God, you guys are a bunch of slackers! ;) I'll post my review once I am fully lucid.

My review: fuck oklahoma.

Now someone has explained to me what "sooner" means, these line-rushes make perfect sense.
the OKC line debacle was partially the fault of bad organisation, but the people still ran, just like tulsa.
I can't believe these fuckheads are proud this bullshit.

The people at the front of the line holding spots for 5+ people can die a horrible death on the way to their next concert, I don't care if you've been lining up there since last week, it's never okay to hold a spot for more than 1 person for over half the day.

The show was pretty cool, I really enjoyed Trent being a little more dynamic with some of the lyrics, rather than sticking to the script.
Josh seemed to rock out a lot more tonight, but that could be just because i was paying more attention just to him since he's leaving soon.

The lack of speech was a little surprising, how am i supposed to know who's in the band!? We got two "thank-you"s during the encore, i guess he just didn't feel talkative after the screen mishap during Head Like A Hole. (or something)

Robin seemed to be laughing at something during the end of the night - and i swear Robin was laughing at Trent playing the marimba.
Justin seemed to be dancing a lot more tonight, and Alessandro just looked pissed off, although it was the first time ive noticed him smiling as he left the stage.

Despite it being the same old setlist, i really enjoyed this concert.
I'm late for a thanksgiving lunch, i guess that's it, i'll edit more in if i think of it later.

Robin was in rare form tonight.
I'm going to review my pictures and videos and see if any of them were worthwhile.
Hearing people's stories, I kinda missed being on the floor, but I've done that before and these old bones weren't feeling it this time.

The people that got to meet the band, were they just at the right place at the right time... or was something organized?

Oh, a Sooner...
So, we all know Oklahoma used to be private land for the Native Americans... Well, when the U.S. said "FUCK THAT SHIT" and opened up the state for people to settle in, there were people lined up all along the border ready to rush in and claim their little section of land. Well, I believe a Sooner was a person who said "FUCK THAT SHIT" and crossed the border the night before, or the day before... to get a section of land before anyone else.
Now, what "Boomer Sooner" means, I have no idea... but the loud male chanting of "Boomer Sooner" coming from the restrooms just struck me as a little creepy and homoerotic.

It wasn't. He was just glad Oklahoma dominated Texas Tech. As was I.

I really enjoyed this show. It was my favorite of the four.

Amazing show, by far the best i've seen.

First off Boris: I've seen them before, and this time, they played an awesome set. I was the super excited guy with the red hoodie in the front row on the GA. Not a lot of people liked them, but I think I entertained everyone with my overexcitement, seeing how they are one of my favorite bands. I did get Wata's setlist..

Band was top notch, and Trent seemed into it. He was having a good time. This crowd is much better than OKC, and there was literally no talking during the Ghosts songs and Hurt. Finally!! Josh Freese's drumming during Piggy was ridiculous. The crowd was respectful for the most part until the fight at the end between the girls (can someone fill me in on that).
Trent didn't talk, just said "thank you" a few times
Anyways better than the OKC show.

COME BACK TO TULSA!

We ended up getting there later than planned, but it was pretty good timing, around 7:15-7:30 (I think). The line was moving along faster than I thought it was, and it wasn't as cold as I thought it would be once we got there. We got in, I grabbed a poster and the Corona Radiata shirt, then we went straight to our seats after missing Boris' first song. I was really glad I stuck around for the rest of it, definitely a better opener than A Place to Bury Strangers, if you ask me. There was a little seating mix-up because the guy next to us and his girlfriend got seperate seats, so they were sitting in one of ours, and I was sitting in someone else's. Luckily, there were a few empty spots behind us, and the guy said it was all good. It's really nice when you meet good people at concerts!

My only complaints:
-Beach ball getting in half my pictures
-No Wretched!
-Some guys came running down the stairs when Hurt started and kept yelling and being obnoxious..."Oh DUDE THIS IS WHERE WE WERE SUPPOSED TO SIT kids"
-My camera was being bitchy, and decided "You know what? I'll only record video half of the time he pushes the button"

Other than that, Trent seemed pretty into it up until the screen started acting up, but I'm pretty sure that wasn't an issue until Head Like a Hole. Josh was full of energy, JMJ was all over the place, as was Robin...But Alessandro was confined to his little space! I was a bummed I coulnd't get a whole lot of good pictures of him. There was a LOT more energy than the last show.

