good show, robin was awesome, GWB speech was priceless and made THTF so fucking great and finally seeing non-entity.

greatest songs were reptile, tds, dead souls, sicnh(!!) and MOTP - i was in the pit for that one. fun!
Grand Pontiff
oh yes, TDS is much better live!!

I loved the show. as it wasn't sold out, it was like a bigger club concert (with 2000-2500 people or more, I really don't know)

The setlist was killer, though. But we all survived it after all :)

Setlist above is correct.

Review will be in this post in a couple of days.

My videos, including GWB speech, here.

Yes, really. Great performance, great crowd.

I uploaded some photos to my Flickr.

My 10th NIN show, in my home country, wohoo! :D

It was sooo great to see them again, I just realized (again) how much I love seeing them live. My personal highlights:

Reptile - really, it was a surprise, sounded so great
La Mer
The Downward Spiral - never heard it live (and after that: Mr. Self Destruct - wow!)
The Good Soldier
and to hear that Trent loved the city :)

Well, then come back soon! :D

My videos on YouTube (from the 1st row, in front of Robin).

Oh, and thank you, Nine Inch Nails! Plus: thanks for the water, Robin! :)

That was really a great show.
I had some good seats, I've been in the crowd on Mister Self Destruct and until Dead Souls.

Reptile was amazing, with the smoke and the green light it looked like the band was in some radioactive/poisonous swamp.

The band was so motivated this night ! They were so crazy ^^

Long ride home + few days of trying to avoid RL, enough time for the experience to sink in... some of my impressions and random thoughts:

All my other plans fell through so this was my first and, most likely, last NIN show, but I got to see The Downward Spiral live - that's about as good as it can get! Incredibly powerful! Reptile was amazing too. So were Burn, Mr. Self Destruct, Non-Entity, Dead Souls, Last... A strange thing happened during Hurt - there was a moment of the (almost) complete silence in the crowd and for a split second I let myself believe that no screaming would commence... wishful thinking.

I missed the sound of drums in SICNH, though I liked the idea of Ilan taking over the keyboards duty from Trent at the beginning of the song after he had already started playing - nice little choreography (possibly needs a bit more rehearsing to sound seamless). I think 1000000 has more impact when played at the beginning of the set, but it seems to me nothing can match the energy of MOTP regardless of the place on the setlist.

I wanted to see NIN live for so long and it was strange mix of feelings when it finally happened. I've seen quite a few videos of entire shows, hundreds of clips on Youtube and Vimeo, many many photos, read the tour journal... when the band took the stage everything looked so familiar, kind of déjà vu. Anyway, I was near the rail on the right, but got pushed a bit to the back about 2/3 into the show; at that time I was getting a bit tired to resist the waves of the pit.

I liked the Alec Empire's set, those beats shook the hell out of me. Not very long but it sounded great.

This is for sure one of my favorite concert experiences. Now back to reading/watching bits and pieces about all those shows I have no way of attending...

edit:
After the show I briefly met few "invaders". I'm looking forward to Mr. Panda's torrent : )

Finally home. Fucking amazing trip, I must tell. We had to skip visiting Balaton, but otherwise everything went as planned.

[s]June[/s]July 21.
The whole day in the car driving from Minsk to Krakow. Then had a walk through the city center in the night. Very beautiful.

[s]June[/s]July 22.
Driving to Wieliczka in the morning. Had an amazing excursion into the salt mine. Then driving to Zakopane area and staying for the night there.

[s]June[/s]July 23.
Driving through Slovakia and visiting the Spiš Castle. Finally arrived to Budapest by ~11 pm. Our flat was at the Szondi utca.

[s]June[/s]July 24.
Budapest is easily the most beautiful city I've ever been to. The first half of the day was spent at the Gellért Hill and walking aroud The Parlament and Margaret Island.

Then came evening and the NIN show, my second after St. Petersburg in 2007.
Me and my companion arrived to the venue exactly at 7 pm. The length of queue scared me at first, but I've quickly found out that those with the tickets printed at home should go through another line which was 2 people long. Sorry guys :) We settled in the middle, 8~10 meters from the stage, but as the Alec Empire set started we moved more to the left (Justin's) side. Alec's performance was much, much better than I expected, but I had't recognezed any of the songs (having only listened to Futurist and The Golden Foretaste Of Heaven). That's what Alec responded after I asked for the setlist at lastfm: Hi NineInchRuiner (that's my lastfm nickname), most of the set was improvised electronic music...me on synths and machines...so there is no real set list ....sorry...;) all the best, Alec.
Then came NIN and everybody went nuts. The best songs for me were Burn, La Mer, Non-Entity, TDS, Mr Self Destruct, 1.000.000, and the last 4 songs. The only bad thing at the show was a watermelon eaten an hour before moving at the venue :)
Then was driving home, lots of beer and deep sleep.

[s]June[/s]July 25.
Walking around the sightseeings again, this time the Royal Casle and the Fishermen's Bastion. Then we visited Széchenyi thermal bath and, relaxed, went to sleep.

[s]June[/s]July 26.
The whole day in the car, driving from Budapest to Warsaw.

[s]June[/s]July 27.
A short shopping in Warsaw (lack of money = no shopping for ya) and then driving to Vilnius.

[s]June[/s]July 28.
Hanging with the friends and relatives in Vilnius, visiting aqua park.

[s]June[/s]July 29.
Driving hooooome, sweeeet hooome. The End.
