I was front and centre for the whole thing againt the rail. Super sore. It was alot of fun though. That was my 2nd rail show, didn't seem nearly as bad as the first rail show I went too (Toronto 2005 club tour).

It was a pretty standard show, nothing to really report. No fuckups, everything went as scheduled. Trent didn't have much of a speech. Just thanks for coming, you've been an Outstanding audience. I don't remember if we're ever been here before, I don't think so. I'll introduce my band now...lets play som more music. Very straightforward show.

The highlight of the show was defiantly the ghosts section, that was bad ass. I did a little bit of video taping from the front with my digital camera. The video is good, with no moron secuirity guards in the way. I wasn't going to attempt taping the full show from the front like that though, that would have been asking for trouble. What did I get... a bit of 1,000,000, Thwe full videos Wretched, 2/3 ghosts songs, Trents speech, The Good Soldier, and in this twilight. Some pretty decent photos durning the warning as well. I'm still in Victoria, so when I gey home i'll play around with the videos.

did anybody else have as much security problems as i did with camcorders? they wouldn't even just take my tape (i still had 2 pocketed spares), i had to put it all back in my car

Damn man, I can't beleive you got there late! But at least you managed to catch the majority of the show. It was long, which was good. Longest NIN show i've ever seen. Trent came out in this leather jacket over his red shirt and leather pants for 1,000,000 it was awesome.

I think everyone kind od mis-interpreted Trents post. I don'tt hink he was declaring it an "open taping" night for all the fans, more so that, it was more relaxed for the band, as in they didn't have to pay the venue to tape or something along those lines. I idn't have a problem getting my camera in, Like I said, I just put it in my hand under my wallet when I went through the security check and was on my way. It was pretty clear I was taking video too and Trents main security guy and all the other venue bozos didn't say anything when I was recording from front and centre. i think it was mainly just, no official looking camera, SLR's HD cams ETC for the general public.

epic show! i was dead center on the rail for the entire show, despite some asswipe trying to cover my face with his hands so i couldn't breathe. Trent's security man put a stop to that in a hurry.

my body aches. i am bruised. i am happy. the band was great, the crowd was great.

ManBurning, it was nice to meet you, though I didn't get to chat with you much.

damn, sounds like a missed a good entrance. what time did they go on, then? doors were at 7 so i assumed it would be The Bug from around 8-8:30 and then NIN at 9.

was anybody else actually surprised Trent put up with that cunt's screaming during Hurt + Ghosts? i thought for sure he was gonna break something. just like that other guy, that yelled "FUCKING BREAK SHIT". jackasses.

and probably the most improper "fuck" placement i've ever heard was in The Greater Good. "Breath.... us in.... slowly....fucking slowly..." , i think it was 2 or 3 times

Great show. I thought The Wretched was the highlight. That was the best performance of that song in all the shows I've seen.

Its interesting seeing a band at the start of the tour and again at the end. Definite differences is performances, how things were presented (The Big Come Down) and how they all are on stage.

Unfortunately I have to say that Save On Centre has some pooooor acoustics. It made the bass sound muddy...compared to say The Saddledome that has great acoustics.

Oh and I love the new bathroom video! And props to the people that actually were entertaining on the surveillance cams.

Loved the show and it blew my sister and her bfs minds.

thanks...here's hoping I get to see more nin in the future.

No problems with getting my camera in but I didn't really use it.

was able to video record the entire show except for roughly 5min. with one of those cheap hundred dollar camcorders from section 110 ... you can't do much with them except point and shoot ...

Wow, He gave us like every song in the book. That was a long setlist. I think he gave us more songs then any of the other shows. Maybe it just seemed like that, but it felt long, on a good way. Short in a way because I was just waiting for the encore as the songs I wanted to hear most were gonna come up there if they came up at all (down in it, reptile, meet your master, getting smaller) but alas, they never busted out any of the rareties. But... I still had In This Twilight to look forward to, which was the highlight asside from The ghosts section.

Glad someone else caught the extra "fucking" in the greater good. I was like, hey..that sounded out of place, but neat. He reallyed liked his extra fucks for this show. he added the 'hey mother fucking pig" which is the best part of Live Piggy. And he eve did the "fucking half way through" "fuck add" durning Head Down.

You didn't miss much at all regarding the bug coming late, that was the fucking shittiest thing ever! 1/2 the front row had their heads down and were falling asleep and being bored and looking around at other shit. Uhm... Bug was 7:30-8:10 and NIN hit it at 8:45pm sharp.

I think i musta been zoned out, or so into the music 'cause I didn't hear a single person yell durning Ghosts. I heard 2 peopel fight besdie me, one girl said get your wrist out of my neck, twist it the other way and some guy start arguing with her and told her to relax and watch teh fucking show. and after that...I dind't hear any squabbling or heckelers for Ghosts. Maybe I was to transfixed with the music, 'cause I loved the ghosts part and I thought it was going to be a drag watching live. Boy was I wrong.

