Hm. well.

I thought it was a really good show anyway - was a bit erm, concerned as to how it'd all pan out. Leeds isn't exactly a typical NIN environment (but saying that, Slayer played last year didn't they?).

When i got there, we just sat on the floor whilst the Fall Out Boy finished, and etc, and these two very drunk guys joined us - and started slagging us off for coming just to see NIN (and the Pumpkins)

Trent looked so goddam slick, ha! The uniform idea was...interesting - i think it'd be cool as a one off thing, but if they continued wearing all that gear at every show, it'd be a bit...over the top.
My friend wants some leather gloves and a nice tie now, haha.

I thought the light show was great - i've never seen anything like that from NIN, personally, as the only shows i've seen were more intimate.
Oh and i thought it was great that even Trent's laptop was marked with the A.I.R flag!

I have some videos & pictures - not sure if i can upload them though - they're not on this pc, i'll have a look.
Uploading pics never seems to work for me.

I'm proud to have been on the barrier at every NIN show i've been to :)
wish i could've seen more of Aaron though - bit out of my view. shame.

Oh & I was pretty surprised they didn't play 'Capital G'
Also - Closer? I would've preferred them to have left out 'Hurt' instead - just doesn't seem fitting to the atmosphere of a festival. Bit of a downer to end on..

and will they change the whole 'THTF/HLAH' ending combo, haha, 'cos as soon as they play those songs - i know it's over! grrr.

just got back, it was classic :)

pretty good set, but would have really liked them to play mr selfdestruct or last, but knew that was unlikely. anyway, trent was looking trendy in his aviators haha :D

my highlight, the great destroyer with slavery break

aha, i loved that. I have a video of that part - from when he goes "great destroyeeeeeeerrrrr" and then it has the breakdown.
quality isn't fantastic, but still.

how do i actually upload it to be viewed?...

Definitely exceeded my expectations for a festival performance. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. I hope the HIS breakdown thing means they might bring that song back to live sets in the future.
Also nice to see someone with a NIN flag at the front too!

Anybody else disappointed at the lack of anything off The Fragile? Although I don't really see that much fitting into a festival slot, they could have at least fit one song in (on no occasion will I condone Starfuckers to be played however!)

Amazing show!was at the front which made the experience a million times better. i saw trent and jeordie watching the lostprophets from the balcony and clapping - for some reason i cant imagine them being fans but hey maybe they were just checking out the crowd? was it just me or did jeordie look really pissed off at the beginning? Also he hit his head on the light screen which was comedy. Aaron was amazing as usual through the entire set. Some dicks were shouting abuse during hurt though i don't think the band could hear which was good. My only complaint is that they weren't headlining - the smashing pumpkins were boring as hell and i don't even mind some of their stuff. Also the awesomeness of the show kinda made the rest of the weekend seem crappy! My friend loves chart music and even she loved the show so they kicked some major ass.

Managed to get front row centre for this, and i didnt even have to be up there for fall out boy mercifully! Just relaxed in the sun all day until fall out boy finished then headed forward. Managed to get within about 5 rows of the front during Lostprophets, then when they finished, a gap just opened up !

Ended up with a hand on the barrier in the dead centre between a young blonde guy and the most miserable smashing pumpkins fan ever! He didnt even move during NIN! Id be fucking miserable if i was ginger though so fair enough..

SHow was great! People are dicks though arnt they? People who just soend the whole show trying to push in. This one girl complained when i pushed her back when she was trying to squeeze into a space beside me that simply was not there! Give a shit. Id rather push her back than continue to push my elbows into the kidneys of the guys next to me because of her! Get there sooner if you want to be at the front..

Awesome show though. Cant complain at all about the music. Persuaded everyone i could to get to see NIN, many of who assumed they were shit based on their name alone.. And all of them said that they were pleasently surprised and enjoyed it a lot, so must have been a good show!

If only my girlfriend was the same. Alas...CSS won her over...aparently they had balloons tied to all the stage equipment. You can't really argue with balloons now can you?!
