Incredible show. Someone actually took their shirt off and swung it around their head during Discipline. The guy running around the stage during Piggy was classic.

Great show, my better half managed to get a <slightly abused> setlist. I was sorta worried about the pre-sale seats I got from seeing other people's views but my view was excellent.
Oh and A Place To Bury Strangers impressed me, even the song that sounded like feedback from start to end.

Everybody at the Ford Ctr show Friday Aug 15 lets talk. My 5th time to see TRENT & NIN and I'll be damned if it just doesnt' get bettoer and better each and every time. I am still a little perplexed about how they pulled off such an incredible stage show, I think I might need new retinas and corneas! A great solid 2 hours covering the entire spectrum. The audience at first did not know wjhat to do with the material from GHOSTS, but as the music built to an incredible crescendo an the combination of a truly storm of visual effects, (and I do mean a storm, if you were there, you know what I mean) the audience almost collapsed with enthusiasm. It is clear TRENT loves his nail-heads, and he never dissapoints. The only album it seems he stayed away from was THE FRAGILE, and the song BURN from the NATURAL BORN KILLERS sndtrk, which is usually a staple at NIN shows. It was truly a great experience and I can't wait till Concert #6 rolls around!!! What did you guys think my fellow brothers and sisters!

First of all FUCK YOU to the guy that tried the whole show to get on the rail next to me. Karma is a bitch.
Secondly, during the Ghosts songs, there was a group of people about 5 rows back in the center that were going, "1,2,3 Go," and then pushing. What the fuck is up with that?
The line was great, about 10 or so people there by 10am, maybe 50-60ish by 3pm. When they let us into the holding area just prior to being let in, there was a line of barricades, maybe 4 or 5 of them lined up. We orderly lined up in the order we had been at the far end. The security told us that they were taking all the barricades down at once, and we all were going to "go for it." That is the most idiotic method of crowd control I have ever heard of. Totally fucked up.
So, when the barricades were taken down, I went to the closet entrance to the floor. There were ushers all around the arena, I figured I would have a better shot of running on the floor than running than running past the ushers to another door. Bad call on my part, the two entrances onto the floor that were closest to where we were let in had ushers at the bottom, preventing people from getting onto the floor, while the farther entrances had no ushers. Luckily, I managed to get the rail in front of JMJ (:)!) The people on one side of me got there at 3, and on the other side 5.
For those not wanting to read a fangirl moment, please skip to the next paragraph. The red shirt had deodorant streaks on it, and a whole under the arm. I really like how TR has gone all out on the production, for example, he cut his hand on the light screen during Only, so the next song was The Hand That Bleeds.
I was slightly disappointed when The Frail went into Closer, but it was made up for with Ghosts 14!!!, TBOTE and The Good Soldier. TR's voice seemed ok up until The Good Soldier, and then it seemed like his range was reduced.
edit: A piece of advice for A Place to Bury Strangers, when you break your guitar, that usually means the show is over, especially when you are the opening band. And, maybe a little less strobe lights.

I was in section 105 row B. Just got back to the Sheraton hotel and man was that show something else. My only minor complaint was the douche who was in our seats when we got there at NIN took stage...but one quick word with security got him out of there. His ACTUAL seat was the one right behind mine and he sat the whole show pouting like a little bitch. Grow up and if you really want to be there, get into the show instead of sitting the whole time.

Trent's voice was definitely in poor shape still for falsetto notes, but Trent did a very solid job. He mentioned he couldn't remember the last time he was in Oklahoma City (which was the last time I was here...for the recording of BYIT) but he mentioned the crowd was definitely feeding him a lot of energy and thanks us for that. This line up kicks ass and Justin is the fucking man on bass. Really great show, but i'm looking forward to being on the rail for Dallas come monday. I'll post pics up from this show soon.

just got home. amazing show. my 2nd nin show, the first being back in 2006 for the show that made part of the BYIT dvd. the crowd was definitely louder/crazier this time around, to me at least. some dude got on stage and ran around during Piggy i think it was, i remember blue graphics on screen and the band was inbetween screens, so i think it was Piggy. Trent said something to the effect of "I don't remember last time I was here in OKC, but i dont remember you all being so crazy". I was in section 114 directly stage left, so i couldn't see all the awesome visuals all the time, but still an amazing show, and i would say i liked this show more than the dvd taping show back in March 2006. but anything show with NIN is great. the opening band delivered some true "total sonic annihilation" like their myspace page says. very loud. i liked them. overall, NIN is awesome and i would definitely pay to see them again. great show. great night. set list was pretty much the same, no The Wretched, bye bye!!

Amazing show! First one i've been to on this tour, and 7th nin show overall, and i think this has to be one of the best. The presentation was amazing and i always wondered how trent could top himself, and yet he managed to do it.