That was the best concert I have ever been to in my life. The stealth screens blew me away, the band was tight but informal, and it went on for ages!

Fantastic, I loved it. The tiny camera that Trent was using to project his face onto the screens was creepy and awesome!

Travel was a bitch, though. Coming over from Vancouver to the Island, the ferry had to turn around about 40 minutes out when some idiot decided to jump over the side. They launched a boat, went after him, and we went back to the terminal, so we got where we were going 2 hours late, getting in at 4:40 or so. Add one bus ride and I'm in town around 5:30, which fortunately gave me enough time to have dinner and a beer with my sister and friends.

And the Bug was embarrassingly bad.

I saw the Seattle show in July, so it was very cool to compare the first show to one of the last. This one was definitely tighter - no technical glitches - and the sound was a lot better. The setlist was different enough to keep it interesting (we got The Wretched and Vessel!) and the visuals had changed a fair amount as well.

I love the new treatment of Closer! I always start cringing when that gets played, but distorted grimaces really breathe new life in to that old chestnut

I also now officially hate Hurt live. The screaming and the "we love you, Trent"s just piss me off. Last night was better than Seattle, though, as the crowd singing along did finally drown out the screams by the end of the song.

The venue was good - I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. But I have to say the smoking nazis really have taken over. Not only can you not smoke anywhere on the property - you can't even bring cigarettes into the building! It's easier to get a joint in there than it is to get smokes. (I did get mine in, but I had to smuggle them in my pants!)

I got some very nice full stage pictures and my friend got some good close ups. Didn't see a lot of videotapers, but they may have been being discrete

A wonderful show (as usual).

^^ I was on that same ferry. What a pain in the ass, but I was impressed with how quickly the ferry responded (of course they would though, they do drills for this stuff all the time).

Superb show, and Wretched was the highlight for me too.

I was shocked at how bad the Bug was. Their album is quite good and I expected better than this. I bailed and waited them out on the merch lineup (which was looooonnnnnng - I was still in line long after the Bug finished and was getting worried that I'd still be there when NIN hit the stage).

I loved the sequential exit during In This Twilight - classy way to end!
So good to see Finck play, and Freese is a powerhouse!

I thought the crowd was little tame (they sure were in my section in the seats), although very appreciative.

Alas no video from me - didn't get organized enough to free up room on my camera before I left.

Wow, it's like a totally different show from far away... Looks completly different then from what it does up againt the rail hah. I wouldn't mind see the show from a different perspective to take in the whole experience. When you're up front, it tends to take away from the whole lighting and technical aspects of the show, as you're too busy watching Trent/the band and in awe at how close you are to even pay attention to the lights and screens.

yeah. i was pretty choked up about not getting GA tickets, but i had a GREAT view of the stage/light show, and there didn't seem to be too much pit action going on for the most part.

Absolutely! In Seattle, we were really close to the stage, but on the side. I deliberately got seats further away from the stage this time because I wanted to see the whole stage and get the full effect of the show. It really is a lot more theatrical from a distance and also really makes me bummed that we aren't going to get the super colossal James Cameron treatment!

I was in row T, section 112U, so in the bend to the right of the stage. Not great seats, but not terrible. Frankly, that place isn't big enough to have terrible seats, which is kind of refreshing considering I almost always go to GM Place or the Coliseum for shows. What I liked was the fact that we were far enough away to be able to see the imagery on the screens well. My sister-in-law was closer to the stage and didn't like the screens, but it was probably the oblique angle she was seeing them at.

In This Twilight blew me away. I was floored. Not only is it my favorite song off of YZ, the subtlety of the cityscape with occasional flashes and explosions was awesome, and when it started to peak and the background went orange, then bright white... goddamn, it gave me chills.

I uploaded one of my videos to Youtube, took almost 2 and 1/2 hours as well! My videos are approx 200mbs in space each.
Youtube also BUTCHERED the footage to a pile of shit... It's embarassing to even show, considering the quality of the original content.

If anyone has a good idea how to share the videos without having them lose their original quality, let me know, 'cause I am not gonna waste my time uploading the others if the quality is going to deminish completly.

Your video quality is really quite good man, you're not gonna get better out youtube. The audio is def overdriven, is the original audio like that on your file? Audio isnt a big prob though, someone can always sync better audio to the vid. Cant wait to see more of your vids!

I have 25 minutes of 640x480 30fps video from section 109. Used a canon powershot. Has 12x optical zoom so I have nice vid of stage action as well as mainly full stage/visual frame. Unfortunately my mics had a hard time with the louder sections so they is mild overdrive but nothing too bad, all normal level sections are clean and punchy from stereo mics... Autofocus would freak a bit during the crazy light sequences... But there are some golden moments. I did do some zoom and stuff cause it was for me...

Dont know if it could be used for the fan stuff being made cause other than 3 full tracks it's mainly snippets, but could offer alternative angles i suppose. here are screengrabs of the video file at native res:
