I was at the Missoula show, which is the first one NIN has ever played there. I saw the band earlier in Seattle and I was curious to see what would change between the opening of the tour and when it was winding down.

Presale ticket holders got in around an hour before anyone else was let into the building, so I was lucky to grab a spot at the rail right away. I ended up being directly in front of Robin who had on some seriously heavy eyeliner and tweaked out contacts.

The Bug himself was alright, but the Warrior Queen or whoever the hell was "singing" with him didn't go over well. Seemed liked all she screamed out was 'fuck' 'cock' and what I thought first was 'awkward' but turned out to be 'hardcore.' I really wish Deerhunter of Crystal Castles had opened, but anyway, it was an interesting experience.

The crowd was diverse, I saw a few ladies in their 60's as well as junior high kids. Kinda cool that the crowd was that diverse, but that's what happens when a band comes to a rural state for the first time in their carreer.

The Band launched into 1,000,000 and kept up the energy. I've seen NIN now three times and this was definatly the best performance I was able to see. The Ghosts set was particluarily moving, and the crowd stayed quiet enough to really appreciate what was going on onstage.

'Hurt' was a really nice moment and was performed with the full band instead of just a keyboard and pretty much all of the Adams center was singing along.

'Survivalism' 'Terrible Lie' and 'Head Like a Hole' had particuarily good energy behind them and the band seemed to really get into those songs and feed off the crowd's enthusiasm.

So thanks to Trent and Co. for finally hitting Missoula, it was worth the wait. I hope some of you out there from ETS got to attend!
