MIGHT be a little out of order.

the show was so fucking awesome. definitely the best ive seen out of the 3 times this year. highlights include Non-Entity, and it was the best Terrible Lie i had seen. Alessandro threw a synth across the stage and Aaron threw it in the crowd. Water bottles were thrown and kicked into the audience. Get Down Make Love was the best by far. Trent threw Aaron down and fucked him up for a bit, screamed his lungs out, and danced around the stage. Pretty cool. The visuals were great and the weird mall store entrancy bar things were fucking sweet and the LEDs on them were awesome. Sound was BEAUTIFUL. Into the Void was a nice little treat...

BUT

My dashing young friend of mine was walking around buying a beer where he noticed a young man with long black hair and a bandana in his back pocket. He REALIZED it was none other than fucking Aaron North. The dashing young friend of mine told him he was "fucking awesome" and that he was "excited to see the show". Aaron fucking North then said "Good I hope you have a great time" and while he was walking away the dashing young friend of mine said "I love Robin Finck but youre an excellent replacement" and he said "thank you man i appreciate it" very sincerely and walked away into the crowd of people, a faceless nobody wandering in the mist. Nobody recognized him. pretty crazy.

side note: he really wanted to ask Aaron if Jeordie was around because another friend of mine had seen him earlier.

Best show ever. Trent thanked us for being a great audience. ah. priceless.

excellent show. i believe suck came before reptile, but i could be quite wrong.

I must say that I did not enjoy this setlist as much as the one on the Phillips Arena show last October. About the only thing that blew my mind was the concert version of Non-Entity. I've only seen the boombox+piano version he did on TV a while ago, and I was impressed then... but this was bloody brilliant!

I have been avoiding this forum for a while so that I don't know the setlist before the show... I am really disappointed with the lack of Every Day is Exactly The Same and The Line Begins To Blur (my two favorites off WT). I saw a clip on youtube of the live EDIETS from earlier this year, and I was really looking forward to experiencing it in person.

Is it just me or have they have cut down the visuals? I can only think of a couple of times the visuals grabbed my attention (Closer and when they had stars/fireballs/orange drops/whatever up).

7 The show last night at HifiBuys Lakewood Amphitheatre in Atlanta was fucking great. I didn't have a ticket until about 5:30pm day of show...I got lucky, but I am really glad I was there. I've been to shows in multiple cities on each leg of this tour [starting in early 2005], so I was really going to hate myself if I missed this show...my favorite band playing in my hometown.

2 The setlist posted earlier looks spot on. I was relieved that "Get Down Make Love" was played [grew up with my parents listening to Queen all the time], and will never be upset with a Pretty Hate Machine/Broken heavy setlist. I was concerned because neither "Non-Entity" nor the Queen cover were preformed the previous night in Alabama. But, they did get "The Big Come Down," which I love...but I'll trade that for Get Down Make Love and the amazing light show any day! Also, REPTILE WAS A FUCKING MONSTER. Perfectly executed...a "barnburner" in the set.

6 I was surprised at the lack of "With Teeth" material and definitely would have liked to hear "Every Day is Exactly the Same"...and for all the shows on this tour I've seen....still haven't heard "AwithAteethA," so...maybe in another 5-6 years. Goddamnit.

1 I liked the visual and hearing the interesting synthy adaptation of "Help Me I Am In Hell"....but wouldn't most of us like to hear this incarnation of Nine Inch Nails rip through "Happiness in Slavery" directly following that song? The recordings I've heard of that song live in the past have mostly been very track-heavy [not as much live performance of instruments from the band], but I think Reznor and present company could tear the shit apart.

4 The keyboard launch and dual-aggrevation between Aaron and Alessandro during Head Like a Hole was great. Very visceral, good energy---and after walking away from my seat [I was in section 102, row N, who cares haha], I heard 3-4 ATL police officers, 2-3 security guards and the man who apparently caught and tried to keep the keyboard talking/arguing. What a crock....my opinion? let the man keep it. Would security come and wrestle you for guitar picks, drumsticks, guitar necks that are tossed into the crowd? I don't fucking think so. Aaron went the fuck off at the end of Head Like a Hole...I wish that Reznor would have joined in, but he was somewhat subdued last night. The front of the audience was fairly mellow too----so I could understand his lack of anger/aggression towards instruments and bandmates. Why aren't these concerts more unpredictable and dangerous anymore?

5 I look forward to seeing what NIN plays in other towns on the rest of the tour...and what Reznor is going to do with the assloads of video footage he has from the With Teeth 2005 & 2006 tours. Let's hope for a double-live record, in 7.1 surround of course, and a 2-DVD set. who's with me?!?! In conclusion, Nine Inch Nails IS the band on the cutting edge of live sound, lights, and overall visual/audio production. I was very impressed with Peter Murphy and Bauhaus, though I didn't know many of the songs. Can anyone recommend a few of their best CDs or a Greatest hits? I liked what they played last night. Melodramatic and down-trodden as it was. hehe I know more of Peter Murphy's solo career. TV on the Radio was great too...very thick guitar sound; I look forward to picking up some of their records.