I wonder if A Place to Bury Strangers were intentionally trying to induce people into seizures with their neverending strobe lights? I saw several people around me shielding their eyes or watching the back of the arena during that song to avoid the lights. NIN had a lot of energy and seemed to be very into their performance. Also when the guy ran out on stage during Piggy and ran two laps around the band while swinging his shirt around above his head was completely awesome! I wonder how he got up there in the first place. Did anyone see him get tackled by two or more people? Looked kind of brutal. Great setlist, amazing show. The lights/videos were beyond anything I could have imagined. I can't wait to see them again.

Despite having to drive 4 1/2 hrs back home, plus another 2 because I took a wrong exit and didn't realize it for a while, AND hitting a deer and fucking up my car, it was a great show.
Met the two ladies in line who met Josh at the hotel last night, which was really crazy because I had just been telling my friend about that on the drive up.
Lights were amazing, set list was good, though I was disappointed at the lack of Fragile material.
My question at the end of the show was, how do you not play "Lights in the Sky" on the Lights in the Sky tour?? I was positive that at the end of the show, as they were playing the outro to "In This Twilight" and the rest of the band left, that Trent would remain on stage alone to play it; I was wrong and saddened.
Edit: Oh, and I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one that appreciated "A Place to Bury Strangers" somewhat. The music was meh, but when he broke the string off the guitar and started playing the other strings with it, it made me happy. haha

Anyway, great fucking show. Definitely a lot more fun than the last OKC show (the BYIT taping show), which was my first NIN show. I was completely ecstatic, one person behind the railing with a FANTASTIC view of the stage. I was pretty excited that, during Survivalism, I got up on the screen via one of the stage cameras. That was pretty damn cool.
The runner during Piggy was AHAHAH AH AH HAHA HHAHAH HAH HAHAHAH AH AH AH AHHAHHAHHAHH AHH AHAH HAHAH AHH AHAHHHAHAHAHHHA HAH Ah z. The Ghosts were pretty epic too. I just could not have had a better time, really.
Although turnout was a little disappointing.

Great show, Trent was as energetic as always. His voice sounded a little strained for the first couple songs but nice and strong for the rest of the show. I had been aching to hear songs from Year Zero and those songs were definitely the highlights, especially The Warning.
When Josh Freese was onstage for Echoplex tapping those blocks on the light screen for the drum beats, someone yelled out "I'd like to buy a vowel!" I laughed at that one.
The guy who ran onstage during Piggy was a fucking idiot. Trent is someone you don't want to piss off during a show. He might make his audience pay for acts of stupidity, like the lighter incident during Hurt where he ended the show early.
Probably the greatest concert I will ever see.

I had never been the OKC. We drove from Fayetteville, AR (4 hrs). I was really surprised about the downtown. It wasn't packed and crowded, and it felt comfortable before the show. The venue was actually not bad at all. Leaving after the event, the traffic was really easy going, too. Big thumbs up for the city.
A Place to Bury Strangers:
Opening band were OK, but kind of a poor man's Sonic Youth (the lead singer played just like Thurston). Did anyone see the drummer lose a drumstick and have to dig down by his foot to find it? Why didn't he have a spare pair reachable like most drummers?

A lot of Year Zero, but only a small taste of The Fragile. The wall effects blew my mind. Loved the scene when the rainfall had a big hole where you could see the stage. Vessel was one of the highlights visually.

well, another nin show, another amazing experience. i was in low in 115, and had an incredible view of everything. i had lost my voice by the end of march of the pigs, so i was glad when he played the frail, i needed to catch my breath. the setlist was awesome, god given and good soldier in the encore! i don't know how people can say any setlist was disappointing, you're at a nine inch nails show, and you're finding things to complain about. i cannot relate to that. i'm so happy to be in the same room as trent, he could play whatever the fuck he wants to, as far as i'm concerned. as for no fragile material (other than the frail), i didn't care, i saw the fragility tour, so i've seen those songs. i'll take head down over the big come down, but i've seen it twice already. the dude on stage during piggy was hilarious, the band seemed like they didn't notice him, or just didn't care. ghosts 14 was an unexpected surprise, it and ghosts 19 are amazing live. robin going off at the end of ghosts 31 was the shit. and i've heard people complain about the 'electronic' portion (warning, vessel) not being loud enough, but i didn't think that was the case. justin is awesome, i was curious how he would fit with nin, but he's the best bass player trent's ever had, no question in my mind. i loved the ending, with each member leaving one at a time, and then trent at the keys. visuals, setlist, everything was perfect.
and as far as the song lights in the sky goes, that would kill the vibe at a show like this. the ghosts songs and hurt are mellow (kinda), but they're still very dense, musically. i know the tour is called lights in the sky, but he does say, "the sky is filled with light" during in this twilight. that makes sense to me, and it's a better song.

