Oh, for shame!

Per Timinator's instructions in the now locked Upcoming NIN Shows thread before he went to bed:

Most of the rest of TDS came out, too, just like Wednesday and one of the Portugal shows. I'm glad I got "Last" again, too. I've decided I really like "Survivalism" live, but not so much "Only".

Trent's voice was great, he seemed intense. The band was pretty much spot on. Not so much nonsense from Aaron tonight, I thought, just focusing on the playing.

I thought it sounded great. The whole experience was just tops. I was only a few metres back from the barrier tonight, much closer than Wednesday, and was in the middle of some heavy mosh action a few times. That was good tonight, it was good to be sweaty, jumping, pumping, dancing, in the thick of it for a night. I'll be old again tomorrow night.

I can see where people who went on the 7th thought the 8th lacked something. This was the band firing on all cylinders... a big improvement in the setlist helped I think. It just didn't really let up.
I thought the sound started a bit shaky, guitars too low, but it picked up after a while. Tomorrow has a lot to live up too now!

This show was just about as good as the Wednesday show. Definitely a DS night. I was a bit bummed that he didnt play TBCD. If he doesnt perform that tomorrow, Wednesday would be the only night that is played. I dont know if its been discussed already, highlights of that night other than a great setlist, I had the feeling Trent got pissed at something at the end of LaMer cause he's started pounding on the keyboard before he tossed it over and then threw a water bottle at someone behind him. Either that or he was just caught in the moment. I'm a little incoherent, so I'm going to bed now.

Totally sucked, what a terrible setlist... Nah, just kidding. I've never heard them better, and if the crowd had bothered to move (although everyone did seem to be into it), the show might have rivalled the intensity of the Astoria comeback a couple of years ago. The unexpected Dead Souls, grinding Reptile, bounce-along Only and ferocious Wish/Gave Up were the highlights. Nice to see TR in a good mood, acknowledging "some familiar faces" and dispensing water to the crush - although the keyboard-heaving at the end of La Mer looked genuine (I thought it was The Frail but it's hard to keep track when your flabber is being gasted). To the poster who complained about goths the other day, I've never seen so few at a NIN show. Where have they all gone? Needn't have bothered dragging on the eyeliner and New Rocks. Finally, thanks to the possibly E'd up gal who kissed me during Wish - you made a great night even better!

It was another great night. I crawled from my sick bed to attend, so stood some way back away from a press of people but I had a fantastic view and, for once, could see the entire band!

Trent had so much energy and it was fun. I had the advantage of some space, so was dancing away in my own little world. Highlights were Heresy, The Becoming, The Frail/La Mer/Into the Void, HMIAIH/Eraser and Dead Souls. It was worth going just to hear Dead Souls (it made me cry but I blame this on the fact I am ill and feeling weird - anyway.)

This means I will have to go along again tonight, I suppose!

My first nine inch nails gig, and it was really great. very close to the front on the right ,with a great group of friends.

It was a great gig, and though i cannot compare to other nin gigs, i thought i was reaslly tight, great set list indeed. got a hi-def recording of mr. selfdestruct leading into piggy, great video. also a video of hmiaih and eraser...asmazing!!!

So guy with bald head at the front tried biting my arm at one point as i leant to grab a water bottle...i really should have decked him...i'm angry i didn't.

But forgot about that really quickly, and has a great night!!!

Were there any flyers/keys given out? I nearly got a good poster, but it got ruined whilst moshing. Nevermind.

The best nin gig out of 4 ive been to, Hurt was the most intense ive ever seen it performed, all i needed was the big comdown and witt to make it perfect....allin all the concert kicked the shit out of thursday...and the crowd was very cool, some crazy scottish guy kept making me laugh just due to his sheer balls out delirium....it was close to being the best gig ive attended, actualy no it was...haha aaron was fun to watch as ever i loved seeing him playing head like a hole with his feet at the end...and the sound was top notch...i cant wait to see some bottlegs...ill post a more indepth review later...my fav live nin song has got to be 'no, you dont'.

