Cleveland rocks?

Well, we missed both Peaches and Bauhaus due to a huge storm that blew through, and some big accident on 271-S, but we made it in time to catch NIN, and they fucking rocked.

Setlist seemed identical to Detroit last night, and I have to say Help Me I Am In Hell is fucking PHENOMENAL live, the backdrop was mindblowing.

I hate to be picky, but unless I spaced out for about 20 seconds or so during Suck, I think Josh came in way early.

Aw man, that was the best NIN concert I've ever been to. I can't quite remember the setlist, so I'll let someone else post it. Forgive me if this isn't entirely coherant; I just got back, and my body is sore.

The Blossom is the biggest, coolest arena I've ever been to in my life. I thought it was just going to be the ampitheatre and that's it, but the venue was MASSIVE. Spiral members had to park in one area at first, then move to a different area afterward. Free parking!

I bought merch before the prices were even up in the merch booth. It's a good thing too, because after the concert there was a mob at the booth. Anyway, we were able to walk around the venue before we were led into the actual ampitheatre. I was able to get on the rail for the very first time, thanks to an extremely nice couple.

Peaches was... interesting to say the least. I had to touch her ass when she crowdsurfed. The poor woman about two people away from me had her head disappear underneath Peaches' (I don't know her actual name, sorry) "XXX" cape for a few seconds. Overall they were okay, but I can't say I'd listen to the group again.

I think it started to rain really hard right before Bauhaus came onto stage. There were a lot of people on the lawn too. Bauhaus was amazing, but unfortunately very few people around me got into them as much as I did. In the middle of Bauhaus's set, I saw Trent walking on stage for a few seconds. Anyway, Peter Murphy got pissed off at something and began to tip over some monitors repeatedly after roadies picked them back up. I was able to catch a rose pedal thrown by Peter. Shame that everyone else was laughing at him while I thought he was the coolest person I've ever seen in my life.

Then it went to NIN. The band was extremely energetic in the first few songs, and for the rest of the show, too. Trent was throwing around mic stands in the second song, which was Terrible Lie, I think. Jeordie was also jumping around a lot, which suprised me. Something that made me laugh was in the middle of Something I Can Never Have. As soon as Trent stopped singing the second chorus, this big ass moth came out of fucking nowhere and flew up towards the stage. This moth was the size of a small bird, for Christ's sake. It flew past Trent's head, who looked like he was on the bringe of tears. The moth flew near Jeordie and must've hit him in the face or something, because he began to crack up laughing. It was hilarious to see the contrast between crying and histerical laughter.

Thankfully, there wasn't any huge assholes at the show that I saw, mainly because the pit was so small. It was long enough, but it seemed that it could only hold about 300 people. I found that Spiral members, for the most part, are extremely nice. (Aside from a few assholes, anyone who was there should know who I'm talking about) I'm suprised that the pit wasn't more aggressive than it was. It was obvious that everyone was extremely pumped, but everyone seemed to respect other people's space, for the most part. I'm happy about that, because at the last concert I was at, in Toledo, people seemed to be absolute cunts. I like being pushed around a little just as much as the next person, but when people begin to push forward fucking constantly during The Frail, something's wrong.

Overall, this was an awesome show and I had a great time. My only gripe was that they didn't play Get Down Make Love, but everything else made up for that. I hope someone was able to record it, so I can relive the experience again.

incredible. first time seeing nin with josh freese, and it's a perfect match. driving on 303 to get to 71 is like going on a rollercoaster too.

Security was great, always running into the lawn to stop something from happening. The firecrackers went off and so did security. I saw this one guy taunting security guards with pizza in both hands. That guy was the good guy.

Greatest NIN show i ever been to. Peaches rocked during a rain session, Bauhaus kinda let me down. NIN was great, Down in it was awesome!

I did not understand why people would have a moss pit on the lawn? The hill is wet and slopped, no one stayed up for than a min. I was 2 rows back from the front of the lawn.

Great show, beer was a lil over priced ($8.75 a 24 oz) but good crowd and great show.

Took us about 45 minutes to get out of the parking lots and onto the main highway. I have pictures on my friends phone, she will upload them for me. When i get them, ill post them.

I saw that moth too from by the soundboard and at first thought it was a bird. Jeordie was swatting at it and then moved his keyboard away from the spotlights. Funny. And yeah, Down In It was awesome.

Great show last night. I went with my girlfriend and we arrived right at seven. After finishing a bottle of SoCo in the car (in true biker style) we had sex in the back of my car in the middle of a monsoon. It was rather awesome I have to say. So deciding that oragasms were more important than Peaches we ran to the gate and got to our seat right as Peter Murphy was taking the stage. Bauhaus was cool, but I think that they seemed too mature for people to get really into. And maybe due to the rain people weren't exactly eager to see them. We ran into a couple friends and then went from the lawn to the pit. My GF did ok as we were the equivalent of about three rows back. The whole show Aaron was right in front of us and Trent was about fifteen ft to the middle. I've seen every single leg of this tour and last night was my eighth time for With Teeth, and it seemed like this took the longest for NIN to come on. I will admit I liked the subtle entrance and right into Somewhat Damaged. YKWYA was amazing and the entire crowd was yelling it as well. SICNH was always perfect and he sang it the best I've ever heard, (maybe the whole Cleveland thing?) MOTP was crazy and I still love that fucking song live. Help Me Im In Hell was the highlight of the night though. I have always loved that song-and the fact that he has been playing it is awesome. The way that the band played it was flawless, but I couldn't see Trent during it??? La Mer/Into the Void was sweet and it felt great to hear La Mer and remind me of something that was amazing: Fragility V2.0. Down In It was cool and Trent went apeshit towards the end of it. Now I'm not a "Hurtee" in general, but hearing and seeing it that close was awesome, and I could have cried for some reason. But instead I lifted my GF up during the end "...I will find a way"

Had a great time at the show last night. First time seeing the band with all the visuals. Was down in Atlantic City back in March and obviously, due to stage size, the visuals were scaled down. Very cool. Great set list. Quick question, I think it may have been during SICNH (this was not the batmoth incident), did someone toward the front left get dropped on their head in front of Jeordie? My buddy and I were in the back center of the pit and we heard a thud. Seemingly the rest of the crowd did as well since everyone shifted their attention briefly.

Minor suggestion to the the big sister, aptly dubbed "Katie Holmes" by another pitter. Don't get into the pit if you want your space. During the first few songs I kept hearing "eewwww". She was actually getting pissed people were pushing in to her. Granted this was not a Counting Crows concert.....One last gripe, thank you to the woman screaming "David (something or other) get back here" into the pit during Hurt. Your incessant calling to this "David" during the song pretty much ruined it. But hey, thanks.

Mosh pit did get rather feisty at time especially during DII, THTF and of course HLAH. Some guy came back from what I can only assume was the ambulance with a huge bandage on his head (maybe the guy that got dropped from my question above) covering his eye. Looked dazed, but not confused.

Big thank you to a couple of the guys in the back of the pit who kept me on my feet and helped push back. You know who you are. See you in Pittsburgh.

I don't know if I'm being too picky here but couldn't they have changed up at least ONE song?

The energy was there, but again is the setlist gonna be the same for tonight too?

Actually I think that every artist played everysong in the same order(or damn close to it).

Woke up for continental breakfast too late... ends at 9am... WTF??? kinda early to be ending fucking breakfast.

Oh, did want to mention 2 things.... Trent almost totally forgetting the chorus to SICNH... he almost went into the second line of lyrics(that's what I think anyway) It's like he caught himself right after he started to sing and caught himself and started shaking his head... then preceded into the chorus. And he was coughing after that song, made him kinda seem more real to me.

Well, I hope the setlist is not exactly the fucking same at columbus... but hey guess i'm just bitching to bitch... i'll still have fun.

by far the best nails show i have ever been to. as for the mud pit, i thought it was amazing, i ended up completely covered in mud from head to toe... it was alot of fun. suprisingly there were like 6 or 7 girls running around in the pit, i felt kinda bad crashing into them until one of the girls tackled me! the light show was the best ive ever witness. loved the show!!

Yeah, real hard. Everyone else was staring at the bat/moth and the security guards weren't paying attention (They could've been staring at the bat/moth too). Then all you heard was a loud thud. This guy behind me said "Oh shit, that was a person." The guy that fell got up within ten seconds, I think. He didn't seem that hurt; I think he was even smiling.

Wow. I think that was better than the last time they came to cleveland back in October (I was there too.)

Well our seats were originally in the rear pavilion, but when the storm came through, some security guard took us and moved us down- from our seats to the $53 seats! My boyfriend and I quickly made a run for seats right at the bottom of the section, as close as we could get. It was great.
Haha glad to know I'm not the only one who was starting at the bat/moth going "What the hell is that???"

Did anyone else catch the really drunk/stoned shick who they had to cary out of the pit and get her into the medical truck? It was between Bauhaus and NIN. I laughed at her.

I was kinda disappointed at no Mr. Self Destruct. They were opening with it a few weeks ago. But her, I can't complain. THE BIG COMEDOWN!!!!! FUCK YES!!!! That was what made the concert spectacular for me.