They were trying to get everybody to push up or to the side.
Overall the people at this show were probably the most redneck/meathead-ish that I've been around.
Worst crowd, but one of the best NIN shows.
The visuals were amazing, but the sound could have used a boost. Not loud enough.

My wife and I were in 114 row E 1 and 2, directly on Robin's side of the stage, and it was a great place. During the openers Trent, Justin, and Robin at different points were about 5 feet away watching, and Josh came and sat down during the YZ songs.
Guy and gal in row D 1 and 2 were awesome for moving over so my pregnant wife could see since she couldn't stand up for very long. I owe you beers. People in row E 3 and 4 were extra nice. Douchebags that didn't belong in our section that kept coming down the steps and standing around in the way talking and fawning can eat me. Staff dealt with that shit expiditiously, so I give them credit for that, though I'm not sure how that skinny fuck running around on stage got past them ...

We were in the section close to stage right. When the show ended we decided to watch everything for a bit to avoid the cattle herds on the stairs. I jokingly said to my girlfriend, you should yell at a tech for a setlist, and she did. One of the guys loading up stuff said just a sec and went backstage for one. Great fucking show. Didn't seem like there were as many as last time at the Ford Center, but it was just as loud. Met a lot of cool people. The static screen that opens up when Trent sings is amazing. Letting You is the new mosher, so intense, right up there with March of the Pigs. Glad to hear TBOTE, God Given, and The Good Soldier and Only. Wish we would have got Down In It. Oh well, can't wait until the Tulsa show.
On a side note, I've been really disappointed that Lights In the Sky and Demon Seed aren't being played at all on this tour. Those are arguably my two favorite tracks on The Slip

I saw them on this tour in Seattle and this show was a lot more polished. Trents voice sounded better than it did in the WT tour, but the only Fragile song was The Frail? Still makes me sad.

EDIT: My fucking ITT video is corrupted or something! I get an error every time I try to play it. Everything all of the other videos work great, though.

I was disapointed about the lack of FRAGILE too, it always seems that every musician, artist, band always choose one album to yield away from. But all in all it was tremendous my friend. Glad you had a great time, sorry to hear about the ride home but glad your safe!!!!

The fucking line snafu PISSED me the fuck off. I didn't stand in line all GD day to get a SUPER PRIME spot alllll the way on the end of the rail. I was like the 10th person there and by the time I made it to the rail with the fucked up cattle pen riot-inducing "GO FOR IT" and the damn ushers taking their sweet ass time and making us stop and wait and not let anyone through like damn kindergartners punishing us for the line pushing and trying to get on the damn floor (I saw them stop and make some people go back and walk when they ran on the floor too) - there was at least 70 people on the rail area already. The guys who got front and center got there at like 5:00. Nice for them, but pisses people like me off who camped out all damn day to get a spot in the middle. It's times like this that make me be a whiny crybaby and say that I MISS THE SPIRAL. Brandi would have never let that bs happen. In fact, I personally saw her ensure we got to the floor in line order (past that you're on your own buddy!) three times when the venue tried to pull some fucked up bullshit like this. That was my only complaint about the whole NIN show. {name withheld} TR Security knew we were pissed the hell off and tried to make it up to us by giving us some picks. That was nice. The opening band, however, I could have done without - the strobe lights made me feel nauseous. Guys, you simply can't put strobe lights on full power fast as possible blinking for 10 minutes straight and expect people to enjoy that. I cheered when they left stage cause I couldn't have taken one more strobe light!
Trent forgot his own lyrics three times and I found it funny that he flubbed his own material, although if you didn't know the songs well you wouldn't have caught it cause he tried to smoothly carry on. His voice sounded great except he couldn't do the falsetto and it sounded odd to drop the pitch on in this twilight (why would you put that in the set list if your voice isn't up to par, I wonder?). The guy running onstage during ghosts, well that was idiotic, and I found myself wishing Trent would have knocked the guy out personally. I have a feeling the security did that though - they were roughing him up pretty good when they grabbed him to take him out and decided to take him out back instead! I was into the whole show, dancing and singing and screaming all the way throughout. I can't wait for the next one! I wanted to go to Houston and Dallas but I had a wedding to shoot here. I have some cameraphone pics on my myspace, if you have me added over there. Oh, and Robin volleyed me a water bottle. I didn't just catch it by chance... he made sure I was looking and ready for it before he gently tossed it to me.

Any tapers get this show? After looking at a few of the setlists from other shows, it looks like "The Beginning Of The End" was added in place of "Reptile" in the encore, and would be great to hear that again.