Great gig, but nowhere near as good as Birmingham. I thought Trent put a huge amount of effort into both shows, but for some reason it didnt click last night as well as it usually does.

Saw them there last night. Best gig i have ever been to, was totally unbelievable. I loved it so much.

They didnt play Deep, Sin, Terrible Lie or the Fragile which was a shame, but Eraser, Reptile, Gave up and La Mer all made appearances. In fact it was a lot of the downward spiral actually. Survivalism made an appearance too.

Too much stuff from the downward spiral.

BEST NIN SHOW EVER!!! Loved the setlist! Amazing! They read my mind and played ALL MY FAVES!!!!

Well the thing to do was to go to a few shows then you get shitloads of songs!
I am really pissed off that I didn't arrange to go to tonight's show as well as the last three, so I am moping about feeling sorry for myself. Mind you I am totally fucking knackered from it all.

I think I should work out before the next tour so I have some stamina to go to more of the shows!!!!

OK, so I'd better add my version of a review.
I think my heart stopped a few times with that particular setlist and I am still hoarse from shouting along atonally like a moron (except during Hurt). I think I even shamed myself this time.

The girl sitting next to me kept yelping and 'whoo'ing and announced to me how excited she was and shouted 'I'VE HAD THIS TICKET FOR FOUR MONTHS', I thought she was going to land on me. Then she took my shitty singing as a cue to outdo me and murder each song in the nicest possible way.

I think that means it was bloody amazing.

Trent seemed to trip up quite a few times at the beginning unless that was a bit of Scottish dancing and once again Jeordie kept missing the swinging lightpulls during Eraser.

How can someone say there was too much off The Downward Spiral? Some people would have killed for that.

Amazing. That was my third and last show for the tour and second night on the barrier, and well worth it.
I think everyone was completely hyped up thinking they were going to play the entire The Downward Spiral so it was a bit of a disappointment after that bit ended, but it was still fucking amazing. The band seemed to really give everything into it, and that goes double to Trent's performance.
Even though it didn't have as many of my favourites like Wednesday's had, it was a better show overall.
I think I'm still on my high from after the show. : )

I was in the mosh pit for a while, and the guys and girls in there were great fun to be with.

Also, I was the dude shouting "ART IS RESISTANCE!" at random intervals. I managed to get one in before Survivalism and I'm sure Trent looked my way.

Great setlist, because TDS is my favourite album, and hearing Last was amazing because it's by far my favourite song from Broken with Help Me I'm In Hell a close not far behind - and it was great to see that too.

Highlights of the night for me were Mr Self Destruct, March Of The pigs, Eraser, Into The Void and Survivalism for me.

I'm back in this shitheap Cornwall now, but it's all cool. I'm back sporting some great memories.

If they're coming back round in the summer like ol' T. Rez says, then I'll see you all there again.

But yeah, the gig was amazing. First time for me too. Bit too much TDS for my liking, but still a great experience. Not many people seemed to sing along to survivalism though, which made me feel *speshal*.

best show of the tour - best setlist and best crowd - fucking immense from start to finish, possibly the best gig I've seen from this line-up.

fantastic setlist, fantastic performance, fantastic crowd, fantastic atmosphere, fantastic experience.

a strong contender for the best nin show i've ever been to - and i've been to 18

I know I'm in a minority when I say this, but Wednesday's show still comes above this one for me. I think because I had a camera (though it's not the fault of the girl behind me - there was a big crush on her) being pushed very hard into my upper spine, I had a bit of trouble getting into the show properly. That's actually the most pain I've had caused to me at a NIN show. I managed to get into it near the end after she was pulled out, but as I say it's not her fault, as she wasn't intent on causing me pain.

I wanna say a big thanks to the American crowd who were behind us, you make crowd crushes comfortable. So if you're reading this - Cheers!

