Can't find the thing I wrote the set list on, but man......... never seen them (4th time seen them now) have this much energy before I don't think. They were just alive up there.... very awesome. Trent talked a bunch about being fresh and out on their new tour and appreciated the full house, so he said. Lots of thanks going around, crowd was pretty great too.

No one screamed anything stupid during Hurt and the lights were amazing.


Definitely a show to remember. Wow. And I get to go tomorrow night to Calgary.

Other than the miserable fucking audience the show was pretty damn impressive. Around the middle of the set the screen came down and we were treated to, what I thought was the highlight, "Me, I'm Not" and "Vessel". I can't really recall the setlist, but it's similar to the ones I've seen for the last 3 shows. They played all the staples, and a lot of stuff from YZ. The integration of sound and video was my favorite aspect of the show. They did some brilliant stuff with the screens. The end of "The Greater Good" has to be seen to be believed.

The only part of the evening that sucked were all the assholes behind us who couldn't contain their impatience while hearing the moodier instrumental portion. Even if you don't like slower music have a little respect. People were yelling things like "this is a rock show", "louder", and "you're killing the vibe, Trent". What a load of a crap.

This should be correct, don't know the numbers for the Ghosts songs.

I think the ghosts were 1, 25, and 19.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Crowd wasn't that bad, although the section I was in (all pre orders) was extra loud... so who knows. The instrumental stuff was awesome, ghosts really goes well into the set.

Set list looks right. Hopefully we get a different song or two tomorrow.


they let the pre orders go in like 10 minutes before the regular people, I thought it was like an hour different, not 10 mins..... oh well. early is early I guess. got my poster.

crystal castles is alright stuff live, anything is better than last tour with queens of the stone age.... god that sucked.

That set list looks pretty much correct.

Took a few pictures if anybody wants to see them. Only had a phone on me so they're not the best quality. My phone was acting up so they're mostly from the end of the show.

Yeah, they did.

Trent playing the xylophone and the other similar instrument, or possibly a smaller xylophone was great, and the ghosts instrumentals were really crazy, good to see the band going back into that direction for the live stuff. Some great instruments up there for the ghosts tracks. Could hardly believe what I was seeing, so great.

Agreed. Did some zombies get loose in Edmonton and shuffle around chewing on everyone in the show line-up or something? I felt some seriously snotty-ass vibes on the floor amongst the motionless drones. WTF?

Other than that, the effects for this tour are mind-blowingly fantastic; I had to remind myself at times, "Hey, there's a band up there, remember?" and stop gazing at the pretty flashing lights. It's pretty easy to see where your ticket money goes.....

Incredible show, CAN'T WAIT for the Calgary show. Only 14 and a half hours to go........

I seem them later in the tour, would love to give up "closer" for Capital G or Last.

Amazing show. Set list is accurate.

Crowd at the front was pretty viscious and got really rude at times. During Hurt, some guy at the front was yelling shit like "DON'T SING HURT!" and "JOHNNY CASH DOES IT BETTER!". Ugh.

Anyway, overall, it was a super high energy explosion of awesomeness that only Trent could deliver. Robin was equally as amazing and seemed to fill his old NIN shoes comfortably. Additionally, the light show blew everyone away. It's absolutely one of the most beautiful sets I have ever seen.

Yes, Vessel was played and it was REALLY well done. I'm not a huge fan of the song but I really enjoyed it live.

The girl that got Trent's tambourine admitted to biting some other girl for it.

Didn't hear anything specific during the slower instrumentals or Hurt, but there was quite a bit of shouting that made it hard to hear. Sucks that people are assholes like that.



Oh well, I had a fun time and I'll be at the Calgary show to compare.

I WOULD DO ANYTHING TO HEAR VESSEL LIVE! My fav. all-time NIN song. I hope they play it on Saturday!!!

Vessel is one song I don't enjoy too much, but still like, on the album, but live it was really great.

That was my favorite Wretched to date.
You need 3-D sunglasses for Gave up. Holy brightness! I love how the lights appear to breathe. So trippy.

That was my favorite Hurt to date. I think it needs to be said that that crowd was so awesome for that. The whole place singing along and not a single thing thrown or yelled at the quiet parts. It was so nice to get a Hurt (also the old skool version) like that.

I really like the new screens, so many different things to do on them and the scenic shots during the Ghosts tracks are sweet too.

Only time breakdown is cool too. Too bad Robins guitar was cutting out.

I still think that there is a Corona chunk played while the screens are moved etc. And I see no one mentions the end is kind of a zero sum outro for the end...

And now to the Saddledome. Can't wait...Capital G would be so fitting for Calgary and the oil boom....

Amazing show!! Against the rail, in the center! unbelievable.

I caught some pretty good video clips of this! which I'll have to try posting tomorrow, after resting up from the Calgary show!

Singing the greater good.....while broadcasting Trent's face into the morphing screen.

