Damn. I was in the (pretty much) only pit, during Wish. And it was pretty great.

The setlist was awesome, far better than the 2006. Every song was played amazingly. I'm still shaking.

Amazing show….don’t think I’ll take in all the awesomeness until tomorrow…

'The Wretched', 'THTF' (strangely enough), and 'Reptile' were personal highlights….drunken screams during 'Hurt' (boo!)…Finck look pretty scary close-up (in a good way!)

I am dead tired.

Was very close up front, but got tired of getting pushed and crushed by masses of people, so went to the back and enjoyed things from afar with some awesome peoples.

Incredible show...the best, I can't wait until tomorrow in Greensboro. The production is amazing and did not interfer with the band and their showmanship. I wish there had been a larger crowd for them...they were more than worthy of a packed house.

Being on the second row was amazing!

I felt like there was nobody at the show. The floor was half-empty. My seats were awesome, front row of sec 102. I was wearing my PIG shirt and rocking the fuck out! The setlist was exactly the same as Duluth, GA in August, minus "Down In It". I hope the mix it up a bit more for Greensboro! I would kill to here "The Great Destroyer"!!!! PLEASE TRENT PLEASE!!!!

I did think that it was funny, as I was walking out, I overheard some dumbass complain that they didn't play "Perfect Drug". I wanted to explain to him that NIN has NEVER played that song live because the drums a physically impossible to perform live. How can you watch a performance like last night and just start bitching immediately afterward about what the band DIDN'T play. Honestly, they didn't play a lot of songs, they only played for 2 1/2 hours!

Like always this was a great show. There were no technical difficulties that I noticed at this one, so I guessed they found their missing tech guy from Halloween. I was dissapointed by how low the attendence was, I figured some of the Atlanta people would have shown up, but thay didnt stop the guys for putting on a good show. I had to move closer to Trent and JMJ's side of the pit because Robin's side was dead and the second hand smoke was ridiculous. I thought this was a non smoking venue? The crowd got into the ghosts set but not during the greater good. The guys around me was lighting up and talking about how this is a good piss break. Look at the screen dammit!! Did anyone record Trent's transcript near the end? He did his intro of his band members and thanked everyone for coming out. He also said something about applause with no applause when everyone started cheering and that NIN is not going anywhere. Cant wait to see them on my b-day tomorrow!!

Wow...that was a great show. I saw them in Duluth, GA and had to see them again around this area. The show was phenomenal and so were the lighting and stage effects. No "Down In It" this time but we did get "The Hand That Feeds" unlike in Duluth so that made me happy. Ghosts 31 rocked hardcore.

When Reptile came on both my girlfriend and I freaked. It was the first time she heard the song back in Duluth and is addicted to the song now. When she heard the sound effects at the beginning of it she was screaming (along with me) REPTILE!!!!. That song is the heaviest song they have.

Trent thanked the crowd near the end for being playful and introduced his band. Of course when he introduced Freese everybody screamed the loudest. There were a few screams during "Hurt" but nothing too annoying. "In This Twilight" is a great ender with all the members leaving individually. Great show. Can't wait to see them again. Pics and video up soon.


Oh yeah...and right after Health was done playing, Robin Finck walked right in front of me. I freaked out and started telling my girlfriend..."Holy shit...that's Robin Finck." Nobody else around us noticed...by the time we got the camera out he had walked past. I was definitely star-struck.

I have 99% of that on video, along with full versions of The Warning, 19 Ghosts III, The Big Comedown, and Reptile. A few decent pics, too, but nothing spectacular. I'll be putting them on YouTube throughout this week and I'll post here when they're up.

Pretty awesome show... I wasn't as in to it as I was in Lexington (not at all NIN's fault, BTW) but I'd put it third of the five times I've seen NIN now. Charlotte in '06 in the lightning was so epic I don't think anything will ever top that.

I couldn't believe how small the crowd was... even Knoxville looked like it sold better. That's a shame, considering how amazing this tour's experience is and the still low ticket prices compared to a lot of acts the same size. I know the economy is killed right now but really wonder if this will be the last big arena tour nationwide for NIN.

Yeah, it was a small crowd. I was actually quite surprised.

Also, this may just be because of my misanthropic tendencies but there seemed to be no shortage of assholes. I know that the worst come out for any concert but holy fuck.

