I'm not into texting setlists but we had no wretched and no reptile. We did have an oustanding concert with a lot of year zero thrown in (but no great destroyer.) This is my 7th nails show and other than Lollapalooza '91 and the club tour in '05, this is a favorite. A way better set and better energy among the members from the last round of arena tours. Tight and worth the money.

Words about the crowd. I grew up in Alabama and Atlanta and matured in Chicago before moving to Montana 8 years ago. I have traveled everywhere and seen shows at some pretty exotic venues. So, seeing this level of performance and only traveling 120 miles east to do it is a real trip. We had dinner at Walker's before the show and I timed it to totally miss The Bug as their myspace page left me a little distorted and confused. We drove up to the MetraPark, and (get this) parked in the very front from the doors. Seriously, I've had longer walks in convenience store parking lots. This was once in a lifetime rock star parking.

We hit the will call with zero line. We're in the door in seconds. No pat down!!!!!! No lines for anything. Mellow crowd. Alot of metal burnouts but no excessively intoxicated jerks. Only a little marijuana burning. No teeny fuck me boots rock whores. (This to me is a positive thing but maybe for you it is a negative thing..) Very conservative slightly older crowd. Seemed like a lot of G'nR people. Left at In this Twilight to beat the non'crowd. Out the door in seconds and no boot or towing. So, to me, having to treck to areans like the allstate (nee Rosemont Horizon) or to Denver from Livingston, this is like being a VIP and shuttled. This allowed me to really loosen up and just totally enjoy the show.

The show:

I can't write what hasn't been written before. As a NIN vet (almost 20 years now,) I am still hooked, still stoked and still blown away. See this tour! I would go to Missoula if I could but not in the cards. They are totally tight and the show is just non-stop perfection. Sound a little distorted but cleaned up a couple of songs in. That mixer is on fire! The crowd did minimal moshing. No rush to the stage when the band went on. Very little dancing or headbanging. Again, mellow. Some of the people in seats never even got up. I loved the Ghosts trilogy and the crowd was pretty polite although I don't think this was their thing.

Down point: a $35 fucking t shirt. Come on.

This show rocks cocks.
