Just got back to Detroit after fighting oragne barrels. I tried to stop by the ballpark and get some relief picthing.
I taped the whole show and most of A Place to Bury Strangers. I missed the begining because there was only one entrance to get onto and off of the main floor and it was a long long line. It felt like a fire hazard to me.
I will post them in FLAC tomorrow. Time for bed.

It's too bad we didn't get In This Twilight, that was probably my highlight from Cleveland and Detroit. I still got my Year Zero fix with Me I'm Not and TGD instead of the Warning and Vessel. Meet Your Master was pretty sweet too.

FlameNeoG, you should check out the official live "Hurt" video there is both crowd surfing and fans showing appreciation by cheering. The only thing I heard from the crowd during hurt was a fan yelling for seemingly no reason "show some respect". I think that if there was any disappointment from Trent Reznor, it would be because the songs didn't translate the way he wanted to without all of the fore and backdrops that were more than likely planned. But then again, I could be completely wrong.
I loved the show, it felt short and although the stage show I saw was awesome I wish I could have seen the full blown setup like I have in the past. I knew that the Seagate would not be able to host a show like this going in. I don't fault the band one bit.
The crowds annoy me a bit these days and are completely different from the Self-Destruct tour. Back then there was so much energy and moving around. Now it seems people are more interested in using there cellphones and cameras than actually watching the show itself. Some people seem to get overly annoyed if you accidentally bump them or even worse get really annoyed when you accidentally invade the 5 ft. radius bubble they create for their girlfriend to watch the show.
I think that if you get floor tickets you should be there to move around, get bumped and laugh it off, the person didn't mean it. If you don't like that kind of stuff or your just going to continually swap between your cell phone and your mini-dv cam there are some really comfortable seats that you can sit in.
I may be completely off base here. Maybe this is what concerts are these days.

Cleveland gave me like 10 really good bruises. Toledo, maybe 1. Michigan, had to do seats, too sore. I was lucky in Toledo to have two GREAT kick-ass girls behind me who protected me on rail. But in Cleveland I had to fight people off. I thought I'd have to get pulled out from the pit but I held my ground because even b4 the show started these three assholes behind me stated how they were going to annoy us and get rail. So I said fuck that. And I stayed in. We talked to Rob a bit before the show and he told us that whomever booked this venue had obviously fucked up and that Trent was really pissed. I think Trent just said," Fuck it. While this show may not have been as technically impressive as the rest, I am still really glad I got to be there for it. It really made me remember that this setup doesn't just magically appear up there overnight, and that there are people really working everyday to make it happen. I think that crew made the best of this one - and people who hadn't been lucky enough to see multiple shows, probably had no idea what they were missing!
I'd been waiting for The Great Destroyer...and it was so worth the wait! That song is ridiculous live!!! Thanks for that one TR. This was the one show that me and my friends had planned to lay back for and really check out the visuals. When we got the word it wasn't gonna be up to snuff, we ditched that plan and took the rail again. I guess "taking it all in" is on the backburner until the fall. Oh well.