Trent's speech was something along the lines of not being on a record label anymore, so he appreciates people coming out to the show. The attendance was less that 5000, they sold 1000 tickets right before the show because they dropped the price. He then said something about I hope you enjoyed the show. In my opinion it was absolutely dripping with sarcasm, he even had a slight smirk on his face, and he was looking at whoever it is that he looks at on the side of the stage. The people were talking so loudly during the Ghosts set that the band kept looking up and into the crowd. He then started to say something else, and he paused, and the crowd started to applaud. He then said that the pause wasn't for applause. I can't remember what he said, I almost always forget it right away. Its always along the lines of thanks for coming to the show, you've been a great crowd, blah, blah, blah, blah. Its generic, and I think at times bullshit.
The pit was relatively tame, it got a bit rough twice. The first was during Ghosts, which wasn't from people being "into it", there were two drunk assholes that pushed their way up to 2nd or 3rd back in the center. They were screaming and shouting a whole bunch of crap, and then other people in the crowd started to yell at them to shut up. So, then one of the drunk assholes started shouting "What is Nine Inch Nails" here to play just for you" and "Is Nine Inch Nails playing in your living room." I didn't find that anywhere near as annoying as the people on the other side of me that were having a conversation through the whole Ghosts set. It started with them discussing seeing shows on the With Teeth tour, and then they started discussing the drunk assholes, then one of them asked the other if this was the Ghosts stuff, to which the other replied that he thought so. Then they started talking about how it was really good, and that the other people that were fighting with the drunk guys should just settle down and enjoy it. They continued to have this non-stop conversation about how much they liked Ghosts, until Piggy started. I don't know how they could possibly tell that they liked Ghost over the sound of their own voices.
During Terrible Lie the crowd got pushed to the side, and I spent mist of that song with my legs off to the side, or on my tip toes until I was able to get my footing back.
I was glad to get Reptile and The Wretched. The sound was very good in the front, which was nice because sometimes you get shit sound up there.
I was surprised to see that after the show the Demon Seed shirts were still available.

Health, hmmm. Some songs I really liked, some I really, really, really didn't like. They reminded me of Sonic Youth a bit. I also thought they were quite sexual, but maybe that was just because the Asian guy kept using his whole body to thrust the microphone into the amplifier.

Can't wait for the HOB.

This was a great show. I saw them at this same venue back in 2006 for With_Teeth. I had floor seats then and I'm short so I had a hard time getting into the visuals. From what I saw on youtube I decided seats would be best this time around. I'm glad we went with that, because the lighting and visuals were pretty cool, I even got heebee jeebees watching The Greater Good.

It was disappointing this show didn't sell out like last time. I'm not sure if ticket sales were low overall for this tour, but it's a shame nonetheless. My friends weren't even aware of the show since most of us have been unemployed/working a low-wage job this summer, and thus, broke. I really think the economy had an impact on ticket sales. As I said, it's a shame since this was such a great show. I thought overall the crowd was subdued and calm. I guess most of the jerkoffs were on the floor.

Wish, Gave Up, The Frail/Wretched - and overall a tasty mix.

This was a great show. I was on the floor right in front of the stage and I was surrounded by great people. The people around me made the show that much more enjoyable. The Ghosts "break" was welcome after the madness of the first half of songs. There weren't any real favorites for me as I thought the entire show was great. Reptile, terrible lie, letting you, march of the pigs, in this twilight, big come down, and wish.

Sidenote: To the group that went to IHOP - it was great hanging out with you and wish we had a chance to exchange the infos to keep in touch. Maybe I'll see you at the next "Lexington show".

JK...Thanks for sharing it. Had the video been as good as the audio and you had gotten the video and this audio it would have been a great boot.

Well I promise we will for sure tape NIN again. As soon as they tour the south USA again (wow that'll be years I bet), we'll do DVD and AUD for multiple shows. I want to make this up to the NIN community. I'll release the video we shot and you can be the judge, but I think it's alright.

I could have gotten the whole show here. I feared my friend was going to get fucked by security so I did what *I* personally at the time thought was the right thing to do morally, and that was to go and try to help him get out of that situation. We were in it together so I'd feel like a complete ass for taping the whole show, standing there while security tears him apart.

There is a full audio source from this show. The taper will post it later this month. It was taped right in front of the soundboard on the floor and the quality is excellent because I've heard his recordings from Toledo/2 other mideast shows he did and they rocked. Sorry for not getting the whole show but I guarantee you I will next time. Bi-Lo is absolutely going to get recorded to hell next time NIN hits that place.

The presence of red neck douche-bags was the only down side to this show (Hmmmm......same as the NC show. Us Carolinas aren't looking too good!) There was a very sweet but kind of annoying red neck brothers behind me who kept talking throughout the ENTIRE show. One would start a sentence, and his brother would finish it, all in red-neckese. This would have been cute if it had not been through-out the entire show, and it was especially loud during the Ghosts set and Hurt, ITT, etc. I don't think they were purposefully trying to mess up the show for anyone, but it would have been better if they had been more respectful during the quieter songs. Oh well.

On another note, I know that akm thought maybe Trent's speech was sarcastic, but I was right in front of him, and it didn't seem like it was. It seemed genuine to me. I'm sure he's disappointed that there's a recession going on during the shows where he's put the biggest effort and $$$ into lighting, etc., so that there's a lot less people showing up, but I'm sure he genuinely appreciates the fans who actually did come out for the show even though times are tough.

One last bump to request a full recording of this show. Anyone? Please?
