some recognition for being completly insane. Anyway this was an awsome experience and out of control show!

you must live in portland or been born there cuz about 7 or so out of towners (who attended about 13 shows) didn't even have it in the top ten.......not for nothing but been to 6 shows and this one fucked the other ones over it was a hometown show but I definitely got objective opinions from others....

anyway I am going to have to somehow bridge this concert with my trip to cabazon with hippygeek and our meeting-planeride-meeting-planeride with Trent ...written and photographic evidence to come ...as soon as hippygeek gets online......

if you are who i think you are, i was standing behind you in the spiral line. didn't you and hippygeek just meet on a whim that day? if so, that's pretty damn cool.

by the way, i was the guy who stuck out like a sore thumb.

i saw you and hippygeek in the airport, too, but i'm pretty shy and was ready to head out so i didn't stop y'all.

the el paso crowd was ace. no doubt.

Back bitches, so let's get these done in order...

Got there at 4.30pm. Chatted a little to NotSoTough and a few others. Then talked to jandrox. I'd brought my leather jacket with me, with the cover of my French closer promo CD in it in case we got a meet and greet. Didn't happen.

I then asked jandrox if I could dump it in his car - since I was going for the rail (thanks! Made life bearable in the pit!).

Then we find out we're on the same flights to Palm Springs the next day, so after the show we decided to travel together (the first of many coincidences :)

I *did* manage to get the rail, right in front of Aaron. I'm glad I stayed the course, only jumping out as HLAH started to rush to the merch booth.

Having the cameras really added to the energy of the crowd, combine that with the fact that I think we got every single WT track that's ever been played live so far, and it felt great.

I have never been so crushed in a pit, and have a line of bruises under my nipples from the barrier (OK, maybe too much detail... :). The security guys were FUCKING EXCELLENT. I was really impressed with the way they dealt with shit - and with them lifting people's feet up as they pulled them out of the crowd rather than just dragging them out and whacking the shit out of people.

A great set, a great crowd, and cool security. All added up to a flawless night. Definitely the best of the three shows I went to.

And jandrox - you rock. Thanks again for the ride after the show!

Alright in the crowd picture here, I can see where I am at. If you look at the security gaurd with the yellow vest on th right side of the corner where the barricade starts level with the stage and look for a blurry white guy with a black hat backwords.

Also to add about the show. there were about three fights. I was impressed with the one guy that it took 5 or 6 SG's to get him out. It was pretty cool!

More like *not* handle their drink - there was only Bud and Bud Light - how the hell can you get drunk on that unless you have no stomach for alcohol?

Punchline from a related joke: And the Guinness brewmaster said, "Ah well, if yous two ain't drinkin', I don't see why I should either..."
que onda raza!! el concierto en El Paso.. estuvo con madrees!! uno de los mejores conciertos que He visto!!! very very nice concert!! all the visual effects kick ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry my friend but you got that one wrong, its not that people (including my group) couldn't handle their drink its due to the fact that most drank before the concert even started & then carried two at a time afterward...(case in point my group & brother...drank at home, met up at a pizza place & ordered pitchers of beer there, then got beer before & during the Saul set double...)

and if you remember after we all split up my bros & friends went ....to....my brothers house to do what??? grab a few more beers and drink there..... after dropping you off I am the only one that went home....

Careful Alex, if I have to start putting smilies after all my sarcastic comments, I'm afraid I'll have to send you over to The Spiral boards for a while ;-)

I was pissed that they only had Bud/Bud Light though. At [s]the Bank One Ballpark[/s] Chase Field in Phoenix, they have a huge range of beer - it's not that hard, surely?