Also, the new Closer visuals (with the camera) look amazing. And somewhere during The Warning/Vessel, Robin stopped playing and was looking up at something for a couple seconds. It just looked funny. Overall, this was MUCH better than OKC.

I heard someone took a shitload of pills and died at the show. I didn't say it happened, but I was outside by the buses when i heard that and the paramedics going in. Can anyone confirm that? I'm calling bullshit on that.

It was awesome to finally, finally hear The Big Comedown. Third time's a charm, I suppose. Overall, the entire band seemed to be into it a lot more than the OKC show, they seemed to be working off each others styles really well.

Boris? Loved them. I would have driven hours to go see Boris alone. Either you do or you don't like Boris, like you do or you don't like Sunn O))), you do or you don't like Merzbow, you do or you don't like the Melvins. I can't say I know anyone who's just indifferent to any of those bands. Maybe the Melvins, but.. Either you appreciate that style, or you don't. I knew Oklahoma wouldn't. I just didn't expect to hear some comments out of the crowd regarding "Speak English", and some ridiculous racial slurs. Heard at least five different people around me talking shit about them because of their ethnicity. Pissed me off. Is it.. I mean, honestly, is it that difficult to understand they're from another country, and play music in their native language, and that some people enjoy it? Grow the fuck up and learn to accept that there are other places in the world that make excellent music, and it's not their fault that you don't speak their language.

As has been stated a few times in this thread. Fuck Oklahoma. I've lived here most of my life. And by all means.. I despise the people here. But that's okay, I despise most people.. It's just apparent why I despise these people. : )

To answer someone's question about a girl dying.. At the end of the show, I believe during The Good Soldier, a girl a little ways behind me passed out in the crowd, then as people were trying to get her to the front, she woke up and said she was okay and didn't want to move. In less than a minute, she passed out again, and they had to drag her out. I would imagine this could be that someone might have been speaking of regarding someone dying? She got out of the crowd fine though once they lifted her out.

The lights during Head Like a Hole made me laugh. When Trent turned around and saw them, he just looked at them for a brief moment, looked irritated, and carried on.. I had hoped for some sort of a comment about the lights fucking up, but I guess not. > : )

I got to the presale line around 10:30 and was there the majority of the day. Yeah the people at the front holding a spot for 5+ people was definitely bullshit. I think I was talking to you about that nympholept...I don't recall which one you were in line though haha, but I'm positive I met you as we enjoyed the cold environment.

Though the BOK Center is a beautiful arena, the BOK Center staff were ridiculous. I don't think they have the mental capacity to fit their positions. We got let in later than we should have to get our presale tickets, then we all get lined up and told to "get as close together as possible" in this stupid roped off area (which wasn't even CLOSE to our entrance to the floor!) and we stood there like that, shoulder to shoulder for about and hour and 20 mins! At any other normal show a) you're never roped off and b) you typically have room to sit down. What blew my mind was they had extra ropes they could've attached so they could stretch out the line some, but instead they decided we weren't worth the extra effort. Talk about dumb and lazy! The running when we hit the floor surprised me, normally that never happens. My friend and I were fortunate enough to get on the rail right in front of Robin.

I saw the show in OKC months ago, and this one just blew that out of the water. Somehow, this was even better than the Dallas show. Although, it always seems there are always bound to be dumbass Oklahoma fans at these shows. I saw shit get thrown on stage during 3-4 songs, one of which was 17 Ghosts II. As Trent was performing his part during that song, someone throws a cup of something and it hits the screen in front...thankfully none of it hit Trent, so he kept his focus. Then during The Greater Good, cup full of ice hits the screen yet again! Idiots. Other than that and the short bitch trying to force her way and yell at us during Hurt of all songs, there wasn't much else to complain about. The majority of the people around me were just as much into the show as I was...wouldn't be surprised if some were ETS members. I met a lot of ETS members during the course of the day, definitely made the day that much better!

