I can't believe I'm the first post. Then again, everyone's either camping or just getting back to Seattle.

This was my 7th NIN show (all in the With Teeth era...sad) and I'd have to say the crowd was BY FAR the best ever. Everyone was REALLY into it, people were agressive but not mean, and everyone was going nuts. The thing that supprised me the most was that there were so many chicks in the pit--throughout the whole thing. Most shows I've been to, the only girls left at the end are with boyfriends who are protecting them, and they don't look like they're having much fun. I think Trent was really impressed by the crowd.

Trent didn't say much except a few thank yous and a mentioning of how beautiful Washington is. I just got out here a week ago for a summer internship (@ Microsoft :-), but from what I can tell it sure is. But I digress.

Somewhat damaged was what they started with. It was quite the stealth start because there were a bunch of techs on the stage and the lights were on when trent came on and just started singing. They played a bunch of Fragile stuff and a bunch of PHM and Broken stuff, but I'll leave the set list to someone with a better memory.

The sound was great, but not loud enough. The lighting was awesome. They now have 5 vertical display panels behind them with some bright led strips between them. Replacing the curtain is something somewhat hard to describe. It's basically rows of led strips arranged horizontally that can be raised or lowered. I'm sure there'll be some pictures up soon. Overall, lighting is more simple, but still just as effective as the Spring and Fall tours.

At the end, it looked as though there would be an encore. Trent really semed to like the crowd and the lights stayed off for a really long time. In the end, I think it was just a misscommunication between the NIN people and the house people. I know this would have been the first With Teeth encore (right?), but I still got my hopes up.

Other random stuff:

Josh Freese has spiced up some of the drum parts in the songs. If I remember right, the end of Wish notably cooler.

At the end of the concert, aaron knocked over his cabnet and stabbed the front of it with his guitar. I'm pretty sure it went through one of the speakers.

The shirts for this tour are pretty crazy. There's the standard black one, but then there are two others that you just have to check out.

Trent had a farmer's tan (very visible where his t-shirt sleaves end on his arms. :-)

Oh yeah! And they played get down make love--apparently first time in 10 years.

I just got back from the show at the Gorge - 4 hour drive. I think I can list most, if not all of the songs, but they're not in order. The first three and the last three I know for sure, and the rest I'm just throwing in to list them. Hopefully they're somewhat close - I didn't have anything to write with. It was a great show.

I forgot to mention - there was no intro before "Somewhat Damaged" started. They were running late, and I think the show had to be over by midnight (which is pretty much when it ended). One of the opening bands had a problem that set everyone back. I don't know if they just skipped the intro - usually Pinion or Pilgrimage? - due to time, or if it was intentional.

I don't mean to be picky, but you left out "Burn," wherever that fits in. I know that they played it because it was my wife's favorite song of the night.

The show was awsome! I took picts but it will be awhile before I get the film devoloped. It was the first time I saw NIN and I was thrilled.

Un-fucking-believable. I've been fortunate enough to see NIN many times over the past ten or so years and last night's show was the best I've ever seen. The set-list speaks for itself and they played it like it was the last show they'll ever do. I feel sorry for anyone who missed it.

I was especially surprised at how well only has adapted to the live set. I was thoroughly excited that they played a lot more from the fragile this time around and of course loved the new version of non entity. I enjoyed it much better than the original version. I can safely say that this was the best show I've ever been to. Thanks to Trent and band for giving 110% and for the compliments to the crowd and area.

The crowd was great. Everyone seemed to get into it where I was standing. Everybody at certain key points sang along too. My only complaint is that the mosh pit was a little to intense for my taste. I had to scramble to a more laid back area to the right side of the stage in order to actually be able to pay close attention to the show. Maybe I'm boring, but i don't like getting pushed around to much because it distracts some of my attention from the stage . Especially since I'm smaller and have to work harder to preserve my health. I'm happy that i escaped with only a few bruises from that one.

On a final note, I was dissapointed with the shirt selection. The only new tour shirt they had was an orange one. Hopefully this post makes sense. I didn't get back to my house until 5:00 A.M. which is the latest of stayed up for years.