Setlist was absolutely dreamy, and I will admit to being one of the people who practically rocket propelled as 5 songs were played from TDS, in order, consecutively. I think there was a massive sigh when The Becoming fired up instead of Ruiner, but then The Becoming live is fucking awesome so any percieved disappointment was short lived (from me at least).

I have to say, I am ADORING the Help me I am in Hell/ Eraser appearence every night. God, it's so bloody awesome. It's a delight night after night, for sure!

I can't help laugh during Closer now. Sorry, Trent, you're looking all intense, and I just can't keep it serious.

I hadn't written it down before, but you're right: I fucking loved that bit too. It was the most intense part of the shows.

Preferred this night to Thursday, even though Thursday was my first nin concert, so it was still damn cool to me...
The setlist was brilliant, i had a feeling there would be alot of TDS stuff, not that i'm complaining! and the band played brilliantly
When Trent came down to the audience i think i strained every muscle in my body, aswell as being crushed by everyone - being the smallest person near the front proved to be tough, and my AIR top was all smudged and got pink hair dye all over it and basically got wrecked... but it was all worth it!!!!

So I have to agree with about 90% of the others here. Solid, strong setlist left little to be desired... in fact, this may well have been the best setlist I've heard at a show to date.

I haven't seen it posted yet, so I feel I should mention that Alessandro joined Ladytron for their final song (I have no idea what it's called). I'm not sure exactly what he was doing, but it was something in the back. He looked cheerful to be up there. Then again, maybe it's not been posted as it's done every show, I wouldn't know.

this was definitely the best out of 5 attended NIИ-gigs so far... why?

the setlist was fuckin ace! pitty they left ruiner out, that would have been the tip of the iceberg, but hey... too happy to have heard heresy!!!!

i think the band works perfectly together by now, better than 2 years ago, and that is what was expected!

also i quite liked the movement on stage, trent was almost dancing there, funny fucker...

the sound was brilliant and i had a soundengineer with me, so i guess i can calmly say that!

highlights: the bit of most wonderful ad libitum starting from the frail fading into la mer in the most harmonic ways
anyway all the keyboard playing, from slowing it down in order to show some freedom of performance and devotion to music itself developing into hard playing up to fists, and well i don't care about throwing things...
hurt was thatfore the best version i've ever heard...
the becoming and heresy!!!! also no, you don't although i would have preferred TBCD
eraser-reptile is just a huge fuckin pleasure!!!!

i'm just fed up with one little thing: the lighting... where are the lights from underneath gone? i didn't see much light on jeordie or alessandro! and all this white over white over strobes... i used to love it hey! but i wouldn't mind to see more of the concentration in the bands faces, while enjoying and celebrating the music!

however, i'm pleased! looking forward to more shows soon!

Did anyone record this gig and if so can it be uploaded. I swear I read someone said it was recorded also in its complete entirety (is that a word - swear it is). Fantastic gig, except the girl behind us making that awful noise.

And that girl on the bar during Ladytron, irritated me - as well as the saminess of Ladytron.

But NIN, oh fuck yes. First time (due to someone lost the ticket in 05), so I am happy... Wish Ruiner was played, when they played the first tracks in order of DS, I assumed (making an ass out of me) that it was Ruiner to follow Closer... But no. Extatic, but it could of been better if Ruiner was played.

Loved Survivalism, Last, Heresy... ALL OF IT. The piano throwing after La Mer was priceless.

I did love my Downward Spiral fix. Oh yes. And Trent shoving the mic in my face during Piggy. Hilarity given that I was grabbing it thinking someone else in the crowd was holding it only to have Trent rip it back. Good times (not Good Times, which were hilarious in an entirely different fashion).

This was the best show I've seen out of the 13 times I've seen them. It was just fucking incredible. I was a tad disappointed that they didn't go into the Downward Spiral in it's entirety as I would have LOVED to hear Big Man With A Gun, but we got Last and Dead Souls so I was over the moon. Well fucking done Trent, this was an awesome show, totally made up for the shitty 8th. Keep it up.