Boris started their set and I had only heard good things about them heading into the show. I really dug their set, you can really tell they practice a LOT! Some songs went on much longer than they should have, and some of the droning high note lead guitar was a little bit grinding on the ears. I really enjoyed them overall and thought their drummer was amazingly energetic! Without him, I don't think they could get as many people into the show as they did. The drummer really reminded me an awful lot of Animal from the Muppets! It wouldn't surprise me if they have a huge following in Japan, and I thought it was awesome they sung in their native language. Definitely one of the better opening acts I've seen.

The show kicked off for NIN and instantly it seemed as if the entire band was more on the ball for the night. They put everything into the show and left nothing behind. I really enjoyed seeing Justin run over to Robin's spot a few times to rock out with him...definitely badass. The friend of mine I was with was very much into Robin Finck, she has a big crush on him. Right before the screen was lowered for the start of The Warning, Robin suddenly came down from the side and walked up to the rail where we were. We gave him a lot of love for the entire show, so I he think he show us he appreciated it. He walked up and said a few things to a few people next to us, then came up to us and handed us water bottles...he had about 3-4 water bottles in his arms. I just patted my hand on his shoulder and said i'm glad you're back and keep it up. I asked the guy next to me, who has been to 60+ shows if he had ever seen Robin do that before and he said no...so it was definitely quite the experience!

This show was the one of the best shows i've seen them put on. The energy and quality was superior from start to end. I was hoping I was going to get The Good Soldier and God Given one last time this tour and got it. This was the last show for me this tour and ArmyofMe it was awesome spending that day and the show with you and your friend...glad you two enjoyed yourselves sleeping while I drove to and from Tulsa. This was definitely the best way to kick off a week full of my 23rd birthday and Thanksgiving.

When I first got to my hotel (Crown Plaza) i saw Alessandro and Leo loading up their stuff into the tour buses. The first time Alessandro walked by me i just froze up and stared at him. Then a waited outside so maybe i could meet him, but he was on the phone when he came out and i didn't want to disturb him.

Then after the concert i waited in the lobby hopping for one of them to stay the night. Then i saw Josh and JMJ walk in. they signed my tour poster and i sat back down hoping to see Trent, Robin, or Alessandro. JMJ came back and told me that they were the only ones staying there that night and everyone else had already left to Minniapolis. So then we ended up taking the same elevator up to our rooms. They were really nice and we talked for a minute or two.

i forgot to take pictures with them though.

Did anyone notice Trent's microphone problems? It seemed like something wasn't working right for the first few songs or so. I was on the rail watching from Justin's side... I saw TR signal down to his mic tech guy and then that guy ran off and came back with a flashlight in his mouth and fiddled around with some stuff for quite a while. Anyway, it was kind of funny watching TR throw his mic stands and then a mic into the audience. It looked like he was pretty pissed off about whatever was going on.

I didn't catch if he noticed the screen problem during HLAH but there was a lot going on. Just glad it wasn't during the YZ front screen portion like Dallas... that was awkward.

Anyway, good show... crappy arena security. Not as bad as OKC, but geez... OK needs to get it together. BOK center is awesomely new and I expected much more. Looking forward to Vegas!

I laughed a little bit when he threw a mic at the front screen right before the end of Only. I'm glad most of the issues were resolved though.

Also, did anyone manage to get a setlist? We went up to the rail after the show, and I could see one taped to the stage, so I pointed and asked if the guy nxt to it could grab it for us, but he just walked off. He told us "Hold on," walked off, then he came back and said "He won't let me give it to you. Sorry," and went about his business...At least it was better than the "NO!" we got in OKC.

Was anyone at the after party?

This was my first NIN show and only my second rock concert.(first being skillet). It was great other than the the drunks. I got some good video and my new Sanyo XACTI performed like a champ. Ya trent did throw things quite a bit.

