JOSH FREESE!orestes wrote:Just got in from the venue. I'll post a more detailed review after I return home tomorrow afternoon; however, let me just say that my last show of the With Teeth tour couldn't have been any better.
I think I can easily say that Down In It almost stole the show for me. As nothoney said afterwards, "Who knew the old girl still had it in her?"
i was looking at that, too. pretty sure it said "safe in heaven. dead." could be wrong though.FortheLoveofgoD wrote: Anyone know what Trent's shirt said? Something about someone in heaven is dead.
I'm pretty sure I saw Aaron jump into the pit early on, but I didn't see Jeordie jump in. Though, I may have been watching the big screen at the time if he had. The camera operators got a little psychedelic.LEA wrote:Did my eyes deceive me, or did Jeordie jump into the crowd? In any event, he was pretty animated the whole show. Weird.
Thanks I have been waiting for the new pics.ScottG wrote:By the way...there's been some discussion of the TShirt Trent has been wearing....
Here's a shot of it from that FrontRowCenter thing from last night.

Yes, Aaron jumped into the crowd during MOTP but it looks like someone might have bum rushed the stage during Closer. During the second verse of Closer, when Trent was in front of the LED fence, I noticed someone walk behind him. At first, I thought it might have been Aaron or Jeordie, but suddenly they leaped into the pit. I might have been a roadie or security taking care of something in the pit.Damos wrote:I'm pretty sure I saw Aaron jump into the pit early on, but I didn't see Jeordie jump in. To each his/her own... I interpreted it as just another manifestation of whatever was in the water fountains that night, along with the drunk guy at the center of the pit who repeatedly yelled FUCK YOU at Trent and started pushing people around during SOMETHING I CAN NEVER HAVE... who was a sign of things to come, as the center of the pit devolved into a giant ring of tall and heavy shirtless guys flinging each other about, starting with CLOSER and continuing through GAVE UP, whereupon *I* gave up and got the HELP ME I AM IN HELL out of there. I eventually ended up on the top of the lawn, alternately dancing and meditating beside the giant rock. To each his/her own. : )sage wrote:It totally made the entire night rock even more.
Yeah, that's what happened. I had one person in front pf me at the stage and I was between Trent an Jeordie - so I saw it too. just some scmuck that got on stage.sage wrote:Trollmanen,
He didn't come out from backstage. He jumped onstage from the rail (how he made the jump, I have no idea, but I saw it with my own eyes). Then ran across the stage and dove onto the pit. I didn't take my camera to the show so I'm trying to find someone online who may have a pic that I can give him. It totally made the entire night rock even more.
Hey, was that guy yelling a very LARGE bald dude of Latino origin? He was giving Trent the bird all night too like it was a sign of affection. He was right next to me. Yuck. My friend had to get out too, but she had also had three beers and was a bit messed-up. The DC crowd was the roughest of the ones I went to on this leg. I think my running in 90 degree weather helps me last the crazy pits. It was a great show though.kyle wrote:To each his/her own... Nope, our guy was on the short side and had a decent amount of hair. Like I said, there was something in the water fountains!Busanda wrote:Hey, was that guy yelling a very LARGE bald dude of Latino origin?

i'll post more tomorrow, as i'm pretty tired now. this was my last show for the with teeth tour, and as orestes said, my last show couldn't have been better, especially with the radio performance including spiral members. and yes, down in it stole the show for me too.

That's not what I meant. I was insinuating if she actually attended the show, surely she would have remembered that song and what the abbreviation stood for. Obviously, I was wrong.nothoney wrote:Pot, kettle, black, Gazoo!

*snicker* As if a little panda poop would bother me. I actually got to see it up close and personal on Saturday morning - it was cool!GreatGazoo wrote:That's not what I meant. I didn't mean to imply I was actually there. Hell, we all know if that was the case, I would have partied it up with you ladies and there would be hundreds more stories in this thread (and hundreds more that would go untold).
Ah hell, you knew what I meant from the beginning. You're just busting my balls. You know what, I hope a panda poops on you today.
Get the fuck out of here before I stick my slot A into your slot B!GreatGazoo wrote:That's not what I meant. Holy shit orestes! I had no IDEA you had a slot A!orestes wrote:Get the fuck out of here before I stick my slot A into your slot B!GreatGazoo wrote:That's not what I meant. She missed the pre-show because I had a bad day (cancelled vacation plans, small appliance breakdown), a bad headache and had no intention of standing around for hours at Nissan hoping that something might happen.Busanda wrote:And you were at the DC show? Did you get to see the pre-show perfomance with TVOR and Peter Muphy? And why were all the guys in DC giving Trent the finger all night?
There was a group of the right against the rail, or one person behind. They crushed there way up there once the show started. I couldn't ignore them becaus eI was smashed right against them. But other than that, and some loser throwing gum in my friend's hair, it was a great show!orestes wrote:Erm, wait that came off as phallic, didn't it?
Sweet buns, let me be your gun.
Sadly, I missed out on the super boss and rad performance before the show. I didn't notice anyone giving Trent the finger because I was too busy dancing and pogoing up and down.
