This show was AWESOME! Thanks Trent for finally coming to Birmingham. I actually liked TV on the Radio a bit more than Bahaus but both where good. Trent was talkative. Trent was quite talkative. During Starfuckers, he said "this is the long version." The first time he talked he said "wow - this is like a real venue... I can actually see all you fuckers." He pointed out someone wearing a "light blue shirt" He also introduced the band, and when he got to Alessandro, he said "Oh and there is this uh...french guy? Alessandro Cortini, after that Alessandro gave him the finger. Trent threw his tambourine, and one of his many mics into the crowd. Water bottles too, not to many broken guitars though, just one at the end of Head Like a Hole. Hope everyone enjoyed the show!

Great setlist, great performance. This was my fourth NIN show, however, and there was just something "off" about the mix tonight. It sounded like they blew a speaker during "Closer", as well. The first half of the set was just not loud enough.

I was sort of disappointed that the band didn't come up with something "special" for 06.06.06, but I shouldn't've been expecting much. They didn't do anything for Halloween, either.

All in all, a very solid performance. It seems like the band is finally rock-solid and it's just in time for them to go into hibernation while TR and Co. cook up the next NIN record. Here's hoping they're back on the road before the rust sets in.

Greatest performance,and set list I've seen in awhile. There was one very luck,and deserving 9 year old boy that was next to us in the front row. Aaron handed his guitar to him after he seen the security guards rip the microphone that TR threw him out his hands.The make up on Jeordie,Josh,and Aaron is getting more dramatic.TR was very talkative last night,and seemed to be somewhat surprised that Birmingham was actually a great crowd,and not the stereotypical redneck hick that they were probably exspecting.Bahaus,and Tv on the radio did an excellent job as well .I have probably over 100 pics that I will have to upload. I will have a select few up in the next few days.Now I'm on to the ATL.

Really great show and even though we had all seats, we had a great time. We were in the fourth row, but I was surprised at how close to the stage we were. We were about 10 feet from the stage. I got a lot of pictures, too, and some video, so I'll post those as soon as I can. We were on Jeordie's side and I couldn't stop cracking up at the faces he was making or his exaggerated poses. The bottom half of his face was painted black. All in all, a really great show and what made my night was hearing "Reptile." Hopefully my video of that turned out well. I also thought that part of the show wasn't very loud. Then again, maybe it was the particular venue? What was that exactly that TR said to a guy in the audience? Something about wearing a "powder-blue button down shirt...(something something)...fags?" Hee, I loved that he called it "powder-blue." He knows his fabric colors. I was as suprised as anyone else that we had such a good crowd in Birmingham. Everyone seemed very much into the music, at least everyone around us. Great show for their first time in Alabama.

Also, the amphitheater shares a parking lot with the Pelham Civic Complex, which was a voting site for primary elections while we were waiting in line on the other side. I loved the contrast of the electorate (mostly Republican, of course) and the NIN fans on the other side. I heard they were pretty nice though and gave out some free water. Damn, it was hot out there!

Some guy wasn't clapping to the beat, trent pointed him out and said something mocking like "clapping is for fags." This was either during or right after Sin I think.

I had crappy seats for this show but it was fun anyway. The lights were fucking awesome. Which song was it where the screen would flash red and trent was in the back doing crazy poses? Awesome.

Please post your videos and pics! I would love to see them to make up that I was there last night but can't go tonight to ATL. This was my 4th NIN show seeing them both in ATlanta and Pensacola and was my first time to the B-ham Verizon Center. I hate to say it but I really hate this arena and will never see a concert there again. I found the staff rude, they treated us like criminals even though my boyfriend and I were the only sober ones in our area which was wayyyyyyy to the back and to the left of stage and quite honestly I could hardly see a damn thing. I made the best of it though and from what I did make out, the light show was awesome by far and my favorite of all the concerts that I've seen. Trent does seem to be getting more talkative each time I see him. He is really funny! I was actually surprised that some of you said that crowd was good becasue where I was everyone around me was talking to each other, on their cell phones, gossiping, making out, having their own drama anything else BUT watch the show. I didnt understand why some people would pay money for NIN and not even watch the show. So from where I was I thought the crowd was not as into it as past crowds plus I just think its wrong to have people in assigned seats and the security guards were on us the whole time about staying in our seats and not standing on the chairs to see. I spent more time having to deal with them it seemd then being able to crane my neck to see Trent. I mean, its a rock concert for God's sake! Assinged seats? No mosh pit?

