What a great concert! The last song was from our new album which comes out... I don't know, in two weeks or so, but you can steal it as of today!
I wasn't at the show, so i am actually not allowed to react to this post, but i will anyways.SaMcee wrote:Setlist is right.
I was surprised that he announced a new song (after "The beginning..." and "Survivalism" were already played). But then, they played "a very old song": "Suck".
All in all an AMAZING show, 10 times better than Munich. I had the feeling, they had much more fun playing tonight.. though the "Hurt-thing" sucked, yeah...
On the one hand, I'm ashamed of some German NIN-fans. He interrupted the song and they screamed even louder and totally didn't get it. But on the other hand, the people spent a lot of money on that concert and if they just have to scream, so let 'em scream. And when 'your' "Hurt" is not allowed to be "interrupted" like that, then just don't play it. In my opinion, he overreacted a little bit in being so angry afterwards to the whole crowd ("So now you can scream your cocks off...--> "The hand that feeds"). The "screamers" weren't all of them. It was such an amazing show, but it left me with a little disappointment. But to make it clear, the "screamers" annoyed me at most.
To the show: Really amazing. I'm so happy they played WITT. AND "Piggy". AND "Reptile". Until "Hurt", everything was full of power. I enjoyed Munich too, but this was REALLY outstanding.
I don't think it's a "german" thing. And it also is a "NIN/Hurt" thing. I made the experience that these annoying people turn up everywhere. They're clapping during songs when there's absolutely NOTHING to clap about and scream while they should shut up.Me I´m not wrote:I wasn´t at the show either but i´m annoyed of these fucking jerks how screamed while hurt. They give the german fans a bad reputation and maybe trent does not want come to germany often anymore
exactly. i mean, don't they even scream on both live dvds? it's nothing new to the band... and before that incident trent seemed very happy with the crowd. he said sth like "it's great to be back in germany" and so on...logyourselfin wrote:what the hell was his problem ? the crowd behaves like that everytime, everywhere when nin perform hurt, right ?
Maybe they should just stop playing hurt....they have played it almost every single date since on all tours since downward spiral days. Change is always good...Rusher wrote:Oh my fucking god. I'm so annoyed. Trent tried to play Hurt but some douchebags had to scream all the time so Trent stopped playing it. His decision was totally right but why must there always be some stupid fuckers who have to scream during this special song. It is so disrespectful towards Trent and the whole audience. I would have expected much more from a NIN crowd. Everyone was in a good mood but maybe there was a bit too much energy in some people. But all in all it was an awesome show. The band played a lot old stuff from Broken EP and The Downward Spiral. I can't remember the setlist so someone else should post it.

But there are still people who yet haven't heard it live and it is always a good thing if there is a slower song in the setlist. But that's my opinion. Oh and I think Trent still wants to play Hurt otherwise they wouldn't have played it.God Given wrote: Maybe they should just stop playing hurt....they have played it almost every single date since on all tours since downward spiral days. I saw his face. That guy screamed "Trend I love you" right before the "I wear this crown of shit" line, El Rezzo was distracted and missed the line. Then he made a stupid face, for 2 or 3 terrible seconds nothing happened and THEN he made his little "Don't scream on my I'm-so-vulnerable-Song, because, well, I'm so vulnerable"-monologue.Rusher wrote:He "leaked" it himself. http://yearzero.nin-thespiral.com/FLJoi ... layer.html
and he didn't fuck it up he just got pissed of this annoying yelling from the crowd so he simply stopped playing. That's all.
So, he stopped playing the song and addressed the people who screamed? Huh? What did he say?John Doe wrote:El Rezzo was distracted and missed the line. i think, back in 2005, trent was pissed because his microphone wouldn't let him finish singing. i can't remember that the crowd did anything to piss him off.perfectdrug wrote:oh this remindes me on the gig of nin in 2005 @ vienna...during "hurt"...some fucking´people were headbanging- HEADBANGING!!!- during "hurt"....-i think those people don´t understand the song hurt....- and trent was pissed of, what i really understand. but now,2007 in vienna, it was a better crowd...no one was headbanging while he played hurt...- also we can learn*g*

During which song?aidra wrote: Did anyone else notice Trent chuck something in the direction of the crowd but it hit something hanging from the ceiling and fell short?
No, after he stormed off when he was done with his rant about Hurt. I've heard a few things: one is he threw a bottle against the back wall and maybe that ricocheted back towards the front, two is he chucked something towards the crowd but threw it too high and it hit something on the ceiling. Maybe he did just hit the lamp above the mic right before he ran to the back of the stage. I guess no one saw what I saw so I guess I'm wrong, it must have been something else.Stibbi wrote:During which song?aidra wrote: Did anyone else notice Trent chuck something in the direction of the crowd but it hit something hanging from the ceiling and fell short?
The only thing I recognised was that TR swang the light above his head maybe a couple of times but I don't remember him throwing anything towards the audience...
I did. After his "speech" during Hurt, he threw a water bottle toward the audience, but he threw it too high. It hit the ceiling or something there and fell back to the stage, never reached the crowd.aidra wrote:Did anyone else notice Trent chuck something in the direction of the crowd but it hit something hanging from the ceiling and fell short?
