Nothing from PHM, no Closer, no Hurt. I was fine with that, but it seemed odd bearing in mind the number of Foos fans who would know that stuff best. And a whole chunk of Y0 right at the beginning as well as Wish right at the end with an abrupt walk-off suggested to me a bit of an "up yours" from Trent. Maybe my imagination. Dave Grohl was very complimentary of "Mr Trent" though.

My third NIN show. I'm afraid I was disappointed. Crowd were not great (I've never seen so many people get pulled out of the front); the setlist was a really weird choice. "Me, I'm Not" was good but I don't think it was a great opener. I don't dig TGD live at all, and I think they screwed it up as well. I wish the YZ tracks were spread out a bit more rather than bunched up at the front. Wish was the highlight, when it came on I was thinking "finally HERE we go" but then that was that. No PHM songs, no last :(
The Foos were good though.
Edit: The GTD had the HIS breakdown at the end. That's the first time I heard it, I thought it was quite cool (despite not liking GTD live), it'd have been even cooler if they played into HIS :-)

My first NIN concert n I loved it, it was a tad short, but that's understandable with them not head-lining. Reptile, Burn, Big Come Down, Wish, and The Wretched were amazing.
Dave Grohl is easily one of my favourite preformers now, he's absoloutely great on stage, and he plays fantastic. Great show overall.

I agree that it was a bit poor, especially with such a fantastic performance by the Foos. Trent, whilst obviously god, looks like some sort of crotchety uncle next to Grohl's infectious enthusiasm. I missed Last as well, but that's because it's my favourite track. Weird setlist, so-so performance, apathetic crowd. NIN don't usually balk at playing the obvious tracks, so why did they this time? I still enjoyed it, just a bit perplexed really.

Fourth NIN show...
I must have been the only guy in the crowd singing along to Burn, Reptile, No you Don't, The Big come down & the Year Zero tracks.
I mean from where I was standing I looked like the only nin fan.
The folks I was with stayed up the back, but I pushed to the front. Worst crowd ever. A bunch of fucking teens & chavs who nearly ruined the show for me. Why talk on a mobile when a band is playing?
They clearly didn't have the attention span or underdstanding for NIN.
The show rocked as always, I thought the setlist was quite cool and I'm so glad they didn't play closer or hurt.

Did anyone else hear Trent say - we are NIN and we make movies!
The FF and NIN are not a natural mix for concert - i really like both - and as they are my two favourite bands this in theory was my ideal concert.
But both are very different NIN complex and challenging and the FF simple / light weight compared to NIN but they do it very well.
A casual FF fan will never appreciate NIN - they are after a simple night of rock & roll - and this showed during the NIN set.
Any way enjoyed the show but missed the video wall - easpecially for the new stuff having seen the UTube clips!

why do nine inch nails open for foo fighters, are they not as successfull? have the foo fighters better shows? have they at least released a new album or something?
Well I thought NIN were absolutely incredible! The crowd wasn't SO bad! But noone understands NIN the way we do. A few people were looking at me strangely when I was singing the words to every single song, and stomping my feet to The Big Come Down 
The energy of the band was tremendous and an absolutely fantastic setlist for me, plenty of Fragile! Really liked the Year Zero stuff, very well done imo. NIN went down quite well I thought, and they blew the foos out of the water overall in my opinion.

Yeah show wasn't best NIN gig ever. We were near the front, the early pics i took are good, then it went mental and doom.
I have no idea how the set list went after the great destroyer. It was all very heavy song orientated and broke my brain.
Good stuff though.

However, I managed to stay conscious long enough to crawl up into the foetal position. The crowd were certainly spirited; I personally may have been caught up in the excitement briefly contributing to the good, old fashioned brawl-like rowdiness of the Big Comedown.
All and all, I look forward to the next time I have the opportunity to see the Silversun Pickups again.

I crowd-surfed during The Big Comedown!!! It was my first crowd-surf and it was awsome (thnx to the poeple who offered to lift me up!!) I wonder if any of you saw me (i was wearing shades and a year zero t-shirt).
Btw, if anyone has video's of the gig, can u please post them up on youtube, coz I cant find any on there, and it's getting over-dominated by foo fighter fans who label us NIN fans as "gays".

Was at the front too - was the most intense/mental crush I've ever been caught up in at any gig (and I've been doing this forever...I'm reeeallly old!), but it was absolutely, fucking awesome!!
I loved every second (including the near asphyxia/crushed limbs and appendages).
Can't believe NIN were in my hometown, literally across the road from where I was born and brought up/can't believe how fabulous they were/can't believe it's over already

Crowd was full of Foo fans as you'd expect so the special NIN crowd vibe wasn't there. I tried to be extra enthusiastic so Trent and Co knew they were playing for someone. I spose the Foo's were good if you like that sort of thing the crowd were going crazy, personally I can't stand them boring music.

The Foos fans where I was sucked (right side of stage at the very front). Some "lol indie" girl standing infront of me not even aknowledgeing the Silversun Pick Ups (who you know were pretty good for a band I'd never heard of/aren't my kind of band) OR NIN really pissed me off so I made extra sure to crush her during NIN. Yeah so many people getting lifted over during it, I'm tiny and I'm surprised I never got crushed but I guess I was in a great position. Also, to Big_les, they never played La Mer.
It was pretty awesome, although very short. No encore, made me very sad indeed. I was thinking him playing all the heavy songs was probably to piss off the Foos fans but well I can't be sure, I'm not sure if Trent could really be resentful to supporting for a band that's younger than his and IMO less revolutionary to the music world.

Haruko - you're right of course - I pasted that section in from another gig because it seemed the same - sorry about that. I did wonder whether I'd got it right but to be honest it was all a bit of a blur by the time I got home, and I was knackered.