I was really glad to see that Trent has seemed to gain some more interest than I saw in the last show in Pensacola, he had seemed a little bored with the set I thought (even though it was still great) but last night he was alot more violent with the mic and the guitar smashing after the second song. Aaron was the best I have ever seen him with his stage antics. Oh and by the way, something was wrong with the sound speakers and that is another reason I will never come back to this venue. The sound people were not on top of things and my bfriend and I could talk to each other in regular voices and hear each other which at a NIN concert is not something that should happen. It happened during Bauhous too, the volume went down like 50% and it really pissed me off when it happend during NIN.

It was a great show, not my favorite but only because I have been spoiled in the past by being front and center, but still worth all the trouble to "see" and hear Trent. He is a musical genius.

hey, i went to the show last night and i must say it was an amazing concert. the security guards were totaly nazis and got on my nerves.
we had tickets for section 201, which was on the left side in the 2nd teir. they werent very good seats.
i found a friend in the middle of the 2nd teir and then after tv on the radio started, we continued to move down seats. the security guards were watching people move into different seats all night long. after bauhaus, we found a couple in the vip seats and asked if we could sit with them, they said yes. and we we're hysterical. after somewhat damaged started, the security guards kicked everyone out of the vip seats and told us to find seats in the 1st teir. we ended up walking to the very front of the stage and we got seats about 7ish rows from the stage. i was directly across from aaron.
i had an amazing time. everyone around me was dancing and screaming and having a good time. everyone was into doing the whole trance dancing thing which was odd. but it was awesome. my part of the place smelled allot like pot and ciggs.

the band did an amazing job with the show.
i thought the sound was good, but i was much closer than most people.
i also felt bad for the people far away because the projector screens were horrible. the cameras had the worst shots of the show and you still couldnt see the band very well watching the screen.

i must say the long verison of starfuckers was amazing.

and trent jeordie and aaron were hot as always. haha

Yeah assigned seats always suck. The security guards wouldn't let most people move very far, even during Tv on the Radio and Bauhaus when a lot of rows were still empty. I guess the reason I thought the crowd was alright was that everyone around me (section 103) seemed to be really into it. Then again, that section was made up of a lot of Spiral folks, so that makes sense. I'm working on getting the videos from my cell phone onto the computer (I'll try to do it tonight when I get back from work). The videos aren't great quality, but at least I got something. I wish I could go to the ATL show...damn job...

yeah, they started to not care durring nin, and pretty much as long as you were in a seat and not in the walkway they didnt care.
i saw a few guys get kicked out.
i saw alot of people just walking to the front rows and noone said anything.
after bauhaus ended, you could walk by the guards and they wouldnt check your ticket.
i dunno, maybe i got lucky.

Had kick ass seats about ten rows back. Trent had way to much energy. He first jerked off his water bottle then picked up his mic stand and threw it into the front of the drums two songs into the show (thats why everything was off) The stage hands were constanly fixing the big gaping hole in the front of the drums. Then he later threw is stand at his little water table and sent water flying everywhere. This is what i can remember him saying not direct quotes but close enough

"guy in the button down green shirt with the bear, not clapping, clapping is for fags"

"this is the extended version" for Starfuckers with "Don't You" he kept saying that line like four or five times.

Is it me or was he supposed to sing "something I can never have" but instead he just played the keyboard notes and one of the songs he changed the ending to "because I love her"

WHAT A SHOW!!! This was my 7TH show of the tour! I joined the Spiral immediately when launched but have never posted on there or here, I just enjoy reading posts, setlists, and viewing pics! I am the father of the 8 year old that got Aaron's guitar!!! This was his second time seeing them on the tour, his first was in Atlanta at Phillips on October 27th, but we had seats about 6 rows up off the floor. He watched that show in amazement and afterwards declared NIN is his favorite band! I've also attended VooDoo in Memphis, both Tabernacle shows, Halloween in Nashville (our home), and Knoxville this past March. The floor has always been crowded and can be rough at times, but since B'ham was reserved I was thrilled to land front row seats in Section 102 (center), I knew he would be o.k. here! He watched with the biggest smile and HUGE eyes, and even sang along to most songs. He waved his finger horns for most of the night and I noticed we had eye contact with Trent and Aaron several times during the night. When the mic came his way, he froze as we tried to get him to say "Don't You", or "Thank You Trent" or "Happy 666 Day" and the mic was off. The guy next me tried to unclip it but it was a screw on mic, by then the stage hand that replaces Trent's mic stands jerked it away. The girls on the other side of us said Trent gave that to him, he's been rocking out and singing to all of the songs. Oh well, we were more than thrilled with the set list they played, and being so close. As they closed the show with HLAH, Aaron was right in front of us at the end of the song, and I thought, if he breaks this right here...we might get a small piece, maybe possibly a piece of the neck if he doesn't toss it far, or maybe the bottom unless it stays on the stage, I NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS would have guessed that he would jump over the monitors, climb over the crates at the front of the stage, unplug the guitar, and put it right in my son's hands!!! I say this with all pride, he will NEVER ATTEND A BETTER SHOW IN HIS LIFE!!! He will remember this moment and cherish it forever, as I will for him too. He has wore the guitar around his neck for most of the day, and has just kept saying, I can't believe I got NIN's guitar. I can't believe it!!! He has been careful turning corners in the hallway and going downstairs because he says he doesn't want to bang it up, and when he gets older he says he will pass it on to kids and then hopes they will pass it on to their kids, how cool is that!!! He probably posed for 10 to 15 people that wanted to make his picture with it and he did for everyone! We had a couple of people that kept on following us saying I'll give you $300, $400, $500, how about $800. What if we went to bank and I got out a thousand? I gave them the same answer everytime, I'm sorry, it is not for sale, even my son kept saying no. I said, to me you just can't put a pricetag on that and I would not want to, if you offered $5000 we're not taking it, It is too sentimental and it is going home with us, and as I said he will probably never attend another show and be this lucky again. We had the time of our life!!! My first NIN show was on Lollapalooza 1991 and they have been one of my faves ever since! I'll try to post a picture of him with his prized possession!!!

aWWWW MAN...AWESOME ASS SHOW. I FOUND MY TICKETS ON EBAY BUT GOT REALLY SHITTY ONES IN THE 303 SECTION. WITH THE WEIRD GUYS...HOWEVER, WE MANAGED TO GET DOWN TO THE 202 SECTION IN FRONT OF THE SOUND TENT SO THAT WAS PRETTY BADASS. YEAH PROPS TO ALL WHO CAME BY. THIS WAS MY THIRD SHOW COMING ALL THE WAY FROM P-COLA FL. ROCK ON NIN!

The show was so amazing. My friends and I were in the 5th row and we could have sworn Trent told the drunk guy in the green shirt something about his beer being gay, then he seemed to say something like "Don't look at me like that." I dunno, that's what we thought and it was pretty freaking hilarious. I seriously doubt that dude had a clue what was going on. There were alot of trashed pretty boys around and the ticket bitches pissed me off. Still good show. Anyone know what the deal was with the argument at the end of the 5th row about halfway through?! I heard yelling all the way from the other end, looked funny.

We were in 201. the seats weren't the best but, it was still an AWESOME show. Hurt was the best! We would've paid our tickets then some just for that one song.

This show was awesome! It was my fifth show and I went with my man which made it even better. La Mer almost made me pass out.