This was an absolute best. I couldn't believe the set list, it was a very nice choice for the gorge. Im please to say that I got to experience the first time NIN played Get Down Make Love in 20 years. I liked the new stage set up. Trent always has an awsome set up. On a smaller note, this show fucking rocked!

I do believe he chose this song because sasquatch were advertising halo 4. At any rate, it does make u feel important when they something special. Especiallu when trent doesn't really talk to the crowd alot.

amazing set. different energy than the Key Arena show, but even better performance. most of the peeps in the crow were cool, and the usual jerks were there too. i like how nin snuck out at the beginning of the set with no fanfare and just started right into it; all of a sudden tr's arm appeared behind the light grid and things started up.

too bad about the torrential rain afterward. that campground must be a swamp by now. they were selling $10 nin shirts (or "en eye en shirts!! get 'em right here!" as one guy was saying) afterward on the walk back to the campground, but i didn't check out the design; not sure which ones they were.

I'm wearing that shirt right now. It's got the with_teeth style NIN logo on the front. On the back it has the standard NIN logo on top in the middle, below that is a picture from the pretty hate machine jacket, and on the sides are the current cities on the tour, starting with George, WA of course.

I've been a huge NIN fan for 12 years, and this was my first NIN concert. It fucking rocked. Definitely the best concert I've ever been to. I've got about 100 high quality pics to upload as soon as I get off my ass and get them developed.

Trent was playing the tamborine, and let go of it in transition between songs, the crowd was not even prepared for the excitement that he put upon us all. Whoever that got it in the crowd when it landed must hold on to it for ever, and never sell it on ebay.

The Visuals on this leg of the tour was absolutely amazing, but i love what he had in seattle in september, hopefully both legs of the tour will be somewhat supported in some way or another in DVD format.

Trent also spoke about the beauty of our area, and the natural erosion from centurys. Trent said dont take your land in the columbia basin for granted.

Trent went through about five different Clothes drops, he looks really great with his head shaved.

I was in the pressing pressure, right up against the center of the padded wall in front under trent, it was very sweet.

So much crowd surfing, moshing was very strong but i have seen heavier, the current of us humans swayed and tripped over all night long, so many including myself fell down under the pressure but was quickly helped up by fellow fans.

Nine inch nails has there own atmosphere when you go to there shows, you cant get that anywhere else.

I was in shock when i heard them play get down make love. Hopefully they get deeper into there catalog and stir up there ranges in the style for there shows, what they are doing now is completley mezmorizing, and truley amazing.

Well i will post more later about my favorites of the night, right now i am off too work, even though i am still drunk from last night and jim beam.

It ruled, plus was nice to see and hear NON ENTITY with the full band. I wonder if this will be his next single. I think his new stuff will end up being just as good as the material on WT. I know NON ENTITY sure is.

Best NIN show of any I have been too. Visuals were stellar. Band rocked it hard.

The Gorge was gorgeous.

It made for a kick ass birthday.

The show was fantastic! I was in the front row behind the pit.I got there at about 3 pm and there weren't that many people for the first half of the day.Only during Bauhaus did the fans start to crowd in. In the beginning of HIM's crappy set the lead singer announced his own band as "the second greatest rock band in the world" to which I laughed hysterically.A few minutes later I noticed Trent watching them on the side of the stage and talking to someone.After only a few minutes he seemed about as unimpressed as I was,and left.

This show was much better than the show in Seattle in September and I thought that show was great.The energy at the Gorge was different and the setting was of course,amazing.Trent was a lot more talkative remarking on the beauty of the northwest and how he was honored to be there.I also noticed a lot more crowd sing-along.The visuals were great especially the blue watery background and the red blood cells....

Bauhaus? Awesome? Was I the only one in the crowd who thought they were ridiculously lame? My friend and I couldn't stop laughing at the singer's unintentionally hilarious antics. I kept thinking he looked like Tony Blair trying to do karaoke of David Bowie songs, but without the vocal chops.