I would also like to say that not all okies are racist morons. I am quite ashamed to live in OK most days. Lots of anti-Obama comments get passed around lately and it gets old fast.

One of ours was only 10x zoom...but the guys up front didn't say anything about it, which was nice. We got some pretty good shots (from Boris AND NIN) considering our spot...But I still have to sort some of them out.

Just to clear it up, our group was 5 people total. We were not saving spots for 5+ people. This story just got messed up when it was passed down the line.
ETA: A couple people came up to talk to us, but they had regular seats or general admission. When the line started to line up at the table to be searched, people were coming up there and cutting in because they had general will call and came around 5 to get their tickets. A lot of people did that and started to line up there with us, but they weren't pre-sale.

First off, i was amazed at how small the venue was. Its size provided even more intimacy than the TDS show in dallas in 94.
The lights, as most of you know, are simply indescribable. This was my only chance to see NIN on this tour, and i felt a little bit of pride in the fact that my favorite band of all time, who was relatively unknown when i first got hooked, is now in a position to present a visual show that blows anything ANYONE else is doing, or has ever done, out of the water.
So three albums have come out since my last NIN show, and seeing the new material live was life changing.
And even though i could have done without seeing head like a hole and closer etc for the fourth time, i respect trent for still playing the hits, if for no other reason than the sake of his casual fans. (Not that i no longer enjoy these songs)
This show was way above and beyond my expectations; it was like the crazy NIN dreams i had at 15.
Getting Gave Up and Terrible Lie, plus literally half of the slip, a great mix of songs from Year Zero, and the ghosts set, and being SO CLOSE, i...i really don't have words for it.
When trent, in the voice of the presence (which was so cool) delivered the line about "changing your ways" and pointed at the audience, at us, at ME, it sunk in.
I read that the purest and best art breaks your heart and then makes it new again. And the one-two punch of Hurt and In This Twilight, the agony of hurt and the cautious hope of ITT, did just that. And to say that the Zero-Sum ending gave me goosebumps would be a major understatement.
I feel, as many of you surely do, that i have been on an emotional journey with this band for 15 years.
And last night was the most incredible culmination of that journey that i could possibly imagine.
I can only pray that it keeps coming.
The only thing that bothered me was the crowd. Some were drunk and making asses of themselves, while others just sat quietly.
NO ONE around me seemed to know the words to any of the songs. I felt like i was surrounded by people who had heard earlier in the day that the "fuck you like an animal" band was in town and headed out.
My little brother said the vibe was similar in Dallas.
The crowd at the NIN shows i went to as a teenager were insane. The pits (in dallas) were insufferably violent. The audience's screams and cheers were deafening and EVERYONE was on their feet, at least.
I have a theory on this: Those of us who WERE those crazy teenagers in the early nineties (those of us who survived) are grown now.
And the new fans, the young fans, have been raised in a post nine eleven world where it is important to sit quietly and do what you are told lest you meet with The Authority. Interesting, no?
ON THAT NOTE...on the way home from Tulsa, i saw what i at first thought was a soldier. I got closer and realized that he was the SHERRIF. the new sherrif's uniform in whatever county that was is nearly indescernable from a military uniform.
I overheard his conversation with a police officer. The topic: whether or not the police will be switching to military style uniforms for 09.

This was my fourth time to see nails and my first time in Tulsa. Hadn't been to the BOK Center yet, and I thought it was pretty cool. I got there about seven and had no security problems. They sounded tight last night, better than OKC. Perfect Show. I was kinda pissed they didn't play the Wretched or toss in one of the semi rarities they'ves been randomly playing for some of the shows (Reptile, DII, TBOTE, LINE...), but what they did play was top notch.

I had to go sit in the stands after Piggy b/c of some fuckheads on the floor were making me nervous. My wife had a broke arm and wasn't wearing her cast, then some security guard came by choking and dragging some dude out and almost hit her. Then we moved and saw some dude just fall backwards and land on the ground out cold. After about ten seconds he started rubbing his face and then he got up and started stumbling around. Watched the rest of the trip from some pretty good seats.