Thanks once again Alessandro, Aaron, Josh, Trent, and Jeordie---in two years now, you haven't let me down yet. Rock!

Show was INCREDIBLE! The light show was CRAZY good, the band kicked ass, the people attending...GREAT! I was in section 102 Row V and was so afraid of being stepped on but hell, I think I was the one stepping and wacking people by jumping up and down so much! Bauhaus was FANTASTIC. Peter Murphy was a diva! Trent and crew played a tight AMAZING set. It was so good that I convinced my friend that we are going to Charlotte to see them one more time! Woohooo! Missed TV though. We thought the show started at 8:00....so I hopefully will see them in good ole' N.C.!!!!

Amazing show.

Section 102, Row E

The openers rocked. I was VERY impressed with TV On the Radio, having never heard them before.

I hadn't really heard Bauhaus before either, but they had a very fun set as well. Peter Murphy is some kind of gothic vampire David Bowie and somehow, that works. His melodrama and theatrics really push it over the top. I loved it. I'll also give them best Sax driven performance of 2006. About half-way through their set, I realized the bass player was using a fretless bass. That guy was awesome.

I like the new visuals. Those suffering from epilepsy need not apply. Only is crazy now. It really makes up for the old Only visual, which I enjoyed, but thought it could have been more. The new visuals melt face.

Speaking of melting faces, La Mer/Into the Void thoroughly melted mine.

Alessandro and Jeordie made liberal use of black face paint during the beginning of the show. Jeordie looked as if he had a beared and wore some kind of do-rag or bandanna over his head. He looked like some kind of pirate/longshoreman. Alessandro had his whole face covered save for an area around his eyes. He looked like some kind of ninja. They appeared to wipe it all off during a break between songs about half-way through the show. Josh Freese also had streaks of it smeared over his body again.

Trent fell down during MotP and almost looked like he hit his head on one of the light fixtures. Rob was right there to take a snapshot. Was kind of funny once I realized he wasn't hurt.

I almost got the keyboard that Aaron tossed into the audience. I managed to touch it. It stopped one row early when it hit this poor girl in the row in front of me in the head. It looked like it hurt and you could see a mark where it hit her, but she seemed ok for the most part. One of the guys from her group caught it. It was awesome...until two guys, one from event security and one from band security, showed up to take it away. He wasn't giving it up, so they got the police. I thought that was pretty bullshit.

So, let that be a lesson to us all: You catch a keyboard, run like hell.

A few people seemed to mention Aaron walking around incognito. He was apparently giving orders out to pull out the folding chairs they had set up in the "pit" area. Unfortunately the chairs remained in place.

Looking forward to the next tour.

Oh yes... I loved TV On The Radio! But few in the crowd seemed excited about them (ok so there weren't many at that time, but still...).

People seemed more excited about Bauhaus... found them a bit dull myself to be honest... I was yawning.

absolutely great show. i found it refreshing to hear so many of the older tracks.
does anyone have any ideas about the 2 girls walkin around in the black and pink lingerie? it looked like they had a bodyguard with them and it all seemed a bit odd

Ya, I saw those girls....they were sitting in the Box Seats I believe in the House of Blues section. Did anyone see the older guy dressed all in black in section 102. He was ROCKIN' out to Bauhaus. Loved it!

I have to say, that was the best fucking show I've been to.

Can't wait to see them again soon.

6th show of 2005-2006, and the show was excellent. It definitely sucked that it was all seating, but oh well. Nice to hear some older tunes especially get down make love! I was also glad to hear somewhat damaged which the US for the most part missed out on in fragility v2.0 Visuals were awesome as always i was hoping the bar lights in front of the stage would be stable and strong enough for trent to climb on them

so i took the marta in with my friend time, pretty early. we got to the amphitheatre at somewhere around 6.30, and caught the very last minute of the pony girls. there were four of them, one blonde, one black girl, one darkhaired, and one gothic looking girl. i liked that show.. so we're just kind of sitting around and i start noticing we're just about 15 years below the averege age, kinda wierd but i guess that's what i get. i bought a t-shirt, the white one with the bombs on it. the merch store was really really expensive, 30 bucks for a t-shirt, 20 for the litho, 10 for the tour poster, 65 for the sweaters, which by the way, were awesome, and like 3 bucks for all the small shit.

on my ticket it said the show was gonna start at 8 but around 7 tv on the radio started their thing. they were pretty good actually. kind of experimental stuff but it sounded good. then bauhaus came on. some people actually looked like they were only there to see bauhaus, up and dancing and shit. couldn't help noticing the woman in a black dress dancing contantly during their whole show, doing the same dance all the time. neither could i help noticing the guy doing the lights for the first two shows. he had his own little dance moves. my seats were right behind the soundboard which meant i could lean against the rail and have a perfect view against the scene, with nothing in the way. so bauhaus was pretty good and kind of special, in their own way. the guy on the guitar wore a white fur vest, white enormous shades and a pony-tail.