Do you have a Mac? If so, you could drag and drop that AIFF file into Garageband and break it up in there. It's kinda time consuming, but you can get decent results with it. I've done that before with larger files, but we'd have to be willing to leave the window open for a while, like overnight or something. I just got home a few hours ago.
Wow, this show was crazy. Other than a few people, the audience where I was standing seemed okay. I had a decent view of Robin the whole time( on the rail), and Trent was *right* there, sweat spatter close. I would have had a really good view of Josh Fuckin' Freese, but the security guy was standing in my line of sight 60% of the time. I have several pictures, but only a few turned out worth a flip. I would love to get a recording/pictures/video from this show to keep as a permanent remind of how awesome of a time I had.
I met tons of cool people in line, including this girl who said they played "Burn" at every show she had been to, sad to say this one was the deal breaker.
I was sad not to get "Reptile" but I moshed so hard during "Survivalism" that I still have trouble with my knee and neck. It's incredible live.
I talked to the girl who was one half of the first pair in line, and she said they arrived at 3 a.m.

I was in row A of sect 114 and saw Robin walk by. It was right in front of me , but it took a minute to process who it actually was. After that Trent, Rob, and Freese walked by. I knew who they were the minute they passed, but I didn't want to be the dick that exposed trent and Co. with a couple hundred people within grabbing distance.
Anywho, the show was really great and I got a setlist!!!!! Pretty awesome. Not to mention hearing the next day that they are coming back to Oklahoma. Tulsa is a lot closer to me than OKC by an hour and a half.
I know a few people at the BOK that are hopefully getting our group backstage passes for the next show, so hopefully that will be the time of my life.

It's probable that Brandi, like JT, eventually learned from bad experiences - but it happened.
I forget how many people were in line when i arrived, but I must say that the the line management was fantastic - everyone was cool, there wasn't anyone "holding a place for 10 people" like the shows i saw in the US in 2006.
And the process of collecting the tickets and just moving the line over a few meters was breathtakingly beautiful.
Of course, musictoday was still full of shit when they said "collect tickets and enter immediately"
They didn't check ID on venue entry, just the tickets - so scalpers are fine to keep scalping.
Speaking about full of shit, kinda stupid of them to put up a "NIN fan club line" sign. There was no-one present who was confused by it, but that's not the point.
The point is that The Spiral, dead as it is, is the "Fan Club", and the line was for "nin.com presale", not "spiral presale" (there were OTHER signs that only said "nin.com presale")
It was a shame about the line mess inside. But JT (I assume he's the tour manager instead of Sully) seems to have learned from it, and is on top of everything now. The houston presale line management was heaven.

A lot of people spend more time in line than they do inside the show - or even driving to the show - so the line experience seems like it should be pretty important, but there's very few line reports in the tour journal, ever.

His guitar work at the end was stand-out for me also.

Fantastic show. We were directly on the side, but it was still amazing. I'm actually glad we were sitting there because we got to see totally different views in OKC and Dallas. The production value on this tour really cannot be beaten, I was thoroughly impressed.

all in all, a great experience. a place to bury strangers was okay... i'm sure they would have sounded better... had they not kept playing with broken strings, that is. we were in section 104, row h, seats 5 & 6.. pretty decent seats, really. i dont really have any complaints as far as the people sitting around us.. although i do feel sorry for the poor girl in front of me that kept getting beer spilled on her. the people sitting next to me, however, were awesome people. they were out of towners (kansas city, MO) so we showed them around bricktown and had a great time.
the only thing i think that could have made that night any better would have been a meet & greet.. or something to that effect. i'm sure i'm not the only one who feels that way. other than that, i was far from disappointed.
i'm excited to hear that they're coming back to oklahoma.. i definitely plan on being at the tulsa show
the only thing i think that could have made that night any better would have been a meet & greet.. or something to that effect. i'm sure i'm not the only one who feels that way. other than that, i was far from disappointed.

I took tons of pics. OKC I was stage left rail mostly because of the chaos when they let us in. But Houston and Dallas I was dead center rail. I got the best pics in Dallas.

I've noticed a lot of uncredited re-torrenting going on at nintorrents.
People who repost torrents should always add a note to their torrent description, indicating that it is not their torrent and where the original uploader can be found - in case people want to say thanks or whatever

The first one thrown to the left was caught by the guy standing right in front of me. He said he didn't even see it coming, just came out of nowhere & hit him in the chest. I offered him all the $$ I had in my pocket for it, and he looked like he was about to agree, but some girl standing next to him kept saying "NO THAT'S PRICELESS! ARE YOU CRAZY? PRICELESS!!"
Well I go to the Dallas show a few days later, and guess who's standing right next to me? Mr. Tambourine Man. I gave him shit about how @ OKC he shouldn't have been standing there in the first place........but he was a really nice guy and told me if he caught it again he would give it to me.......but no flying tambourines @ Dallas.