This was probably my favorite show out of the 4 or so that I've been to. trent just seemed like he was really giving it everything, along with the rest of the band. My eyes kept going back to Robin, who seemed to be way more active than the last few times. All in all great show and a pretty cool new venue! The BOK was pretty cool. Plus the new Closer video setup made me actually want to pay attention to it!!!!!!

Pretty awesome show, I thought. The energy seemed fine to me, I was just glad with my first show in seats that everyone was standing up and the people in section 101 at least had some energy and were getting into the show (although not that many people were singing along).

Where were you guys?! I was hoping to see some ETSers or #NINers at the show, ah well, I guess. Skipped out on the laminate as it were anywho.

There was a lot of talking, I thought, during Ghosts--at least where I was sitting. Hurt was relatively quiet. I'm still pissed that we didn't get The Wretched (Reptile would have been nice too) but The Big Comedown was definitely a plus.

Screen effects: fucking awesome, as usual, minus the mishaps (although they were pretty unnoticeable except for the HLAH spot). Robin was taking names with his guitar work.

I bought a sticker and the Ghosts girl's T-shirt, so I now have both women's shirts that were on sale this tour. Good shit. I didn't even get in line until almost 7, haha, way too cold out.

Also, if there could be clarification on the ambulance/police cars thing... The ambulance came tearing past us as we were walking to the car, so we wondered what that was about.

Anyway, overall I had a really fucking great time. It's too bad this is probably the last show I'll see for a while.

Did anyone see the fight at the begging? in the "mosh pit" up at the very front between the two drunk dumbasses and the guy with the mohawk and his friend...that was intense...they threw a security guard over the rail into the mosh pit and the orange haired security dude came out of nowhere.... the two guys in the black shirts that started the fight were retarded...

Heard at least five different people around me talking shit about them because of their ethnicity. Pissed me off. Is it.. I mean, honestly, is it that difficult to understand they're from another country, and play music in their native language, and that some people enjoy it? Grow the fuck up and learn to accept that there are other places in the world that make excellent music, and it's not their fault that you don't speak their language.

As has been stated a few times in this thread. Fuck Oklahoma. I've lived here most of my life. And by all means.. I despise the people here. But that's okay, I despise most people.. It's just apparent why I despise these people. : )

To answer someone's question about a girl dying.. At the end of the show, I believe during The Good Soldier, a girl a little ways behind me passed out in the crowd, then as people were trying to get her to the front, she woke up and said she was okay and didn't want to move. In less than a minute, she passed out again, and they had to drag her out. I would imagine this could be that someone might have been speaking of regarding someone dying? She got out of the crowd fine though once they lifted her out.

The lights during Head Like a Hole made me laugh. When Trent turned around and saw them, he just looked at them for a brief moment, looked irritated, and carried on.. I had hoped for some sort of a comment about the lights fucking up, but I guess not. > : )

I'm not on ETS, this is my friend's account. But anyway yeah.

I'm an idiot and let my blood pressure get too low. During Echoplex I passed out and when I got up I was like "fuck that, I'm totally fine" and definitely was not.
I uh, got to see Hurt and ITT from sidestage though? ..yay?
I'm not the one they were talking about dying, though. It was a dude near the back that took a shitload of pills. Evidently he just passed out and didn't die, though.

Also, the fight at the beginning was over some drunk fuck. I was right next to them, I kept trying to convince the one that got in a fight that his buddy was waiting for him at the back of the pit. He left for a sec and came back and evidently pissed someone off, got punched three times and caused a chick to get her nose fucked up. As soon as the show started the guy's girlfriend came up and started beating his drunk ass. The security dude jumped the rail and basically crawled on our heads to get to them and throw them out.