Now, the longest 30 minutes of my life. waiting for nin to begin. i saw them last summer at a festival in sweden, but since it was a festival it was more like a "greatest hits" kinda thing with no cool light show. plus i was in the mosh pit so i actually didn't see much of the band at all. So as i was sitting i could feel the exitement grow as they were setting the scene. 4 giant television screens was hanging vertically in the background with really strong lights between them. and all of a sudden this fence looking thing comes down in 5 pieces. I'm like what the fuck, is that for security reasons or what the hell is going on. notice that i haven't read any of the reviews of the earlier shows this tour. it looked like the net they pull down at stores in front of the windows when it's closed. Now i'm sitting wondering what the fuck that thing is, still just waiting for the show to begin. since we sat right behind the soundboard, my friend asked some old guy when the show was gonna start. "any minute" was the response. "we're having some trouble with the keyboard". i'm like wow, any minute. longest fucking "any minute" of my life. then suddenly i hear a sound much stronger than the music they play between the band, which was still on, and i hear people start screeming and clapping. then i hear "so impressed with all you do" and i go crazy. the lights were still on, and the net was still down, thats when i understand that the nets was gonna be there for the show. 20 seconds into the song they turn the lights off. somewhat damaged was incredible live. instead of like the song on te fragile where everything just builds on and the song gets heavier and heavier, the live version kind of bounced back and forth between slow and really heavy. the first 6 songs were just unbelievable. then closer came. now the nets had gone up and only the middle one was going down. the screens in the backround had red shit on them and the net thinghad red light streaming downward. of course, closer had the best response from the audience, second best was hurt. highlights include Somewhat Damaged, Terrible Lie, Non Entity (even though i was just about the only one in my section that new the lyrics), Only, Get Down Make Love and Head Like A Hole. i was really exited to hear la mer but it turned out to be little of a disappointment. it was very weak compared to the fragility 2.0 version, but all that was overshadowed when it ran right into Into the Void.

This show was probably one of the highlights of my life and i had such a blast.

Recording went OK. I was right under the speaker which was good but was also right next to about 4 different security guards whic made checking levels a bit risky so my levels are a bit too high. Once I get back from Bonnaroo next weekend ill start to edit down some of my nin shows from this week.

I'm having a hard time comparing this to Phillips Arena, both were incredible, this one seemed to go by faster, and the visuals were slightly more amazing (amazinger) at Phillips Arena mainly because of Beside You In Time, though they did some really cool things here (like The Only Time outro to Closer). I will say the band was as good possibly better than ever (even Fragility 2.0), Trent was fucking flawless, best I've ever seen him, same with Aaron North. I also saw Aaron North walking around outside before the show, no one fucking recognized him... I didn't go talk to him, that sucks. Of the 4 shows I've been to, the highlights of this show were Wish (I thought it was the best time I've ever seen them play it) and La Mer into Into The Void... I also liked how Trent completely surprises the shit out of you with Somewhat Damaged, just basically runs out there and starts singing when you think they're still setting up, and it was great hearing it live. Trent is a fucking beast.

i think he meant the guy right next to me...he was prolly in his 50's. he was by himself while he was doing the majority of his dancing and left after bauhaus. since he was standing right next to me, i got a good look. row s of 102, right in the middle. bob.

She was up there on the rail the whole time doing the horns when Peter noticed her. I believe he was asking her something along the lines of "Do you know what evil is?" and went on from there. Then he picked up some roses and acted like he was going to give them to her, but hit her in the hands at the last second.

i think he was actually giving the girl shit for holding up her hands in the traditional rock position, you know with the pinky and the first finger up in the air. he seemed pissed and said something like " no fuck that ...." and that proceeded to say something about her not knowing her own identity for doing that.

the wife and i got to the venue early, but at 650 when we went through the gates, tv on the radio was already playing their set. caught part of it and what we heard was good. much more punk than their sound on 'desperate youth, bloodthirsty babes'. lots of energy and they were interacting well with what crowd was there.

