Notes
The best recording of the Hate 1990 tour. There are silver CD's to this show called "Misslewister". It is taken from source 1a. This recording has been highlighted on RITC's NIN Recording of the Week.

This is the only soundboard available from 1990 and notably the earliest soundboard recording of NIN. This is from the silver CD's "Hammer Hard." There is some hiss in the recording. I am guessing because this audio source is ripped from the Pro-Shot video that they did this night as well. I bet if you got this from the actual DAT/Cassette soundboard master it will sound flawless. Another note is that many list this as being the Detroit, St. Andrews Hall show in July of 1990. This is not true and its mislabeled. But nonetheless this is an essential tape to own if you are a NIN fan. Highlighted on RITC's NIN Recording of the Week.

Back in 2018, The Master Tape Network released the "new" master tape transfer of this tape. It was upscaled to 720p as well as to 60fps. I reached out to the MTN (it hasn't been updated in a handful of years) for a copy of it. They wanted money, but they'd throw this in if I bought a few other tapes from them. Thinking I would get the raw trasfner of it. I just received the YouTube rip of it. Very disappointed. It is great to know that the master tape exists somewhere. This definitely is the better version of the two.

Thanks to JLW for sending over this master copy transfer! Although this is the master copy, it is not known who the taper is or which mic they used. It's a massive upgrade from the 1st generation copy I had transferred back in 2014. It was way too fast and I never got around to playing with the speed. This is the definitive tape, obviously. We can now confirm that NIN did not play Head Like A Hole this night, knowing that this was the full recording. There were many issues with equipment not working at this show to open for Peter Murphy. Drum samples not working, guitars not connected for one reason or another. Trent talks with that fans for a few seconds while they try to get a few things fixed on stage. I would assume with all the technical issues and having a strict set time for the opener. They had to scratch HLAH from the set.

JB's first NIN recording. Amazing recording and the best one from 1990. The intro and the first 15 seconds of Terrible Lie are distorted but the rest is fantastic! Check the sample you will not be dissapointed!

This is by far the best audience tape from the supporting tour of Jesus & Mary Chain. Great recording and no crowd noise what so ever. Highlighted on RITC's NIN Recording of the Week. This also is the same recording as on the silver CD "Industiral Iguanas."