ANYWAY. NIN fucking rocked of course. This was my second show (saw them earlier in Vancouver on the first leg of the With Teeth tour), and it was definitely the better of the two. The band's energy was unbelievable. They seemed a bit loose, which might be due to this being the first show on the new leg, but it really showed the group in high-octane form. As for the lighting, this was by far the most impressive light set-up at a festival show I've ever seen. It's too bad that the show had a hard deadline of midnight (I think the sound cut out during Trail of Dead's set earlier in the day, pushing everyone else back). At least it didn't hail (like it did on saturday, cutting everyone's set short)!!

The lady and I were pleasantly surprised by this one, considering we went in with pretty low expectations. Everything from Help Me I Am In Hell (which we thought was Ripe until we got home just now...oops) until Get Down Make Love was pretty neat. Opening with Somewhat Damaged would have been a nice change if I liked that song, or it sounded good live, but I'll still give points for effort there (personally I wanted Mr. Self Destruct). Non-Entity was the highlight of my evening, though it took me to the first chorus to figure out what the hell it was. La Mer into Into The Void was something we've all been musing about for ages, and good to finally see. Now if only he'd do that Frail into Fragile thing, I'd be content. Well, not really, but it would be a step in the right direction. Surprised at the relative lack of W_T material, mostly no complaints about that, save one:

Yes. I kept saying it and saying it, but to no avail. Bah. Anyway, the first half of the show was meh, the 3/8 after that were pretty neat, and the last three songs were put to good use in beating the crowd back to the campsite. Hooray!

Wow - what a setting, what a stage show, what a performance. Trent et al appeared relaxed and enjoying themselves (and hauling out Get Down Make Love - priceless!)

Hard to say which I enjoyed more - this or September's Vancouver concert.

The sound quality was fantastic!

I'm hoping to see TV on the Radio come this way again soon - great stuff. Bauhaus was a treat to see (I was a fan of theirs long before NIN came along, lots of nostalgia value there). Peter Murphy was in fine form, new material was interesting.

H.I.M. was pointless and banal.

We wandered over to the Wookie stage for a bit - really enjoyed Deadboy and the Elephant men.

What an amazing concert. The venue was so surreal. This was my 1st time at Gorge and seeing NIN. NIN was definitly the best of all the bands over the weekend for me. Great set, energy, i was singing my heart out and headbangin. I really hope a bootleg appears from this...

My sister's boyfriend had press credentials for the pit (as a photog). Says when tr kicked his mic stand off the stage it hit several photogs and knocked one woman unconscious. she had a concussion, but was back in the pit the next day.

so i saw the photographer chick get the mike stand in the head. I was in the front row sorta between Trent and Jeordie (got a pick from Jeordie and was impressed it actually had NIN printed on it) and she was just holding her head and looked in quite a lot of pain. . .I don't think she blacked out though...and ya, couldn't have been that bad since she was back the next day. Does anyone know who she was taking shots for? She took a picture of me and asked for my name and all that...but i can't remember who she said she was with. I didn't really care at that point because i was so stoked at what was going on. But I'd like to know now sorta.

This was my third NIN concert this year (Vancouver and Calgary) and I thought it was pretty cool how creative they were with that LED screen in the front--due to being outside and all.

I loved that Trent had a tamborine. That is so wack! Did anyone else notice some sort of beatboxing-ish recorded sounds at any point? Maybe Saul's recorded beats or something? Well, i was impressed with the refreshing new twists. i think it shows trent's ability to transcend musical stereotypes. I was so thankful that NIN performed on Friday after getting my ass kicked by golfball-sized hail on Saturday while waiting for the Flaming Lips.

when will we have the oppertunity to recieve our copys of this wonderful show, i was there, the forth and last leg of the journey, i thought the set design was top quality for the amplitheater. I enjoy coming to the gorge for all my shows, and i will never miss another nine inch nails show at any venue near washington state, the last show i went to see was back in september 23rd, and i was fortunate to get a version on audio from that show, so please anyone that has a version of the sasquatch festival performance on may 26th, please send me a password to your demonoid or dimadozen account, i would very much appreciate that, and if you would ever desire anything, just ask, i practically have everything known to man that has ever been recorded, just leave a note on this page, and i will return the comment.