bauhaus was the real reason we went to the show....seen nin MANY times over the years and this was the fourth time since WT came out last year (atlanta 2x, san antonio, and knoxville)...so seeing nin again was not the impetus...it was to see/hear bauhaus. and they were awesome! i am amazed at how good peter murphy still sounds. his voice was solid, strong, and pitch perfect. wow! they played many old favorites and the 2 new songs were great. peter's histrionics with the girl in the front row were interesting, but we didn't catch all of what happened from our seats in 202. daniel ash looked/sounded awesome, david j was spot-on with his fretless bass, and kevin haskins was fantastic on drums. a great set from them. wish we could've made the trip to see them at the tabby a few months ago, but our wedding overruled it. hopefully they'll stay together for a while, make a new cd, and tour again soon!

nin was very good as well. the new light-cage was cool and (as always) the lights were top notch. the best effect of the night was for help me i'm in hell but it was SUCH A TEASE to not hear happiness in slavery after it. hearing somwhat damaged, sicnh, la mer, into the void, and get down make love were quite nice additions to an overdone set. those were the highlight for us...along with motp, burn, reptile, and suck. knowing that hurt, hand that feeds, and head like a hole round out the show, we decided to leave before 'head' to beat the traffic. the song has been done to death and i cannot fathom how the band is not tired of closing with it for every show for the last 15+ months.

don't get me wrong, we love nin and all, but some of the 'classics' should be retired for a while. with such a rich catalogue, why not bring out some gems like last, happiness in slavery, ringfinger, ruiner, the becoming, witt, great below, piggy, mr self destruct, the big comedown, etc and leave out tired songs like sin, head like a hole, and the poor live version of only. maybe it's just because this touring band is so guitar driven and we are so enamoured of the nin band being very synth/track driven live shows of the self detruct and fragility tours. oh well.

pretty good show, setlist was weak seeing how it contained suck, gave up, reptile, sin and some others they've played EVERY damn show for the past year (3 tours). So anyway, it would have made my night for them to maybe just once play something they never play. Into the void is nice to see on the tour....do they not realize how nice it would be to go into Happiness in slavery from Help me i'm in hell??!?! Oh well...there's a lot we will never see. Sucks to be nin fan sort of.

if you don't go to every fucking nin show you wont hear every fucking song every time. most people, like me, enjoy hearing those songs, which is why trent made the setlist like that; some old, some new to satisfy everyone's ears. besides this was the first show for this tour they played Reptile. if it sucks for you to be a nin fan then why are you still listening to nin.

This was my fifth show so far. Prolly the last one for this tour. I would like to thank ATL for being such a great place to see a show. Good people over there, and Trent said it was "an honor" to play for us. Bauhaus was freaking GREAT this show. Sound was good. Performance was spectacular. I saw the "older dude" rocking out to them as well. Were we all in 102? By far the best seats I've had for any of the shows I have seen this year.

I heard this interview that Trent said that he personally didn't like The Perfect Drug and he probably would never play it live.. who knows? i say play it!!!

yea, he also said that we were "a great fucking audience". yea get down make love was definetely a blast, seeing trent humping Aaron, haha.

the funny thing is... you all complain about sin being played too much, and this is the first time ive heard it played. ive seen for NIN shows... the second atlanta show (yes, i know it was played at the first) and jacksonville and phillips in the fall arena tours. so even though it does get played quite a bit, it was a first for some of us. honestly, if i could pick a song to get wiped off the setlists for awhile it would be burn. that song gets played wayyyy too much, and its not even a classic like terrible lie

I have seen NIN 2x on the with teeth tour...once on the fragile....once on the downward spiral tour...and another way too long ago to remember...the show at HIFI buys was by far the best i have ever seen them on stage....amazing...i thought Trent alone on LaMer was amazing....great intro to Into the Void...Aaron North is amazing on stage...jeordie was moving...they were wrecking gear...it was great...loved the lighting....the venue....the vibe....Bauhaus was great...TV on the radio blew my mind...i got their disc and was not sure what to think....now that i have seen them live....i am feeling the disc...amazing show all the way around...

Yeah, they started off the show in Dallas the same way...lights on. I thought they screwed the lighting cue until I saw it in ATL too.

No that was not me talking...it was some drunk asshole who feels the need to talk thru an entire show. Ill post the rest of the mp3s on my website sometime this week. I just got back from Charlotte and Raleigh and need some much needed sleep.

Hehe i was on the front row...the little red head who got sick when NIN came on yea...that was me...unfortunately but i switched places with the rock hands girl and i saw the whole thing...Peter came up and i thought he was going to give her the flowers and so did she...but when he came down to give them to her...she was still doing the rock hands and (this is EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED) he swooped down and hit her on the the hands a couple of times with the flowers and said no don't do it that way..i don't want to hand fingers just one...the old way..but she kept on doing it heh...i have tons of pictures i will put them on here later...i don't have any of NIN from Atlanta because i got sick and dropped my phone...so when i wasn't blowing chunks i was going nuts with everyone on the first row....