As a fan from the early 90's who had practically written off Mr. Reznor a few years back, I just want to say this show utterly blew me away.

I was so glad to hear a set-list 75% dedicated to his music output of the past 18 months!!

Viva la Reznor.

1) he didn't do a hit parade
2) he closed the show with In This Twilight
3) backdrops were hypnotic, artistic, and fit the new music
4) the man still gives 100% on stage like he means it

It's not 1994. It's way better, man.

After seeing 2005's show I didn't think the performance would be topped. I can honestly say I thought wrong. This show proved to be the best live arena rock show I've been to.
Vessel was fucking brilliant. The lighting and stage setup (for the entire set) had everyone screaming but you could tell jaws were dropped in awe at the same time.

I do agree that it was somewhat hard to hear all the elements of some songs due to the wild (and awesomely enthusiastic) audience on the floor.
I can't complain though considering this was a concert for a very big band. If people want to get wild, hey this is a great excuse to do so.

Trent was looking great and Justin has earned his stripes in my opinion. Josh Freese can play the fucking drums. Amazing.
The Johnny Cash comments upset me, but overall this was a very respectful audience.

The friend I brought isn't as big into Nine inch nails as I am, but by the end of the night he had been converted. He loved the lights and screens, and from what he'd heard from nin, wasn't expecting such an angry guitar tone, heavy fast sound and crushing intensity.

Anybody talk to the girl who caught the tambourine? The biting story sounds pretty lame. I'd be pissed if someone snatched that from me.

Overall, a much more realized performance and live set up than the Rock incarnation of the with teeth tour. I'll be more than upset if we don't get a Lights In the Sky Tour DVD.

One more thing, I must applaud the presale/ will call situation. It all went very smoothly without any problems for us, and the people working were helpful and polite. The tickets had great design also, definitely want to hang on to those as a nice momentum.
One of the women working there told me she worked for the band directly. Any info on that? I asked her if she knew Alessandro and she smiled at me and said she knew the band.

Either way It was definitely worth the stress of the Music today shit back in may.

Awesome show. My friend and I were at the rail dead center and by the end of the show we were probably 8 ft to the left. The place was packed and the crowd seemed to take a while to get into it but when it did the pit was fucking INSANE.

Rob was in front of me pretty much the whole time snapping pictures. I saw at least 2 people filming the show with what looked like miniDV cameras so maybe we'll see that footage sometime in the future.

After the show I managed to grab a setlist from the tech booth so I can verify that that last set list posted was 100% what it was.

Yeah, like mercyshallow said, the pre-sale thing went pretty smoothly. We were let in maybe 15 minutes before everyone else which made us be able to get front and center at the rail.

Ah they played In This Twilight? Fuck.. I left at Hurt because I honestly couldn't stand anymore. Great show though.. really great. HLAH was some good times \m/ When's the next one, Trent? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

seattle/Edmonton setlist Differences:
SEATTLE got The Warning, The Great Destroyer, and The Hand That Feeds
EDMONTON got The Wretched, Me I'm Not, and Vessel.

Well F-ME! That was AWESOME! Great job - thank you for sharing!

Show was amazing, it was the first time seeing NIN and i wish i would have bought Calgary tickets to, I got the setlist sheet which i plan on scanning soon as well as some really good photos from up front.

Here are scans of the setlist I managed to grab from the tech booth after the show:

Wow absolutely amazing show. I have gone to almost every large rock band live including The Stones, AC/DC. GnR, and gotta say NIN put them all to shame.

The entire show from sound to visuals was mind blowing. Being front row often the sound is not great but it was perfect at this show.

THE STAGE

Instead of trying to just be bigger then the next band with larger pyro, bigger stage, naked women, ect, Trent merged complex music with Simplistic effects that were complex in their execution throughout the show.

I have to say even if one is not a huge NIN fan this is a show to see just for the stage and the overall use of effects.

It is also one of those shows where it is not until it is over and your brain is able to fully process everything you have just experienced to understand that you just witnessed the best concert in the new Millennium.

All I can say if you have a chance to go to more then one of the shows on this tour DO IT. I did not and wish I had gone to the Calgary show. I have my fingers crossed he will make the treck up to Saskatoon during a 2nd leg of NA tour.

If they come back anywhere close (Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Regina or something) I'm going again, no matter what.


I've seen them 5 times now (3 times on the With Teeth tour and just the other day in Edmonton and Calgary) and these last two shows were better than the With Teeth tour.

What is amazing to me besides all the visuals (best in the world for any band, any time..... ever), is that I said this all on the With Teeth tour, that was the ultimate stage show, music and energy. ... well.. it WAS until this tour! Amazing.

Awesome videos dude! In the Echoplex video, my friend and I were standing right beside you, to the left. I remember thinking, "I hope that guys videos turn out good". We were crushing this poor girl that must've been 4 feet tall haha. But she really toughed it out I was impressed.