I unfortunately missed Peaches due to the weather The lighting for NIN was amazing (my 4th NIN concert), truly the best ever. The set up for Closer could probably never be beat even by Trent himself... the lights, getting up on that platform, everything

my first nin concert and probably not going to be my last. I arrived earliy with my friend and we decided to buy posters and other stuff before we sat down on the lawn. Big mistake, that storm destroyed my $20 poster because they didnt give me a bag. My friends poster was covered in plastic, lucky bastard. thinking it was going to be a perfect day we decided not to bring in our blankets and rain slickers. we had to pay 3.50 for rain ponchos and as soon as we put them on the rain stopped. I bought a t-shirt afterwards and changed so i would be partially dry. It seemed like everything was going wrong for me. that was until trent and his buddies came onto the stage and played an astounding performance of somewhat damaged. My excitement built up along with the crowds as they played a great track list of DYKWYA, DII, Closer ("the only time" mixed into the song), Sin, Non Entity, SICNH, Burn, Big come down, Hurt, MOTP, La Mer Wish, Suck, THTF, HLAH. All in all it turned out to be a great performance that i will never forget.

Sorry to hear about your poster. I bought all my merch last time they came to town. The only thing that got wet of mine was my purse which I put down in a huge puddle. My ticket got wet, but luckily it is still in good shape.

I am not positive on this - but I think it was a baby bat that flew onto the stage. I was sitting in the first section towards the left of the stage. Shortly after Peaches started to play, a security guard caught a baby bat that landed right next to him, and put it on the lawn. Off and on during the night I spotted quite a few of them flying around. But like I said, I'm not sure.

Great show, I cant think of details except annoying blonde chicks dancing like whores and trying to get infront of me and a really really cool couple I talked to the whole time, they both had the biggest boots ive ever seen and they both were very tall anyway so they towered over my 5'9''. I noticed some songs lacked energy but some songs had a ton, I was wondering if people could post or PM me bauhaus setlist and any pictures or vids.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw something come flying out of the pit, then this huge "boom!". I thought someone had thrown a brick or something at the stage. Then this guy comes out limping. There's no way he didn't break something.

Jeordie's little antics during SICNH were embarrassing. I think I've seen him run away from insects (it wasn't a bat, it was a huge moth) onstage before. Isn't he from Florida or something? You'd think he'd be used to it. Trent's pouring his heart out, and this fool has a huge section of the crowd laughing their asses off. I mean, I know that for Jeordie it can probably get boring during that song--playing the same notes over and over (although he still manages to screw them up) but be a little more professional, man.

I noticed that they've pushed Alessandro and Josh closer to the front. I think the stage set up must have annoyed Trent, he was pulling the carpet up & out of his way halfway through the show.

Aaron seemed a little off to me. At first his theatrics annoyed me, but when he's more subdued it's noticeable and it feels as if something's missing. He's gonna kill himself one day. He bit it pretty hard when he came down off of that stack of amps.

I'm so over the Spiral line crap. I think that after this tour they should get rid of the early entrance feature. There are some nutjobs that have started showing up and they're really getting on my nerves. I thought there would be a fight with some chick screaming her head off about how she was there for 2 days. And? So? No one told you to do that. I show up at 3pm the day of the show and still get rail. Some of them really need a bath, too.

Who pissed in Trent's Wheaties last night? I haven't seen him that fired up in quite a while. That guy's got some serious anger issues. What an intense show.

I really hope so. The show last night was my first concert, and I'm glad that I actually got to go to a NIN concert. (I had planned to go to the concert at the Blossom last year, but some stuff had prevented me from doing so) I didn't like Peaches very much (it made me think of a not-so-good rip-off of Mindless Self Indulgence), and Bauhaus was alright. I sat out on the lawn, through the rain and storm without moving until it let up, because I had an awesome spot where I could see the stage perfectly from the lawn. After the rain let up, then came the long wait as NIN set up. By this time I was really stoked to hear them play. Once they came on stage.. god damn it got so loud. I loved it, though. Having not ever been to a NIN concert before, I didn't know what to expect. I heard a lot of songs I hadn't heard in a long time, which was awesome for me. Once they started playing Hurt, though, it was just.. wow. Everyone was singing along. It was awesome through the entire show, and Trent and the rest of the band seemed very energetic. Once it ended... man I did not want to go home.

On the other hand, not relating to the music, it was funny to watch drunk people running around, dancing, and one guy even went through the crowd, shirtless, giving people high fives. It was awesome.

I like MSI. Peaches wasn't that bad... I didn't really know what to expect before seeing her there, I had listened to one song (Fuck the Pain Away) and I didn't really care for it that much. But her stage performance was interesting.

Awesome show. The pit was perfect...it was a constant crush through the entire set but wasn't to the point where it was dangerous, not too many body surfers either. I was able to keep my attention on the stage and still have fun getting pushed around. TR was as aggressive as I've ever seen him, he tried to tear up the rug on stage and threw his guitar a few times, one time was off the cage as it was coming down at the end of the show. Aaron also jammed what was left of his guitar in between the cage as it came down at the end. By far the best of the six With Teeth shows I've seen.

Terrible Lie and Wish never sounded better and Non Entity and Even Deeper were my other highlights...Down In It too, I think the craziest the pit got all night was during it.

Did anyone think the wood paneling around the sides of the stage looked a little funny for a NIN show? Looked a little like a ski lodge up there.

This was a great show, it was the first sime I saw Non Entity live and sounded terrific. I missed Peaches because the ATM i was at before the show actually got hit by a bolt of lightning so I had to spend forever trying to find fucking cash. It was also the first time i saw bauhaus, watched from backstage with a band member's brother. They are awesome and i hear they are working on a new album. I watched NIN from my seat which a friend got tickets from trent's personal assastant (pretty cool guy too if i must say so myself), and it was freakin awesome. I didnt really notice the lightning during the show but it was a freaking monsoon before the show and the stage was about a mile from where i parked.

i think it was just that stage, there was like 3 feet between the backdrop and all the equipment behind the stage. There really wasnt any room at all to even walk, it was pretty crowded.

I have seen Nails at least once every time they have come around
NE Ohio since 1994, fan since 1990. They have never disappointed.

I agree, the beer was way tooo expensive. But sure
did good down good!

Liked Bauhaus...were their levels too high?? I was to the right of the
stage and maybe the water did something to my ears but it was
just annoyingly loud.
Saw the drunk chick they hauled out of the pit...poor thing...hope she
saw at least some of Nails.
LOVED Somewhat Damaged. Sounded awesome. They did a similiar opening for Fragility...but behind white screen.
Whole night was real good...glad to hear what we did...would have
really been blown away if theyd have played Dead Souls and GDML.
Can not wait till they come around again.

The drunk chick that got pulled out of the pit didn't see any of nails as far as I know, they loaded her onto the medical cart and drove her away long before NIN took the stage.

I didn't feel bad for her, she did that to herself, that's what you get

I thought Bauhaus was annoyingly loud as well, I wasn't particularly interested in their music but damn, it was louder than NIN at some points.

Next thime they come around, you can bet your ass I'll be there. ;D

Out of the few shows I have seen this tour, this was one of the best. The mud pit a couple of friends and I started was amazing. Mad props to everyone in the mud pit. I have never had so much fun in a pit. And that's saying a lot. Unfortunatly my buddy James caught an elbow with his face about ten minutes into the NIN set and had to go to the ER. Lost a couple of teeth(ironically) and busted his lip wide open.

I was very satisfied with NIN. The setlist was great. A close second to the Erie show. Great energy and performance from NIN.

As for Bauhaus, I was very disapointed with thier setlist. I am well versed in thier entire catalog and they could have done a lot better. It was good to hear Severance and Funeral Rose Garden of Sores. Thier show at the Agora last year was much better. And for the Bauhaus fans, I have heard rumor of a US tour this fall after NIN.

And as someone asked earlier, NIN will be releasing a DVD of this tour.

Awesome. Blossom was my fave show overall. I had lawn tickets and i think the lawn was the best time i ever had at a concert. So many awesome ppl coming together to just have a great time.

Erie was great also. I had GA tickets and got messed up. Nothing like losing teeth, but i was bruised up and got banged around a good bit.
Erie had great energy too, but Blossom was the best overall in my NIN tour book.

Did anyone happen to get an audio recording of the show? I was going to record with my phone but it's shitty quality so I didn't :s

Ok, so this show...
I agree, the beer was way tooo expensive. But sure
did good down good!
Missed Peaches cause of rain.
Liked Bauhaus...were their levels too high?? I was to the right of the
stage and maybe the water did something to my ears but it was
just annoyingly loud.
Saw the drunk chick they hauled out of the pit...poor thing...hope she
saw at least some of Nails.
LOVED Somewhat Damaged. Sounded awesome. They did a similiar opening for Fragility...but behind white screen.
Whole night was real good...glad to hear what we did...would have
really been blown away if theyd have played Dead Souls and GDML.
Can not wait till they come around again.
I will be there.
