I have to agree. After I gave up on on the seats I paid for, and went and found some that allowed me to see the stage; I found my self sitting-- and I do mean sitting, for most of the show. I attended both. I was on the floor in 2006, had seats last night. I chalked up how different the shows felt due to my location. To whoever was talking about the reserved seating issue, I couldn't believe they gave y'all those seats either. Right behind the lights?Q! seriously?! What was up with that? I noticed that as soon as we got in. Glad I opted for the pit!
This show was unreal, though, and I can't wait for the rest of the shows this month! It was great to see everyone again.

Obviously not the person I'm talking about. This girl came up to about my chest and I could easily see in front of her. I was also surprised by how many people wanted to mosh to the songs. The guy I was next to was wanting to start a mosh pit during the various Ghosts songs and Hurt which is just mind blowing.And I would have to say another, "Fuck Knoxville," along with recent posts. The people there were dicks and, yes, the March '06 show there was a hell of a lot better crowd wise... fucking drunks. This one kid trying to push behind me was like, "I'm just trying to get to the pit." This was during one of the Ghosts songs too... I was really hoping for: Meet Your Master, The Warning, The Wretched, The Big Come Down, Reptile. I thought that Only was incredible! It ws like a completely new song the way that they have re-worked it. The light show was otherworldly, Vegas hasn't got shit on Nine Inch Nails! I was surprised to see so many "diverse" people in Knoxville, I guess I had a slight sterotype or preconceived notion of what the people would be like down there; some of them were cool and well some were just plain fucking nasty! I was surprised and a little dissapointed to see all of the empty seats. My back and neck were so sore from the drive that we switched from the floor to the middle of the venue seats, back to the floor and then back to the seats... It was cool to get the multiple vantage points/perspectives throughout the show like that. I did fuck up and missed the "glass shattering" effect during the Ghosts set... What a fucking bummer that was. I think that the volume overall was just a little too low, but it still sounded great!!!! Joah is like a robot when he drums, the way he moves his arms is pretty cool to watch. Alessandro was cloaked in the shadows most of the time, it would've been nice to see more of him. Robin was like a giant up there! And just seeing Trent mother fucking Reznor again was just awesome!!! This show was REALLY fucking, incredibly, amazingly GREAT!!!!!! My favorite part, "I think", was watching the entire damn show!
No, I'm not ragging on it. I chose to live here. I'm ragging on the idiots from Knoxville that went to that show, then dry humped and beat my organs trying to get my spot in the front the whole time. I've been to MANY NIN shows where the front center was not that bad. I know the Knoxville dialect, so when I heard all the ranting about "pussy songs" (Ghosts) I knew they were locals. Im 24, and maybe you're just around the redneck assholes. The assholes in Oak Ridge TN are dwindling People need to realize assholes are everywhere and at every concert. Just so happens knoxville has rednecks. I seriously didnt notice anything out of the ordinary, and my 13 other friends that went havent expressed anything about how the bad the crowd was. I'm not sure what software you can use to view the DVD source files (which is what those BUP and VOB files are) directly on your computer (though I'm sure there is something available), but you can burn them directly to a DVD using all sorts of different burner software. Just burn it as a data disc and watch in your DVD player. I used a free one I found on CNet called DeepBurner and it worked fine, though I'm sure there are better ones out there. Hope this helps. If I can help you more, feel free to send a PM and I'll try to explain as best I can.
While I'm posting, I'd like to say a big thanks to geordy for making this DVD available.. I downloaded through nintorrents a couple days ago and I'll continue seeding for as long as I can feasibly do so.