Best show I've been to hands down. The band was right on, and Robin especially was kicking some serious ass. Can't wait for 09 dates to go up.

yeah....I was around you until NIN started...then the fight started and I got pushed to the farther end of the "mosh pit" / crazy fight...when I finally got back to the other side with my friends I couldn't see you around. There were four of us. When the drunk douchebag left for a second to get yelled at you told me to pack into his spot and not let him back in and my brother jumped in the way and packed into his spot really tight in like half a second. it was hilarious....he still got back in though >.> uhm...remember us? that was an intense fight btw...security was freakin launched into the air into the pit

The fight was so idiotic it pisses me off that there are douches out there like that. I went with my girlfriend looking to dance and have a great time listening to nine inch nails and i felt i had to protect her the entire time from those morons. It seemed that group just wanted to hurt anyone around them just looking to start a fight. There was one good thing about the fight though, when security stopped the fight we were able to move up closer when that area filled in. The Big Comedown was a huge surpise,it was the only thing different from OKC other than the beginning of the end during the encore in OKC.

The most violent people I've encountered yet.
The fight in the middle of the pit at the beginning was ridiculous.
It took way too long for security to do something about it, and then they kicked out the wrong person.
It was 3 people beating up on this one smaller guy and they kicked out the one guy and left the three. Meathead idiots.

Also incredibly rude with everyone smoking in the pit. Really, that is just so rude and selfish.
You are less than a foot from somebody's face and they start smoking and you can't help but breathe it.
Horrible people and the show was lackluster. The worst one I've seen on this tour.

I cant say much for the pit, because I had seats, but I thought the show went really well. The band was really together and trent seemed more excited to play at this show more than any other show I have seen

That 'smaller guy' fucking deserved to have his ass kicked. Maybe you didn't see him..? He was stumbling around moshing when there wasn't music drunk off his stupid ass, screaming about how much Boris sucked and then rambling about the shit he started with the guy who eventually beat him up. We ALL were trying to get him to leave and then he caused some girl to get hit in the face before the show.

Be glad that he and his friend disappeared. As for the smoking thing I'm sorry it bothered you, but I guarantee you that every pit has people smoking pot in it.

as i previously stated, in the early ninties, NIN crowds were EXTREMELY violent.
hell, robin and trent used to smash into each other onstage, for fuck's sake.
the "mosh pit" at this show looked like sewing circle compared to the shows i caught on TDS. and in the old days the violence started BEFORE the opening act even came out. in those days, TR characterized NIN as "positive hate music" remember? or am i the old guy now? im only 28!

people threw parts of the floor at the melvins and each other. it was awful but it was also interesting. it was so much raw ENERGY and angst, so pure in a chaotic way. it was US.
I guess i am slightly sick for missing this a little bit, but what can i say?
and as far as the whole texas vs ok thing, i don't really want to get into this, but ummm...im from texas. and im fiercely proud of it. amarillo born, 21 years in dallas. and texas is NOT like oklahoma.
no offense. obviously there are PLENTY of cool people in oklahoma, i saw you guys at the show.

EDIT: just in case you guys get the wrong idea, i'm not a fan of violence or anything. i am a pacifist. But, as someone who has been going to Nails shows for about 15 years, i'm just surprised that YALL are surprised at a tiny amount of violence at a Nails show. getting in the pit and raising hell was just part of what it was about then. and it wasn't the "fake fans ruining the show" back then, either. It was us. There were very few "fake fans", because NIN was relatively unknown. Maybe you had to be there.

Yeah, my phone sucks. I'd posted right after the show from my phone but it didn't show up.

This was by far the worst audience I've seen on this tour. So much so that I was completely distracted and probably missed alot of what was going on onstage. There were the two drunken frat boys and their skanky woman in the front row seats who proceeded to fall onto the GA floor in front of me multiple times and fought with that lesbian security lady all night long. There was some moron who almost knocked me out and made me break my shoe during a failed attempt to lift his 300lb woman onto his shoulders. And the mouth breather next to me who has evidently found a way to eat his own ass out because his breath literally smelled like shit. I just don't understand people who show up to a concert and just stand there with their arms crossed the entire time. Stand your ass at the back next time; maybe the lighting guy can give you a few pointers on how to enjoy yourself at a show. Bands totally feeds off of the energy from their audience and you could tell that there was a sense of how lame this crowd was. And don't even get me started on the fan/line drama. If I wasn't meeting up with friends I would have gotten there right before the opener like I usually do to avoid the nonsense.

