they started with mr. self destruct, then came the usual suspects eraser, survivalism, burn, motp, the wretched, hurt, sicnh, la mer, thtf, heresy, closer, only, no you don't... not complete, but the most significant.
the crowd was great, i think nin really appreciated it.
the sound was awesome too, well balanced.
my limbs hurt, but that's what i came for. loved it. can't wait till next time.

Though I was worried by the Spiral members I could get me a nice and comfy place near Jeordie and Trent -> perfect view on everyone except North and for that I am glad!

Trent was in pretty good condition doing what he does best. Jeordie kept staring at the left side, still an awesome show and my second favorite of all time right after NIN's fragility show 8 years ago!

I was sooo hoping for MSD and the wretched and got 'em! Too bad they did not play "the big come down", but that's okay as long as I could see "the wretched"... just "ruiner" was missing in order to complete my personal Downward Spiral best of!

Long story short - amazing show and basically "unreal" just like every NIN show seems to be! Unfortunately it seems like concerts today are floated by people who just know 2-3 songs (the singles of course) and don't know the lyrics to the rest of the catalogue! oh well...

And a big *thumbs up* for Ladytron! They really were a surprise! I have seen many not so well known or new comer opening bands and they are among the best I ever witnessed playing! Great job! Awesome night!

please hand out shotguns at future concerts, so i one can shoot all the fucking morons that crowdsurf and almost kick people their teeth out, mosh, or just bang their dreads... a imo very great setlist ruined by some stupid people that always seemed to follow me when i changed positions

What a great show and what a fantastic opening! tool was pretty bad at zenith so i was scared, but last night rocked! nin was great, the sound was great and the audience was great - no hostility but pure fun of being there.

Really great show! I'll post some pics later. Though I missed "Terrible lie", "Piggy", "Beside you in time", "Down in it" and "The day the world went away" (and I hoped for WITT so much), the setlist was perfect. Every song was great, I especially liked the energy of "Survivalism".

amazing show! trent was really powerful and gave everything, ladytron were really fine too, liked the two sweet girls.
to hear "something i can never have" was a big surprise, great great song. other favorites of mine were "wish", "head like a hole" and "heresy".
i was in 3rd, 4th row right in front of trent and could catch a pick at the end, missed the drumsticks and the tambourine, but touched them at least

Anyway, great great show! I noticed user 1crazybitch put some short cuts from there on youtube.

Definitely the worst show within last few days. Bad sound (blame the fucking venue) awful crowd of drunken idiots. Hearing The Beginig of The End was cool.
North sucks.

This show was dissapointing:

1. Lame audience. I have attended the March 24 show in Berlin and people went cracy jumping right with the first song somewhat damaged... people in Munich seemed rather bored: no atmosphere.

2. Lame show. This show is right for a small club like the Columbia Theater in Berlin. But it seems ridiculous in a larger forum like the Zenith. NIN needs to come back with visuals.

3. Bored band... No hello, no good-bye. In Berlin they promised the audience to be back with the YZ tour soon... maybe not in Munich...

4. Can someone tell me why Germans always have to clap their hands to the takt of songs like hurt or la mer? This is not the Oktoberfest... And I think Trent was pissed. Someone noticed he changed the speed of songs in these cases until people lost the takt? E.g. when playing la mer he went really slow and then really fast until people lost it and stopped clapping...

Well, to say something good in the end... this was a NIN concert so of course I was delighted and enjoyed it as always... I guess it is just the details

How come? It was absolutely chaotic and it almost felt the the wall of the noise. Though Eraser sounded really good in this dirrection most of the rest was completely ruined by the sound.

I dont know, the clapping is kind of a sign of appreciation, the crowd is into the music and focused on it. A lot of times it will create a link and connection with the band and the music. In vienna it was fabulous, the first night in vienna was when I really understood the hype about Hurt (never got into it before really).

Moreover, to say Trent doesnt like it when he himself animates people to clap along during songs is a bit ignorant. I think he likes it just fine if people clap along.

There really are only three ways to express your appreciation of a performance during a concert. Jump, yell or clap.

Audiences the world over clap during NIN; it's not a German phenomenon.

As long as no one is clapping in my ear I find it fitting.