I don't know what people were complaining about from other shows but I love Boris! That drummer cracks me the hell up. "Whoooo!"
It's great to see JMJ engage himself a little more. I don't remember seeing him coming out of his little corner as much. And Robin's little dances and facial expressions are a riot. It was so cool of him to come down and hand the crowd water bottles. I'd bumped into him earlier in the day at Starbucks--what a nice guy. Did anyone else hear that "whoo hoo hooo!!" during HLAH? I think either someone from the crowd had gotten a hold of a mic, or Alessandro finally woke up back there. I didn't really notice any screen issues, but then again I was pretty distracted most of the time by that awful audience.

Ugh.

The Tulsa show was absolutely sick. It was the first time I've ever seen NIN live, and I fully intend to do it again as soon as possible. I was really pleasantly surprised by "Gave Up," since it's one of my favorite NIN songs but it doesn't seem to get as much exposure as a lot of others. I was headbanging so fucking hard during Head Like a Hole that my neck is still a little sore, three days later.

I went with my friend and his girlfriend, who works at a dry cleaner's here in Tulsa. This particular cleaner's has a deal with the BOK Center where they get all the performers' laundry, so she was able to bum a couple of excellent tickets off the roadie who brought NIN's laundry in. I had already bought my ticket, but it was way over on the other side of the arena, so I just sat with my friends really close to the stage. edit: Also, I couldn't stand Boris. Reminded me of Boredoms, but without the fun or spontaneity that makes Boredoms enjoyable.

I don't mind being a little crazy at a NIN. The whole "violence" thing is cool...like having crazy mosh pits. Fights do break out ocasionally too and it's not unexpected.....This wasn't just people being crazy though. This was a fight at the begging of the show. People punching each other in the face blood on peoples face random people getting knocked out. Some chick got her eye split open by a drunk guy and then got pissed and started a fight. Other than that I had no issues with the crowd. Everything was badass otherwise. I missed Robing handing out water bottles for some reason....was it right before the warning or before the ghost session? the HLAH screen mess up wasn't that bad at all. At the concert I thought it was actually suppose to go that way to look cool.

so now instead of people moshing and being into the show, we are getting a combination of drunks and morons acting stupid and hurting themselves and each other, and everyone else standing with arms folded.

And as far as Boris? i LOVE experimental music but they are just a little, how should i put this, TOO experimental? (for average ears, including even mine.)
i LOVED the IDEA of what they were doing, i loved their look, i loved their energy. they are beyond musicians, they are true performance artisits.
i just can't handle that level of cacaphony for that long. they remind me of Hella, and i THINK i saw them and some fellow Japanese noise rockers on a Hella video.
What they do is amazing and groundbreaking, and i truly respect them, but i just can't listen to stuff like the first few songs they played for more than about 10 min.

I will say that I hate the fighting that sometimes goes on at heavier shows, and the nonsense on the floor eventually made me and my wife move up to some seats when the ghosts songs came on, but you people must not go to any metal shows if this stuff surprises you. I've seen WAAAY worse at
Ministry, Pantera, Slayer, As I Lay Dying, even Tool. Not to mention Ozzfest (at Dallas fucking Texas no less), where you can actually see evidence of human evolution.

As far as the TX/OK bs, I'm FROM Tx, now I live in OK. Texas is better b/c it's bigger and there's more to do, but the people are no different, except everyone from TX thinks it's the best place on earth.

Now for Boris, they are my least favorite opening band I've caught. Saul Williams, Autolux, Dresden Dolls, APTBS were all more entertaining, IMO.

I've been to too many metal shows in my day to count. Hell, I was on the rail for Slayer/ Sepultura, Woodstock, original Lollapalooza, and on and on. But I was in the pit, so it was expected. It's the nonsense that happens away from the pit that I have a problem with. You should be able to enjoy yourself while standing off to the side without some drunk flying on top of your head from the seats. If you want to act like a fool buy a Ga ticket, get in the pit and clonk your heads together all night for all I care.
